Excellent product!
Built with quality. Lid seals shut very well. Definitely keeps everything very, very cool. Delivers cold air to your contents. Items stay cold for hours also when the cooler is unplugged. Fan is very quiet. Cord outlet connection is built solid. Very pleased with this Igloo product and strongly recommend it. An improvement would be to design the lid so it has some extra clearance to allow space for items stacked at the top of the cooler.

We use this on a semi truck. It keeps our food and drink very cold. Just keep room at the top for circulation . The lasting look lasted us 5 years plus. I will not use any other.

Igloo customer service is Great!!
I bought this electric cooler for my car. It stopped working a year later. I called them and they replace it free. Wonderful customer service!

Works great but handle pops off way too easily
Works well for my needs. I generally fill it with food and drinks for an 8-12 hour day in the hot car. The directions recommend pre-cooling. I usually throw an ice pack in at the start of the day so that the unit does not have to work hard. However, it doesn't really seem to be necessary. It is a well-insulated cooler to begin with, so with an ice pack on a moderate day I don't even plug it in. It does not use an excessive amount of power. I have forgotten to unplug it and run it for hours when the car was off. It did not draw down the battery so much that the car would no longer start. My only beef is that the handle pops off WAY too easily. I just press it back in place and keep going... General Disclaimer: As of yet, no one has ever paid me to write any review on Amazon or otherwise given me free product to write one.

Works well for road trips
It works as intended. I put reusable ice packs inside to get it cold to start the trip. It works well, but I wish it came with ac wall outlet adapter.

Great customer service
I purchased the 28 qt. cooler a couple months ago to use on a 4k mile plus driving trip. It worked great. We used it in a couple of motel rooms too using a converter. The converter quit working and it still kept the food cold overnight, but we did have several frozen water bottles on the bottom. We did have an issue with the 12v cord, probably our fault with plugging and unplugging it and shoving the cooler around in the back area of our vehicle. We were able to get it to work good enough to last the entire trip. When we got home, I went to their website to order a new cord. Couldn't find it listed so I emailed customer service to try to get a part number and order one. They got back to me very quickly and ended up sending me a free one that I received on a coupe days. I didn't ask for or expect it. I was happy about getting the cord for free, but I was more impressed that they got back to me me so quickly. Not all companies seem to be doing that these days. One note, We have 2 non igloo brand converters and with one of them, the cooler just clicks on and off and won't work. So if you are going that route be sure to check to make sure the one you have or are buying will work with it.

A Must-Have For Any Road Trip
Used this cooler on three recent 1,000-mile road trips on hot (+90°F) sunny summer days, and I can happily report that it exceeded my expectations, and fully met my needs. I followed the advice of other reviewers and made sure to put mostly cold or chilled items into the cooler, as it performs best at “keeping” cold things cold, and less well at “making” warm things cold. Most of the hotels I stayed at had small refrigerators in the room so I transferred the cooler contents into the fridges at night. I did, however, place several unchilled bottles of soda and water in it throughout my trip, replacing beverages as we consumed them, and the combination of the cooler’s refrigeration element along with the other cold items in the cooler served to make them cold as well over the course of a couple hours. I rate this an A+ for saving me the traditional cooler hassle of finding ice, refilling and draining. I also appreciated the complete lack of condensation on the bottled and canned beverages I consumed while behind the wheel. The only negative, and the reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5, is the power cord connection on the cooler lid. Because the cord connects to the lid it severely limits your placement options inside your vehicle, especially if you want to be able to safely open it and remove an item while driving. I was driving a 2020 Suburban and my only choice was to place it on the passenger seat with the lid front facing the seat. Unfortunately I didn’t take note of the strain placed on the cord outlet initially, and as a result I bent the outlet pegs slightly, which required me to very carefully bend them back into alignment with a pair of needle nose pliers. Be careful not to make this same mistake and you’ll do just fine. Also, you absolutely must keep the top of the cooler clear so as to not block the fan vents located there. Overall I’d say this is a must-have item for any road trip. Very durable and large enough to hold several sandwiches along with at least a dozen cans and/or bottles of water, soda, etc… I haven’t used the heating function and so I can’t speak to that.

DANGER-PLUG MELTS!
I bought this cooler four months ago and the original plug melted. I’ve since purchased two more plugs; both have melted! I’ve stopped using it as I’m afraid it may end up burning down my truck. How the hell did this thing get CSA approval?! Don’t believe me? Google “Igloo cooler melted plug.” I’ve contacted Igloo and have yet to receive a response. Needless to say, I’ll never buy another Igloo product again.

NOT very Sturdy
Worked as it should for... 3 days. The cooling part works fine. I have no complaints there. Had about the equivalent of 6 to 7 cans of pop in which is much less than its stated full capacity. Picked it up from the truck seat and the handle separated from the cooler which went crashing down on the ground, separating the top from the cooler hinges, so it is of no use any more.. after 3 days. Would have thought that the handle would not separate from the cooler with so little weight in the cooler. VERY DISSATISFIED and have returned the product !!

Wrong pictures in description
I bought this cooler based on the pictures provided in the description, however I received a significantly smaller cooler than what was pictured. I haven't tried the cooler yet, but im not very impressed with the misleading pictures.

great cooler
Good value, cools well with good room. use it upright or down. buy the 120 volt adapter. We have used these plug in coolers for years...and I mean years. Would not be without one. We often live in remote areas hours away from towns and refridgeration so these are great when transporting milk, chicken and any thing that would stand extended times of warm or heat.
