Great basic for the price

MOCK NECK IS THE "NEW" NECK FOR 2020!
As most women probably already know, the "mock" neck is the new neckline for 2020! I was always a fan of the mock neck, as it's a cross between a crew neck and a full on turtleneck, so I was glad to see this neckline make a comeback! The Drop, one of Amazon's newer clothing lines, has a variety of women's and men's clothing and each article so far has been constructed with excellent quality...no hanging threads, always straight lines sewn along the cuffs and hems and material to die for! I have about 8 different tops from The Drop, so it's a large enough variety for me to be able to share and compare my thoughts on them. With that being said, this pure white mock neck is made with a ribbed material, 92% modal (a cotton like fabric) and 8% Elastane (a spandex like material), and has elbow length sleeves. This is an excellent combination for elevating a causal "tee" shirt to a dressy tee shirt. I've worn this mock neck with a pair of faded and destroyed jeans and boots and a few long necklaces and it looks fabulous. I've also worn this mock neck with a black pencil skirt to a meeting, which I was completely appropriately dressed for. Having the elbow length sleeve gives this tee shirt that little extra to look really sharp as well as be office appropriate and polished. The fabric is not thin or see through at all, it has a good weight to it and drapes almost with a silky feel to it. As far as sizing goes....I'm 5'7" tall with an athletic build. I weigh 140lbs and I wear a 34 D size bra. I purchased both the size Medium and Large and found that either one would be fine, so I find this tee shirt to be true to size, as I normally take a Medium in most tops, which is a women's size 8. When I laid them out on the bed with the Large one underneath the Medium, I found the only real difference was a half inch more width in the large as well as an extra inch and half in the length with the Large. The size Medium was slightly more form fitting, but not body-con fitting by any means. The large felt just a little more roomy but the additional length was most helpful for me. The size Large lands about 3" lower than my hip bones and I found this to be a great length for me, especially to tuck it in. It's long enough that it didn't come untucked at all and I didn't have to fuss with it at all. If I wanted to wear the shirt with just the front tucked in at one side, the size Medium would be perfect for that. As for price (less than $25), this is not a "throw" in the drawer cotton tee shirt, but rather it doubles as a work appropriate top as well as a weekend wear top for an evening dinner out, so I feel it's a good value because it's a classic "tee" that will be able to be used for many different occasions and for a long time, if cared for properly. I definitely give this one 5 STARS and would recommend to friends and others looking for a lasting wardrobe staple! I hope my honest review of this top helps you with sizing, etc.

Exactly what I’ve been searching for
I’ve been looking for top like this for a long time. They are very feminine on. Can be worn with jeans, joggers or a skirt!!! Buy a bunch! Wear with a beautiful necklace, or not. The price and quality are great.

Runs very small
I usually order a S in tops from The Drop and they fit every time. This top was so tight in the chest and arms that I’m not sure if I should return the S for a M or L. Definitely size up. But the material is soft and nice.

Cute enough and lightweight
I love a turtleneck or mock turtleneck especially in the winter. Cooking and running around during the holidays, I just get too hot for a cute sweater so I'm always looking for a short-sleeved turtleneck. This one is a bit too thin for me to wear alone, so I would have to put a cardigan or blouse over it but it's still cute so I kept it. I think it ran a bit small but it has a good stretch to it.
