What a great lamp, I purchased the floor design. Its everything and more, great quality and the price makes it an incredible value. Nothing could be easier to put together, the most difficult part was pushing the extra cord into the base. The only flaw for me is the height, I wish it was taller, I have it on a stool. Great find!

Good lamp, unpleasant unboxing experience

I absolutely love the lamp, now that I'm done unboxing it. This lamp has to be seen in person to truly appreciate its beauty and even its quality! That 'crystal' part is solid glass (or maybe it's crystal, I don't know). It's beautiful. I didn't know it was solid until I unboxed it. I thought maybe it was more like a glass bulb in its construction. The finial is solid glass too. Now, about that unboxing experience. I feel that I could go on and on about it, but I'll try to be brief and just say that I think these are packaged in a VERY dusty warehouse by people who have sweaty or even greasy hands. They also use that extremely cheap Styrofoam that breaks and flakes apart extremely easily. I had a quite a mess to clean up when I was done. I was very unhappy during the entire unboxing process, and I became increasingly unhappy throughout it. I was almost *desperate* to finish and get rid of the mess. So yeah, it's a 5-star product, but I hated the unboxing. If I had a way to separately rate the product packaging, I'd give it just 1 star, and I don't think it even deserves that. The packaging was very protective, sure, but wow. I had to wash my hands when I was done setting the lamp up. They felt very grubby. Even now, I still have to clean the entire lamp to get rid of whatever is all over it. I can't *SEE* whatever this stuff is, but I can definitely feel it. So even though I am giving the lamp 5 stars, it's the only Jonathan Y product I'll ever buy. I seriously don't want to go through that kind of an unboxing process ever again. I guess what I'm saying is, if you aren't bothered by such things, then the only thing you need to know is that this is a 5-star product all the way. Actually, there's 1 thing I'm not impressed with: the lamp cord. It looks very nice (exactly as advertised), but it's one of those stiff lamp cords. That made the assembly more difficult than it would have been if the cord were much more flexible.

Quality Control Issue with Gold Tone on Pole Pieces

Beautiful Style, however hugely noticeable difference in the gold patina of the poles that screw together to form the upright of the lamp. Ordered a replacement lamp which has the same issue, but on a different pole (poles cannot be disconnected from the cord to fix). This causes the lamp to look cheap and clearly outlines where the assembly took place: Very obviously striped instead of seamless. Not hopeful a third replacement will be any better. Appears to be a production/quality control issue.

LOVING MY NEW LAMP

I received my lamp yesterday and to my surprise it is prettier than the picture. It was easy to assemble and it just put the final icing on our bedroom. My husband loves it. It brightens up our room completely. We removed our ceiling light and needed something to give enough light to our room and this lamp did just that.

Elegant, classic floor lamp. Extremely pleased with the result

This is an elegant, classic floor lamp. You can tell a lot of thought went into the design and packaging. The combination of a soft brass finish, crystal touches and class barrel shade perfectly complements my library. It has a satisfactory heft as well. The packaging was well-designed: efficient and effective. The included LED bulb was appreciated. Yes, even the silk-covered power cord was a nice touch. I'll be looking for more products by this company.

Nice floor lamp with a little imperfection

Received the lamp on schedule. The bottom cover to seal the base, has a little opening The welding part of the U-shape rod to the screw was tilted a bit, so the lamp shade is tilted a bit at one side. I added a paper clip to balance it. Too trouble to exchange, I keep it. I like the heavy brass base.

Está muy muy bonita la lámpara. La calidad es excelente y alumbra muy bien. Llegó super bien empacada y protegida. Definitivamente es muy buena compra. Seguro volveré a comprar ésta marca.
