Up date. After use.
The sizing is one size down from normal. I usually wear 10.5 wide or 11 medium men’s work boots. These inserts fit like size 9. I still use them in some boots but IF I was to reorder I would order a larger size 12 ? Maybe. Also they are very narrow ! Also the metal separated from foam insert with in a few days of use. NOT worth the money. I was to late wearing to return for a refund.

BUY A SIZE DOWN!
My purchase was to use these in a pair of size 11 Converse hi-top sneakers. I bought the men's size 11-12. I cannot imagine these fitting even in a size 12 shoe unless it was a wide width. Several issues, the least of which is because of the metal bottom, there is very limited trimming possible. Perhaps a scant 1/4" at best could be trimmed for length. The width was virtually untrimmable. To get any value at all out of the pair I bought, I ended up ripping off the metal sole and using it under a Dr Scholl insole. Even then I could barely get the metal base in because it was just too long for a size 11 shoe. So I literally threw away 65% of the product in order to use any of it. I checked it against a pair of casual shoes just to see if the issue was the Converse shoe size/shape. They were also size 11 and same issue - too wide and way to0 long.

Extra peace of mind
Wore these on the paradise fire cleanup. Many people got nails and other various things in their feet. I managed to not get one in my boot while wearing these in not 100% sure it could stop a nail from a 180lb person taking a confident step over some debris that's a lot of psi, but I'm sure it could deflect many that aren't a straight shot. As others stated insert unglues from steel in a small amount of time. I didn't find that to be a problem though the boot keeps it where it's supposed to be

Hallux rigidus relief.
No More PAIN in Left big toe. No more limping. 12-16 hrs a day on feet working. First tried insole in my house slippers. Not very comfortable. Next removed stainless steel plate from insole and placed under Powerstep Original Full Length Orthotic Shoe Insoles. Started wearing Powerstep Original Full Length Orthotic Shoe Insoles in all shoes including slippers years ago for Plantar fasciitis. Then started limping at work from toe pain. Went Dr got Xrays showed maybe broken toe...bottom line was diagnosed with Hallux Rigidus and surgeon wanted to put screws in toe joint. Opted to try these and similar plates. Other brand rusted to nothing in 6 months but worked also. These plates are stainless so they last longer. Cut insole off and cleaned off glue and foam with razor scraper. They fit all of my shoes and boots tightly Size 11 under Powerstep Original Full Length Orthotic Shoe Insoles.

This Impacto Rhinotuffed Puncture Resistant Insole made a very good arch support for me.
I injured my left foot with a fall and needed some arch support. The local insoles were worthless. Besides, I had a stainless steel flexible arch support many years ago which went lost. It helped me for years. My first pair came and it was helpful. My foot was still blue from the bleeding but it was helpful. Right foot is alright, as I insured the left foot. The orthopedist said he saw no fractures on the x-rays. Last night I striped the insole down to the flexible stainless steel and bent the metal, cleaned off the padding until I had shiny metal on both sides. I matched the right insole to the left insole and put them into my shoes. There is some response from the metal to give support and and some bounce. I wore the modified arch supports for a few hours on and then off. It seems to help. It actually felt so good, I bought two more pairs. Might just put them into my other shoes so I will not have to move them around much. The reason I took the padding off the insole was to have more play for my foot and toes. It definitely gave me more room in my shoes..

Very comfortable !
Very comfortable ! These are so comfortable I actually forgot I had metal plates in my boots for the past 2 years . The metal plates are very flexible , when you walk it just feels you like you have regular inserts in your boots . If you wear out the foam insoles you can use the metal plates with any insoles that you want . I would buy these again and I highly recommend them !

Very comfortable
More comfortable than I thought. They feel like regular insoles. If you need to cut them down to size, make sure you have some good, sharp tin snips, etc. They are very difficult to cut, but this makes sense given their function. In retrospect, I should have used an angle grinder.

They've held up well in constant use.
I put them in a pair of heavy walking shoes to stiffen them up and relieve a broken toe. They are working pretty well.
