Would prefer break away Velcro

This was great, large brim offered good sun protection. I would prefer a Velcro strap under chin that could break away. I didn’t want to let my girl out of my sight with this hat on just in case it got snagged on something.

Great sun hat

So far I’ve used this hat at the pool and beach for my 5 month old. It stays on great, the flap stays out of her face even after washing, and it kept her from getting sunburned. The chin tie and ability to tighten around her head kept it on. My only complaint is that the chin tie takes two hands to tie but in my experience the Velcro ones are easier to be pulled off or come off while playing.

Big and floppy - works well

This hat fits our 7 month old perfectly. She has a little bit bigger head. We are in Kauai during December, the sun has been shining but not burning any of us. I am confident it keeps her whole head and face shielded from the sun, as well as her shoulders and some chest and back. The only reason I don’t give five stars is because it does make it a little hard for her to look around, but that’s part of why it works so well. We’ve switched back and forth to a smaller hat that doesn’t have any uv protection guarantees.

Super Cute!

I was looking for an option that would keep the sun out, but stay on my baby's head. This does it all. It has a wide brim, so additional shading such as sunglasses are not necessary. It has a 'cinch" to tighten or loosen it, which is a great option and will grow with the baby. I ordered the infant size and it fits my two month old great, give or take a few months. Not sure it will still fit at 6 months.....but I think the price is good enough, that I will order the next size up by then. If there is any negative about the hat, it would be that brim is a tiny bit too floppy, so I have to readjust it to keep baby's eyes visible. But, that being said, I don't think it would be comfortable for the baby if it weren't as soft and comfy as it is.

fabric looks cheap and attracts dust, brim is too wide

This hat looked very cute on amazon but we ended up never really using it. It is made of polyester that looks really cheap and does not match the rest of our baby's clothes that are mainly made of cotton. Also, the fabric really attracts dust and any kind of dirt. So beware of dropping it anywhere outside, for example. On the positive side, it does wash pretty well and dries without crinkles. The second reason we are not using it is that our baby hates the brim. It is way too big to be functional. Whether she is sitting on a swing or in our baby carrier or leaning against a wall, the brim is always in the way and getting crushed by the chains of the swing, by the babycarrier or me or by whatever she is leaning against. It certainly provides protection against the sun but that does not help much if my baby spends the whole time on the playground figuring out how to take off the hat. I also got her the flap happy flap hat which is made of nice cotton, looks cuter and does not seem to bother her at all. So we are using that one and left the iplay version at daycare as an emergency hat should we ever forget to bring the flap happy one. All in all, I do not recommend this product, it is neither pretty nor useful.

Great sun hat, floppy for water play, though.

It is cute and my 11 month old daughter doesn't rip it off nearly as often as a hat with velcro. I agree with the review that says it's not meant for water play, though. Even a brief sprinkler gigglefest wound up with it super saggy/floppy and over her eyes. I also bought the 9-18 month hat when she was around seven months old and it fit her well (both of my kiddos have 95-99% head circumferences, so we buy hats pretty large) with sliding the brilliant toggle strap under the brim. Now that she's 11 mos., though, it's too small so we'll be buying the 2T size for the rest of the summer.

Le quedo perfecto, no hay más. todo esta muy bien con el sombrero, no se cae, tiene buen agarre, solo que si tu bebé es muy curioso y estira todo lo que ve, prepárate para abrocharlo una y otra vez, pero una vez que agarras la forma para que no lo encuentre, todo estará muy bien

Buena calidad

Mi bebe tiene 18 pulgadas de diámetro en su cabeza y 9 meses de edad. Le quedo justo. No hay necesidad de ajustarlo mas . Espero le dure un poco mas. Se ve muy bonito.
