I really wanted to love these, but I just can't endorse them. For one thing, the sizing is completely inaccurate. They vary widely from one size to the next, (I have ordered more than one size, trying to find a good fit for my 12 month old daughter)! And they often run large. It also really bothers me that organic socks would be coupled with something like nylon, but it's hard to find any that aren't, so I'm not even deducting a star for that...just making note of it. However, what I am deducting stars for are the following: Inconsistent product: I have ordered a few different pairs...some arrive with the little grips on the bottom, while others do not. Some appear to be much longer than others. Odd sizing. Grips: When you do get a pair with the grips, they are useless, since they come off all over the place! The same thing happened with socks that I bought for my eldest daughter, from this same brand. They shed the grips EVERYWHERE. Not something that pleases me, when I have a baby crawling around on the floor...& she puts everything in her mouth! Which brings me to these socks, that I bought for my 12 month old. The 1st pair that I bought was in the 12-24 month size...they did NOT have grips, even though that is an age range where the child starts to walk & could use the extra grip. They were also HUGE, (and way too long), so I then bought the 3-12 month size, thinking they would work better. They do fit better, but they came with the grips...as did some that I bought for her when she was a newborn! Why would a newborn need the grips, but not a 12-24 month old? And I was not pleased that the grips came off so easily, when babies are known for putting their feet in their mouth, and anything/everything else that they might find. Quality: These are thin to begin with, but they're decent to start out. The issue that I have is that they wear very quickly. My daughter's socks started to wear in the heel after only a few weeks. To the point where they might as well be thrown out. I continued to buy this brand for the baby, since she wasn't walking yet & I really only wanted something to keep her feet warm that was also organic and relatively affordable, but I wish I'd paid more for better quality. Practicality: And finally, I read reviews before buying these, & bought them in part because others had stated that these socks stay on. I haven't found that to be the case...even when they fit properly, they just slide right off as my baby is crawling around or trying to stand up. As an infant, she would just pull them right off. They stay on my 3 year old, but that's a totally different situation. I am a huge advocate for organic products and I really wish that I could give these a 5 star review... I love that they are affordable and come in nice, neutral colors. I like that they use organic cotton. But those are the only positive aspects I can list for these socks.
