He called me up ecstatic as soon as it arrived and reported it was the most fun he'd had in a while

I got this for my brother who's in the military and lives far away and loves frisbees and other flying devices. We always talked about getting a giant frisbee as teens, but never got around to it. So this was a nod to our procrastination all those years ago. He called me up ecstatic as soon as it arrived and reported it was the most fun he'd had in a while. He likes throwing it to his German Shepard, who is super gentle, but still this means that the Beamo can withstand exposure to big dogs. A few weeks ago when I visited him, we had a catch and it lived up to my brother's praise. We're both experienced with heavy Ultimate-grade frisbees and frolf disks, so it took some adjustment to be able to throw this thing. But once I got it down, it was a lot of fun. It performs well with tricks like hammer throws and throwing around your back, and these can be done safely (without breaking anyone's face). While this is basically a toy for kids, don't let anyone tell you that a 275 lb military musclehead can't have fun with it too. I can also imagine that it'd be a lot safer to use in public parks or beaches (where college hippies often mess around with plastic disks and accidentally ruin picnics with bad throws).

Fun for Dogs and Kids, But You Can't Choose Color

This little frisbees hoop as entertained my two dogs, as well as my friends' 3 year olds for hours! It is a lot of fun. Unfortunately, I should have read the item's page a little more thoroughly, as I thought I was getting the green and pink one. However, upon further inspection it looks like you don't get to pick your color. I wish they had made that a little more obvious (I still kept the item and have used it a ton, though). So this is just for anyone else that might not have realized you don't know what color you're going to get!

Everyone should own one

I didnt properly read the description when I purchased this and was surprised at the size when i received it. I originally told my son we would be returning it, but decided to keep the tag on and throw it once. As soon as I threw it, I knew I was going to keep it. It is absolutely one of the most fun yard toys I've ever used.

Gets the kids off the electronics and OUTSIDE!

Bought this for my energetic 4yr old nephew. I first saw it at 'It's Your Move' at my local mall. I fell in love with it (I think I wanted it more for me), but I did not fall in love with the price. So like most shopping trips or order while we are out of at home most items from Amazon. I wanted this one because it's huge. It gives plenty of area for kids to grab when they try to catch it. My nephew enjoys it a lot he's a little clumsy but can catch this easier now throwing is what we need to work on. Pros: Stitching is very strong Large size Glides great in the air Easy to throw Easy to catch Material is durable and thick Weighs very little Will outlast kids playing with it outside

Worried it would be too big for my kids but I was wrong

My 9 year old and 4 year old girls love playing Beamo with me. We had the junior model for a few years and after several summers of use it was wearing out. I hesitated to get the larger one because of my 4 year old who is on the petite side, but in the end I am glad I did. My girls have no problem throwing it and catching it is a breeze. The outer edge is padded which helps with the occasional errant throw or missed catch. It is also fun for adults to throw. I can't wait to bring this one to the beach this year. I think the size will make throwing it in the ocean breeze a blast. I highly recommend this toy!

Fun toy, but is not as durable as I thought

I bought this for the grandkids (ages 3 - 6) and adults to play with at a family reunion. They loved it. Unfortunately after two days, I found it bent. I am not sure how it happened. We took it apart at the seam. We cut the plastic tubing out of the steel joining piece, tapped out the plastic piece that was still inside the steel joiner (it took some work as it was glued in), and reassembled it. It looks fine, and we are hoping it will hold together. It is a very soft toy and flies far, but is breakable. Note: I emailed Beamo about recommendations on how it could be fixed, but they never responded.

We purchased this hoop for my son for his 5th birthday. He's had other jumbo sized flying discs but they all had a hard plastic/vinyl covering that tore at the edges and fell apart. This hoop's material has shown to be very durable so far as we have played both on the grass and on the street and it still looks great. The hole in the middle of the hoop adds an extra element of fun as tit provides he receiver with more options of catching the hoop. You can either stick your hand/arm through the hole or our favorite way by letting your head go through the hoop and down your body. This is a well made hoop and provides lots of healthy family fun.
