Supper comfy
I bought this product due to a bonespur in my right shoulder, the item arrived and is perfect. I am pretty tall about 6'2 with very long arms and its hard for me to fit in most products however this one is super adjustable and very comfy. It comes with a removable arm "spacer" I think its called its like a foam wedge that fits very securely to the sling thanks to velcro and has a little waist band as well. Or you can remove it like I did based on your own personal needs and the sling is very comfy. Next pad is suffuicient though it will take a little time to get adjusted just perfect for you. I also found the button snaps on top of the sling very easy to use and great for helping to secure your arm in it. I have recommended this to my friends and will deff be keeping it for years to come as I am bound to reinjure myself. It is also totally reversible so a righty or lefty can make it work with ease. :)

works great once you put it together
pro: a very well made and versatile product which can be assembled in several versions. much better quality and more comfortable than the cloth sling from the emergency room. cons: it is warm and can't be worn without sweating on both the forearm, and the chest. It took a long time and a lot of trial and error to finally configure it properly, there were NO instructions included. yes, it is worth the additional money over the basic sling and i could only have assembled it properly by using the cloth sling as a pattern. without the cloth sling, it would have been a nightmare to assemble it properly.

Buy at your own risk!
The sling comes with a lot of straps and removable parts which is good and bad. Good because you can customize it, bad because it's hard to figure out how to use it. There are no instructions anywhere! Not online, not on the manufacturer's website, and nowhere in the packaging. The stabilizing pillow that it comes with is super comfortable however, the sling is not breathable. My arm fell asleep many times because of the design of the sling. I ended up returning and using the flimsy one the hospital gave me.

When finally figure out, it is very nice.
The company could put a one page instruction sheet in the package and charge a dollar more. My spouse and I retired from the health fields and I have had to use many slings. This one has three extra pieces and parts that look like they are supposed to be used. After two hours I finally got my old sling out and found out only two of the five straps need to be used. Not average consumer friendly. Tried their website, but it was of no assistance. Just the owner speilng.

Here's the size chart.
The packaging has a size chart that maps to cuff length. Small — 9" - 12" Small — 12" - 15" Small — 15" - 18" Small — 18" - 21" The side cushions are one size. I'm 6'3" 215lb and the Medium fits but just barely. The XL is meant for much bigger folks. The sling is a great upgrade from the ER issue, but I definitely have an extra strap I don't see in the photo and don't know what to do with.

Arrived incomplete. Manufacturer unwilling to help
The sling appeared to be just what I needed to immobilize my shoulder during recovery from an injury. However, the sling arrived without any instructions and assembly did not seem intuitive. I spoke with a customer service rep at the company who emailed me instructions (the only way to get them it seems). The instructions called for parts that were not part of my sling. I called back and the customer service rep said that it appeared I had received a defective unit and that I should return it to Amazon. She said the company was unwilling to deal with me directly because of vendor agreements with Amazon. I explained that by the time I worked back through Amazon the recovery would be over and the sling not needed. She said that the manufacturer, Maxar, was unwilling to deal directly with customers. I told her that this would be reported in a review with a very low rating and she acted very nonchalant saying that I should do whatever I wished. I don't believe I have ever encountered a customer service operation as completely unwilling to be helpful as this one. They must not need my business and I suggest that you look elsewhere also.

So many options, in a good way
My husband had rotator cuff surgery and this was the best of all the items we purchased for his recovery. You customize the pieces to do whatever you need them to do. In his case, he put the support block (that photo shows pulling the arm away from the body) so that it was under the arm. He felt support while standing and when he sat down it also felt comfortably propped up. The many velcro pieces attach and reattach to any surface or piece you need them to. Directions are not necessary, in my opinion, because this is so versitle that you adjust it to exactly what you need...and change the configuration to support the body's changing needs. Highly recommend.

Comfortable
Worked very well preoperative. Postoperative, the movement of the arm away from the body it not very comfortable. The you tube search on setting it up for wear as suggested by a previous owner was very helpful as the included instruction from the manufacturer are nonexistent.

Best product for your money
This is the second time my husband needs shoulder surgery. The last time we purchased a support from the orthopedic clinic at the hospital. It was in no way the quality or did it provide the support that this product does. The flexibility of wear makes it that much more important for the person wearing it. The comfort it provides while in use is beyond any lower cost alternative. You get what you pay for. Be smart, do yourself a favor, and spend a little extra to get the support you deserve.

Supportive
I am still using this for my broken arm in cast. Very comfortable and supportive. If your arm is an xl, get medium. Still very comfortable even for the big size, lots of room for sweater sleeve. I’m loving this sling after many trials and errors. Instructions a bit confusing but I figured it out.

More Features Then Expected
I purchased this product and seller based on one fact which was I needed it quickly and this seller was one of few that had a pillow and 2 day delivery options. The picture didn't display the thumb tab or the stress ball which was the one i wanted that had a waist pillow which is a must for any shoulder injury. I was utterly surprised and thrilled mine had both extras! Good material, good clips, shoulder pad.

Probably fine, just no instructions and hard to set up
Following a rotator cuff repair, I thought I would order this as it seemed to be better than the sling I was given at the hospital. There were no instructions included, however, we did find some online. It was incredibly difficult to try and set up properly when you're in a decent amount of pain following surgery, I would not recommend this type of sling for that purpose, for anything else it would be fine.
