Good
Very nice design and easy to open and close for a toddler. Has lasted more than a year of regular use now and still good. Have not tested it for completely liquid or runny consistency foods though it holds pasta , rice and berries well. The food also stays warm for around 3 hours but have not tried very hot foods in it since the lid is still plastic and some steam gets trapped in which makes the solid food or breads soggy after a while. So i cool down the hot foods for some time and let the steam escape before closing the lid and packing. Though i was looking for a steel layer in the lid as well so that no part directly in contact with food is plastic, but this is still serving the purpose well as generally i do not pack piping hot foods for kids lunch. Sizewise, it can fit 2 small square sandwiches (edges removed) / 2 cups pasta ; a portion enough for a toddler lunch but no sides.

Safe lunch containers - easy to open
I bought this for my preschooler's lunch and just came back to buy a second for my older son. Of all of the stainless steel containers that we have tried, this one is by far the most user friendly. Most importantly, my 4 year old can easily open and close it on his own. That means that I can use my preferred container without driving the preschool teacher bonkers - who can open lunches for 24 kids at once? Also, he can close it firmly by himself so I don't have food sloshing around in his lunchbox to clean at the end of the day. The silicone seal is removable, but seems to be seated really well. The interior stainless piece is removable, I usually toss that in the dishwasher and wash the lid quickly by hand. I could live without the exterior plastic part that the stainless "box" sits in, but the lid doesn't work without it. Overall, it's not a hassle at all and doesn't come into contact with the food. Update 4/2013: Our 2 containers are still going strong after 6 months. They go to school every day, bounce around in his backpack, then go through the dishwasher every night. The seals are still holding very well - overall they're just like new. We've been washing both pieces in the dishwasher for a long time with no problems at all. If we ever need more, I'll be back for these. I don't see a need to replace these for a long, long time.

Great lunchbox for toddlers
I purchased this lunchbox for my 2.5 year old who started preschool this fall, and so far it's definitely met our expectations! It's the perfect size for a child of that age -- I can pack a good selection of items in small quantities. I haven't had any of the lid issues other reviewers have mentioned...ours fits just fine and is easy for my daughter to open on her own. The color and pattern (we have the fish) is cute and subtle. I will note that I haven't tried to pack anything that wouldn't hold up at room temperature or just a shade cooler, so I can't speak to its insulating qualities, but I liked having the stainless steel for food safety reasons. My only quibble is that it's hard to pack dry and wet foods together (like a sandwich and fruit)...I use a silicone baking cup with some success. I recently looked through Amazon again and discovered they do sell a lunchbox with a partition so I may purchase that next to compare.

Finally found our lunch solution
I've looked a long time for a solution to pack my children's lunches, who generally eat warm rice dishes, pasta, and thick soups made from home. I used to pack them into a thermos, and then they'd move the food into a wide tupper to eat from. It wasn't feasible of course to keep doing that. The shape is perfect to eat directly from, containers are easy to wash in the dishwasher, lids open easily, and a bonus is if you buy the smaller size containers too, which I have for snacks, the lids are interchangeable. To keep food warm a few hours (and I emphasize warm, your expectations shouldn't be piping hot), I zip them into a padded sleeve with a zipper like the kind that protects a tablet. I would encourage the company to offer one as well. When I pack liquids, I line the top with plastic wrap and pop on the lid, but only because I'm paranoid. The seal is very tight!

As far as I know, this product is okay. Forget the first review. After one use, the top on this product broke. I am disappointed when I asked if a new lid could be sent. They told me they could but the rubber aroudn the lid had to be saved????????????? Too late, the lid was thrown away as it broke! Tacky! Buyer is expected to re-insert some rubber part of the lid! For the price of this item, forget it! Will never order from them again. If a six year old girl can break this product by taking the lid off, that's pretty sad!

Decent
Smaller than expected but it's ok. Purchased for my son for school since he's a picky eater and wanted something to keep food warm. He says the food is warm when he eats lunch but it's not hot. He seems context with it. I put boiling water in it and close the lid for about 5 minutes before I put in the food in it. Not sure it makes a difference but it does make the metal bowl inside hot.

Great buy
I like the metal part for hot food contact as I try to stay away from hot things on plastic. This product has been great for sending hot foods I heat in the mornings. It doesn't stay hot but I pack things like pizza and nuggets so it's still a little warmer than room temperature. It's also great that it's deep enough to actually put enough food in for my 5 year old + another container for fruit or a side.

High Quality/Function , Super Cute,
These are great for my daughters lunch box and I admit to borrowing them as well to carry veggies or berries. They aren’t huge, but will serve for a sandwich or cut fruit or even chips. My only challenge is the price. It’s definitely not free, so I highly recommend whipping out that label maker to make sure it comes home.

Produit de bonne qualité
Excellente qualite de fabrication, super simple a nettoyer, la cuve en inox se desolidarise du plastique qui la protege des coups et bosses. Pas forcément super simple à ouvrir pour un enfant de moins de 5/6 ans (d'où l'étoile en moins)
