Keeps us from having dentals done!
My dog is now used to the taste and may even look forward to having his teeth brushed.?? Saves us a bundle and my buddy's mouth is healthy which means he's got a leg up on good hygiene thus extending his life with me. *If you think you'd never be able to clean your dog's teeth, you can. Your motivation is the vet bill of $500-$1000 and of course your canine's longevity. Start by applying the gel paste with your fingers. Do this for a week or two before introducing the toothbrush. When using the toothbrush be gentle or it can make their gums bleed ;(. As I introduced the brush, I used one hand to hold my fingers on one side of his mouth near the molars. This allows me to brush the opposite side top and bottom and he's not able to lock me out. I then repeat for the opposite side. He's got one molar that goes way deep and can seem hard to reach. Then I have to be careful brushing his front teeth as the gums seem more sensitive and so i just swipe them lightly. When I have to take my dog into the vet for other reasons they always comment on how healthy his teeth look. Its so worth the effort!

BUY THIS ASAP
My German Shepherd has always had bad teeth. She never liked the Nylabones or Benebones, which meant that her teeth were never cleaned and the plaque on her teeth were never scraped off. When she was younger, we’d get her teeth cleaned professionally, but at 7 years old and for a different procedure, we found out that her heart can’t go under anesthesia anymore. I was desperate to still get her teeth cleaned somehow and I found this toothpaste with crazy good reviews. The review photos alone sold me on this product. I read some concerning reviews on neem oil, but considering that you’re only using a small amount to brush my 75lb dog, I took my chances. I brushed her teeth regularly for 3 weeks, and one day, I tried to scrape the plaque off like one of the reviews mentioned. LO AND BEHOLD, the gunk came flying off revealing pearly whites! I didn’t even know that was possible! How could her teeth be that white?! It had been so long since I’ve seen her teeth THAT clean before that I forgot it was supposed to be white!! Almost immediately, I subscribed for an auto-ship on it to keep it coming so I’d never run out! In the photo, the top is the before, and the bottom photo is the after.

Works great!
My dog has had to have several teeth pulled over her short 5 1/2 years of life. After her most recent dental I was desperate, so I went digging and came across this. It’s only been a few months but the plaque on her gum line hasn’t shown its face yet again. She doesn’t get fed in the morning so I let her out in the morning and rub the toothpaste all over her teeth when she comes back in. It’s important yo make sure they don’t eat 30 minutes after you use it to give it the best chance of working, but we give this product 4 paws!

Great so far
My dog actually likes this toothpaste. We tried the arm and hammer one and it seems to work alright, albeit slowly, at removing tartar. However, one of my dogs hates having his teeth brush and he has plaque buildup. This toothpaste he willingly ate and tried to take the tube! I will say this being a gel consistency makes it more runny and harder to apply to their teeth if you're trying to use your finger. Will update if any adverse reactions as my other dog has allergies to most things.

Works
I have a maltese dog which know dental problems they need brush teeth and oral care. He lost some some teeth and had vet clean his under ansethia. Now I know I keep up with and use this. He not had go back for the past few years. Keep tarter gone if keep up with almost daily and brush in between just apply this gel on all his teeth. Best withhold food and water for a least an hour to give best results

My pup likes it
I got this for my puppy so I can't say how well it works in removing tartar since she didn't have any. All I can say is she hates the other toothpastes we've gotten and likes this one... so this is the one we use :)

Works quite well—but mostly air in the bottle.
Works almost as well as a brand I used to buy which was discontinued. More of a maintenance product than a fix for stuck plaque. The bottle DOES contain the advertised amount. However, the packaging is the usual post-Covid deceptiveness—half air, half toothpaste in the same bottle, which makes it very hard to squirt out. Could be in a bottle 1/3 the size. Works, but prepared to be annoyed by that.

working well beyond my hopes!
My rescue Basset Hound came to me with a serious tartar problem. Because she had so many other health problems, we dealt with the worst things first, thinking to do the dental later this year. In the meantime, I started looking for ways to perhaps lessen the tarter for her BEFORE the time for the dental came. I bought this toothpaste and a silicone finger toothbrush for dogs (just slips over a finger, has little knobs on it). After 10 days of applying once per day to a specific area of her mouth (about 20-30 seconds each time), I decided to try and see if it had loosened the tartar. Previously, I had used the same dental tool trying to remove it but it was on her tooth like cement. With only a very gentle downward push almost all the tartar came off the worst of her back, left side teeth. The pieces I could catch are in this pic, but many others came off as well. Over the next couple days most of the rest of the tartar in that section came off too. There's just a little remaining. I'm now going to move to the other side of her mouth and work there. I just do one section at a time to avoid stressing her too much. She may still need a dental, but it definitely looks like this will improve the situation considerably and we'll see what the vet says. Her gums can hopefully get healthy now, too, since the tartar isn't pushing up into the gum line.

It seriously works, and well
Like 99% of the people out there, I too am always skeptic when trying out a new product... I have 2 chiuahuahs, both are now 7 years old. Like most small breeds, they are notorious for having bad teeth, mine were no exception. We didn't really brush as much as we should have, and it showed. The tartar build up was getting bad on their teeth. Ranging from stained yellow, to green and then darker brown plaque. We decided to smarten up, and be more pro-active with brushing. I really wish I took pictures now, because after just a few weeks, the plaque started falling off. Its been about 2 months now, and I swear you would never have guessed that these dogs used to have some vile looking teeth. The plaque is virtually gone, and now all that's left is some yellow stain that will most likely be gone in another month or so. I cant believe how well this product worked for us. TLDR - Absolutely works, even on hard plaque - I find it doesn't freshen their breath, but i really dont care as long as it works - Their breath is naturally better, since the plaque and gingivitis is diminishing - Natural products. My pups both have sensitive stomachs, and this doesn't bother them at all. Even though other toothpaste has in the past. - will definitely recommend and buy again

AMAZING!
My dogs plaque is finally falling off his molars (discovered it on Feb 1). He is on the Royal Canin Dental food which isn’t doing much since he seems to be swallowing it whole. Then I discovered Plaque Off and he’s been using that for about 2 weeks. However, I used this enzyme toothpaste TWICE and the plaque is chipping off the tooth with my fingernail. If I had to start over, I’d start with the Vet’s Best Enzymatic toothpaste! I’m amazed!

Beware of the container.
My husband and I have a problem trying to squeeze the tube to get the gel on to the brush. In fact if it was left to me I would not be able to squeeze the tube with a bad wrist due to a fracture years ago .We do not understand why it is so hard because a lot of people would not be able to do this .Then our dog does not know whether she likes it or not.
