Good looking boot, little large
They look sturdy and would last a long time, just finding the correct fit is hard to do, We got a size bigger, in a wide, they was to long and to wide, returned got a pair half size smaller and this time got reg width, instead of wide, these was to narro,. so, I'm going to make a guess and say order half size bigger in a wide. unless you have small feet. still well made boot

lowest priced item with met guard. proper features for foundry, but poor materials and sizing
The metguard leather going to the toe is the way to go. I can't find other shoes like that. The first thing that happened, is the leather loop on the back tore off. The heal box too large by far. The leather that takes the laces wraps all the way around my ankle, leaving no space between the sides of the shoe, so laces don't tie well. If they just put the eyelets further away from the tongue I would be able to lace them better. making the healbox smaller would also help. getting rid of the loop on the back would also be good. Had to get insoles... expect to for most shoes. I had to bump this up a star from 3 to 4 because how all the other shoes have nice channels for molten metal to go in. this one has the metgurd flap correct, and the leather in the tongue should stop some that flows in... but the quality of the materials is poor, and I have to walk slower because of loose shoes... but for the price, 4 stars is earned. I've had them about 3 months now and parts are threatening to fall apart. I work with molten brass and aluminum. there is a seam that is amplified by the loop in back that is totally unneeded. I bought carhartt insoles and some leather heal box support leather. this definately needs those I have 11.5 shoes, size 12 carhartt insoles fit without cutting. the toebox seems fine. the boot can't lace tight. the plastic sides leave a gap above the heal, the hem of my pants will cover this... I don't think these would be worth it if there were any other shoes with metguards in stock... I step on molten metal frequently, and I believe that the stiches thru the tread may cause rapid decomposition of the shoe.

Worth buying
They fit good but they really could use a better insole. I will buy some and that will make them better

Buy them
I needed these type of boots and wear a 13 wide. These feel great and comfortable out the box. I wasn’t expecting a lot from these boots but so far they lasted me three weeks. I sometimes put heavy steel plates or something on them so help me move stuff. I will probably buy some Timberland type but if your a worker who just started and need something fast this it. Also I have flat feet and my feet do get tired but these boots keep me going. I also weigh 300 pounds and jump around in them at least 4 ft and they felt good.

A lot of protection for the price, runs AT LEAST 1 size too big
I bought these for chainsawing, didn't really want to cut a foot off. I read all the reviews, and ordered down 1/2 size. I wear a 10.5 regular width in every other shoe/boot I've bought in the last 10 years. The 10 I ordered (1/2 size down) felt HUGE. I had to send it back and I could not decide if I should go down to a 9.5 or a 9. I went with the 9.5. It fits better but is still a bit loose. I believe the 9 would have fit snugly but well, and that is 1.5 full sizes below what I wear in every other shoe/boot. They are fairly low arch which is good for my foot. They feel fairly comfortable, and are heavy as you would expect for this type of construction and protection. As for the quality, they seem well-made. As mentioned in other reviews, the inside back where the heel goes is a bit rough and would take some breaking in. There is just stitching there that is not covered in padding that you can feel, not sure how long it would take to break that in. For me, for the price and the amount of use they are going to get, I am happy with them. It's a lot of protection for under $80. If I was going to be wearing these 10 hours a day, 5 days a week, I'm not so sure. I would have probably sent them back again and tried the 9, and looked at more expensive options. If you take a chance on these are are in the size 10-ish range, I would definitely start 1 full size lower than usual.

Best boot I have owned, especially for the price.
I did not have to break the boots in before they felt comfortable. Which I found to be great cause I am on my feet 10 hours a day and didn’t have to deal with my feet being sore for a week while wearing my new boots. Boots size isn’t quite true fit I have to wear a pair of wool socks for boots to fit snug . Definitely are the best boost I have owned .

Highly recommend if you are a welder.
I haven't had splatter burned through to my foot since I started wearing these.

Quality for the price!
Read reviews saying order smaller than your typical size (me being an 8 US) I ordered a 7.5 US and it was too small. Returned, ordered an 8.5 US and fits perfectly. So.. Maybe sizes differ elsewhere? As far as the boot goes, very comfortable to begin with. My previous CAT boots were very uncomfortable at the start and had to break them in, these are comfortable to begin with so they will only become more comfortable as they are broken in. Only downside for me is that the heal is a bit rigid, and you will get a blister soon if you don't tie the boots properly.. If tied properly and are tight the heel does not lift inside of the boot. I'll post again after a week of use. I weld, fabricate, machine, and assemble, 90% time these boots see cement floors. Sofar.. Highly recommend! The price is unbeatable for the quality... will review again in a 1-2 week time.

Great quality boots.
After having these for 3 months, they are truly comfortable. They took two days to break in. The original laces only lasted a few weeks of welding 10hrs/day but the boots themselves are incredible. Stitched soles are a must and I feel like nobody talks about it as glued soles just peel after a couple of weeks. I kneel down repeatedly to do underbody tacks and welds with no steel toe split or leather split. The metatarsal guard goes up the perfect height for kneeling comfort. All and all, a great boot and will be my new go-to!

Size are mixed up and not accurate at all
The size of showing on the screen do not match what you receive in real life it like if you ordered a nine and a half you would receive a 10 and a half or 11

Great welding boot.
Great boot. They are pretty comfortable been wearing them for a couple weeks and my feet feel great with a good pair of insoles I put in all my work boots. Don't understand why they put threading around the leather and the sole for a welding boot? We'll see how they hold up. Price is also very good.
