After our attempts to fix the broken filter cylinder failed, we decided to purchase a replacement. Fortunately, the package included all the necessary components for a seamless replacement. The new filter cylinder fit perfectly with the old system, saving us from having to purchase an entirely new filter system.

Filter blew its top off after 6 months

Well it came with two and only needed one, about 6 months in I hear a pop and water flowing and see that the filter case blew apart. See image. I guess the good news is that it did come with two but I’m afraid it may happen again

iSpring is awesome! RCC1UP translucent purple filter housings

I wanted all three of my iSpring filter housings to be translucent purple, so I purchased these to match my RCC1UP reverse osmosis unit. When they arrived, they would not screw onto my system so I sent a message via email to Brian at iSpring. Turns out there are two different “thread” types on these canisters, coarse and fine tread. THE `PTK’ TYPE HAS THE COARSE THREAD, AND THE `AO’ TYPE HAVE FINE THREAD. For what ever reason, I got the wrong set to fit my reverse osmosis unit and Brian went way overboard helping me! He asked me to send him a picture of the type I had received and a picture of the top of the filter housing on my reverse osmosis unit and confirmed I had the wrong type to fit my iSpring RCC1UP-AK system. He then promptly sent out the correct Pair of filter housings along with a couple other Small parts to complete my installation of my 2nd iSpring reverse osmosis unit. I can not say enough on how wonderful the customer service center is. I want to call them the customer CARE team, because that is what they do. They do care! I’ve owned my business for 34 years, and sometimes staying in business is all about the service you provide your customer base after the sale is made. And trust me, Brian is a master at helping the customer with their needs or concerns. He flawlessly addressed the issues I had and sent out the stuff I needed to finish the job. Their products are top notch quality and the service they provide even after the sale is most impressive. I haven’t seen this in such a long time, the great attitude and friendliness poured out into emails and even on the phone when I called and spoke with Don. God bless this company and the great employee’s that make this company work!

Don't ever buy another Coralife replacement canister again

I almost didn't buy these and I'm so glad I did. I have a Coralife Pure-Flo II 50 GPD RO/DI system for my freshwater aquariums and I just cracked my 3rd canister. There's a serious design flaw in the Coralife canisters that leaves them weak at the base of the threads. Just lookin at one funny is nearly enough to crack one and you really have to crank them down to get a good seal, putting additional strain on an already weak area. I ordered yet another replacement before seeing these. Two complete setups for the price of a single bare Coralife canister. Figured they couldn't possibly be any worse and I'd get two, so I promptly canceled and ordered these which also had the added benefit of Prime Shipping. I expected these to be a knockoff and a direct fit for the existing tops. Not even close. Every inch of these is superior to the Coralife, from the cap to the canister. The caps have more meat, the threaded portion of the canister is thicker and it has a larger o-ring at the seal. Once I saw the difference, I installed both and plan on picking up another. The inlet and outlet fittings are a 1-1 match and the mounting holes matched up perfectly. The only caveat to replacing your Pure-Flo canisters with these is the DI cartridge. The large white seal washer on top is too thick to allow the canister to screw all the way down. Thankfully they pop out and a had a random o-ring with the same ID as the OEM washer and a wall thickness slightly more than the depth of the recess for the washer. The way the top caps on these are designed, they have an inside beveled sleeve around the outlet stem that protrudes further than the OEM Coralife. Using the o-ring allowed me to still get a good seal at the top of the cartridge and screw the canister down tight. If you're not a hoarder of random parts, your best bet is to probably take the cartridge to Ace or someplace else that has a wide assortment of loose o-ring and try till you find the right one. I'd post the dimensions but I'm already making water. Superior product for half the price. What more can be said.

Threads do not fit previous Spring unit.

The threads of this canister do not fit the existing cap from my iSpring 5 stage unit. In order to make this replacement part work, you would need to disassemble all other housings, take the mounting bracket off, all hoses connected to other housings etc. You basically have to risk rebuilding the entire system just to replace one housing. Why would you change the threads on an OEM part????

The old part is leaking water after 7 years, replaced it within less than 5 mins and the filter works again.

Great Customer Care

I ended up cracking my first stage filter housing of my 5 year old 6 Stage ISpring RO system (which I love). I purchased the housing you see here only to find out that the threads have changed. I got in touch with Don at Ispring and he fixed me up with the correct item. Returned what did not work and installed the correct housing. Very happy! Thanks and keep up the great work!

Great service

iSpring has excellent customer service. I ordered these to replace a unit that had sprung a leak. The unit was already installed in our house when we purchased it so I don't know it's age. The fittings snapped when I tried to put the new canisters on. iSpring responded to my request for help and sent me replacement fittings for free. They were super quick in their be responses and helped to make sure that everything was ok.

Only if you're a handyman.

This product has square threads rather than the typical triangular pointy threats, so you will have to remove all three heads that the canisters mount to from off the bracket that they're affixed to, then disassemble & reassemble the head/s. - a surprising thing to have to deal with considering this is being sold under the auspices of "everything iSpring". Other than that, it's a great product and the particulate filter from iSpring fits just fine.

Useless junk

These cartridges are a useless piece of junk. Immediately upon installing them - they leaked. Did not last 4 days before leaking. It seems like everything you buy these days to save yourself some $$ is extremely poor quality. The quality of this product is in the toilet.

Literally spent three times as much replacing these cylinder caps then the filter cost.... Designed to break after 3-4 months.... And there's three in the unit....what a rip off .can't even just but the lid where it usually fails. Terrible company

Used item!!!!

One of the housing is clearly used. Seriously? Also since the housing were sold in pairs, I was expecting the screw connector to link both housong, but none came.
