Easy to use

I like this style of paper towel holder; it's easy to change the roll and it dispenses paper towels without and hang-ups. I was looking for metal units but these seem to be sturdy and do the job nicely.

Old-school paper-towel holder

I was so relieved to find this replacement for a simple, old-school kind of paper-towel holder. It gets installed with screws under a kitchen cabinet, but I didn’t have to drill new holes! I was able to use the bracket that was already installed. It correctly installs so towels are put in from the right. But I need from the left, so I turned the holder around. It still works fine but shows the back of the holder instead of the smooth front. Even though the old bracket is a different color it is hidden by the lip of the cabinet. So convenient! Works as expected. The previous holder lasted for years and I hope this will too.

Inexpensive, pretty easy install, & holds Costco rolls!

I bought a few of these...one for each bathroom, one for the kitchen, one for the garage, and one for our personal work out room. Pros: - inexpensive - holds Costco Kirkland brand oversize paper towel rolls - lightweight - all hardware included - super easy to reload another roll on Cons: - a little tricky trying to figure out how it snaps and unsnaps for installation, but after doing one, I was able to do the others - can't put it anywhere (wanted to mount it under a shelf between two shelf brackets, but the brackets were so close together, that I couldn't slide the main part of the holder on to the hardware that I screwed into the wall, so I had to figure out a different place) - didn't fit in our cabinets, so I had to opt for mounting it in clear view (although they are very clean line, so they don't look bulky) Overall, the pros for me outweigh the cons. It is so nice having our paper towel rolls in each room that we need them in. It sure makes it easier and faster to clean each bathroom, having access to rolls right there. And, it also works well in our garage, as well as our workout room and kitchen.

previous one lasts 20 years

flimsy plastic that swivels, can be wall mounted (sticking straight up in the air, vertically) or under cabinet (horizontally)...took a chance that it was basically same unit/size (some reviewers said it was) as my old one which failed after twenty years of use and abuse. YES!!...so was able to retain the old screwed in wall portion, slide prong through its two holes and slap on cover. Bingo! ... here's to the next twenty....and yes, it is a little tricky prying apart the two or three unified pieces under the shrink wrap...would've been much more considerate and user friendly to ship with parts already separated for you, but it is what it is...

Poor design, does not pivot just tilts up, not reversible, anchor with metal screws in plastic only

The holder itself is not solid it is concave as you can see from the photo. This means that it is not reversible in mounting direction. Description says it pivots. No it does not pivot from right to left, it just tilts up and down, not sideways and the sole function of that is to allow a paper towel roll to slide on. Imagine the sturdiness of two screws without anchors in plastic. Not likely to hold up. This product is nothing like the previous fully cylindrical (not concave) model of this same style that came with bi-adhesive or screw mount from about 10 years ago (which I installed in a property and is still there, working perfectly just with adhesive that came with the kit. I do not recommend it.

Good value

So glad to find this replacement for a previous one. We've used this type in our laundry room for 28 years. It gets used multiple times during each day because that's where the dogs are fed and the utility sink is used often. Have replaced it just now for the second time. That averages out to 14 years each for the previous two. Not bad for a "cheap" plastic product. The best part about using the same type for replacement is not having to drill new holes. Just unscrew old mount, replace with new one and back in business in minutes.

Light weight

I have one of these in my shop mounted vertically. Wanted another to mount vertically in the new RV we have on order. It’s light weight and takes up little room mounted vertically.

It's great, but...

Great for what it's meant for. Does wobble even when installed properly. I don't care for the fact that it moves while you are trying to pull your ppt's off but it doesn't bother me too much. I'm still using it, but I may end up changing it out for one that stays completely still all the time. Holds any size ppt. Decent look for my kitchen. I don't love it, but I don't hate it. Great buy for the price.
