Best wok I have ever used.
I love everything about this wok including the little pamphlet giving you tips on how to use it and keep it’s integrity. Thank you Joyce Chen!

Good for what I use it for.
I bought an open box item. It was missing some things but that's fine. I wanted a lower price on the wok and that's what I got. My last one same brand has lasted over 10 years. If I get half of the use from this one I'll be more than satisfied.

Great Cooking Vessel ...
I just got this wok and it is already proven to be a great cooking tool. I think that a smaller wok would be too small to cook anything worth mentioning. But anything bigger than 14" diameter would be just too large to have on the stovetop. At 14" this is already a fairly sizeable pan. Add the handles and suddenly you are taking up alot of real estate. That is why I keep mine in the oven when it is not being used. Cooking with it is great. I am fortunate that my stove has one very large, very powerful burner where I place this wok. The carbon steel is very responsive to heat changes, but also seems to hold heat very well. Filling the wok halfway with oil I was able to easily make some delicious sweet and sour chicken. The side drain rack we great for these but also restricts access to cooking food, so have a long spider. I was also able to fry about a .25 pound of catfish nuggets at a time without crowding the pan or having a terrible drop in temperature. The flat bottom of the wok is great. You can set it on a burner and turn away without risk of disaster. The wood handles never got more than "warm" while cooking, even with oil splatter hitting the helper handle. The lid is aluminum and incredibly light. I appreciate that it has a smaller diameter than the wok, so it sits about 1/2" below the rim of the wok. Using the wok lid at the same time as the drip rack still makes a decent cover. Unfortunately this wok does not have a pour divot or spout, so like all round pans it is no fun to pour out oil. However, as long as the vessel you are pouring into is stable you can use the helper handle. And that makes the whole job much easier. Cleaning the wok was a breeze. Just some hot soapy water and a wipe down. As I said I store my wok in the oven since it dominates the stove with its size. The accessories are decent quality but might be unneeded extras for some buyers.

Easy fast cooking and clean up
Second one in 15 years. Damaged first one by overheating while distracted. Probably would have lasted longer if not for my mistake.

i didn't know how much i needed this
because of the pandemic, my regular chinese take-out place had closed, as has my favorite sit-down restaurant so plan-c was learning how to cook my own. after quite a bit of shopping, i settled on this very nice wok set. i have a glass top electric, so flat-bottom was a necessity, and non-stick was on my nice-to-have list. this provides both and is of good quality. i didn't want to chance damaging the non-stick surface, so i also bought a set of silicone utensils. reminder: unlike carbon steel or cast iron, non-stick surfaces will degrade over time. take care of them and you can at least hope to get your money's worth before having to replace them. today i made fried rice and stir fried chicken with a bunch of veggies. the pan warms up in a reasonable time and stays hot. the helper handle comes in handy because it has some heft to it. clean up is a breeze with soap and water. overall, a very good buy for the money.

I don’t think it’s supposed to scratch this easily.
Just received last night and opened the box this morning. Looks good out of the box. Directions given for seasoning it. It tells you when you start to do the oil coat layers to heat sides of pan so I rotated the pan using both handles to heat up the sides as well. You are supposed to rub a paper towel to spread the oil as it is heating so I’m paying attention to the inside of the pan for my first layer of seasoning not realizing the outside is getting very scratched from rotating the pan on the burner grate of a portable gas stove. I have a ceramic top stiff but figured the portable gas stove would do a better job heating the sides. At first I’m thinking I can live with that considering all the great reviews and what matters is how the food cooks (though I am disappointed in the scratches). I decided to switch to the ceramic top stove for the additional layers but I’m noticing flaking more as I add additional layers of the oil. Im only on my third layer but Im really wondering if I should continue putting effort into continuing the seasoning process. Even my fingernail can flake the outside coating off. Im planning to return this pan but I'm going to present a question and see what response I get. Im worried the areas that flaked off will get rusty. I haven’t even cooked with it yet. Im just in the middle of seasoning it. Inside looks good though. I’ll update my review if I get a satisfactory response.

Replaced the same model after 10 years
Our old Wok died after 10 years. The bottom was burnt and impossible to clean. Wife said get me the same Wok! Searched on Amazon and found the exact same Joyce Chen Wok on sale. Love it and hope it lasts another 10 years. Maybe, next time I want to try the regular carbon steel one and try and learn how to properly season it and maintain it (alas my wife said she is not going to help me do it...). So that's why we went for the non stick one..and are very happy so far.

Great nonstick wok set if you are willing to pay the price
For those who don't want to deal with having to remove the "coating" off the cheaper wok in this listing, this is the one for you. I researched a lot before buying this Wok and after using it for several months, I am quite happy with my purchase. It is by far the best nonstick wok I've ever owned. It has a flat bottom and is pretty heavy and sturdy. I like it that way, but some people might have a hard time lifting it with one hand with food in it. It heats up quickly, absolutely nothing sticks, and very easy to clean with a sponge. It does not scratch or loose its coating. Joyce Chen's catalogue says it has a 25 year warranty. We'll see, but so far I'm very impressed. With respect to the accessories, the wok lid fits perfectly. The frying rack and steamer are bonus, though I have not used them yet. The wooden spatulas and chopsticks are a nice extra, but not the best quality. Make sure you dry it after cleaning, otherwise tiny spots of rust do appear as it's iron after all.

I am very happy that this item is what it says it is.
I like its durability and the fact it works on the induction plate. Definitely worth the money.
