Icebreaker comfort & quality; skiers best defense for staying warm

Others have complained this top is too thin. It's not! It is an AWESOME top for layering. Wore today when it was 16F and was very comfortable with this as the first layer. Felt invisible on. The sleeves are extra long; the neck is comfortable (no zipper digging in) and best of all - the fabric moves with you. Only downfall is the top is not overly long and I fear after several washings could shorten a bit. Not sure when manufacturers will ever figure out that skiers like long items to tuck in for when the occasional fall down a black diamond occurs. We do not want snow going underneath layers and touching our skin when it's cold out! Icebreaker is $$$ but worth it when you are out in the elements for hours on end.

The very best Merino

This may be a little expensive, but it fits great, is very warm and stylish. The merino wool is super soft and a joy to wear.

Functional and Fashionable!

I just love this under layer because I can wear it alone as my only layer and it looks very hip. The zipper collar is a must to control body temperature when out cross-country skiing or snow shoeing. I love just wearing it around the house when a heavy sweater or two layers would be too much. It's fitting but not tight. Easy to move around in it when exercising outdoors in cool weather. The sleeves are long but not too much and it's got good length in the torso. I am 5'9" with a long torso with an athletic build, size 12. The large fit perfectly. The sizing dimensions are very accurate. Very nice quality too. I'm going to order this brand for some leggings!

Good, not great. A little scratchy.

I like the Icebreaker brand because of the quality of fabric. When I got this I was a little disappointed. The color is fantastic and it runs pretty true to size, but the wool was not nearly as soft as some of my other tops. It felt a little scratchy and was a heavier weight than I had anticipated. Also, o guess because they consider this a base layer instead of a mid or outer layer, it doesn't have thumb loops. Overall this isn't a bad top, and for the price, I'll keep it. It just doesn't quite measure up to some of my older tops.

Well made

I bought the next size up to wear as a second layer.. 5'6" 135 lbs, 38" chest. XL is perfect fit over a lightweight close-fitting wool t shirt. Great for hiking.

Sheer in tight areas, comfortable, very flattering, no stink

Loved this top. Lived up to the ‘no stink’ advertisement and is very flattering. I wore it under a Columbia PFG shirt for 5 days. It is very sheer in areas where it’s tight (chest area even with A cup). I ordered an xs because I am 5’1 and 100lbs and it fit just right. Will continue to buy from icebreaker I was very pleased with the quality.

Decent shirt for the price

Looks like I thought it should, fits well, a little scratchy. I especially liked the packaging. I hope the scratchiness will soften after I wash it.

Warm but bobbles immediately

The top is warm and fits as expected but the fabric bobbled immediately after carefully washing. I was lucky the side seams were not twisted. Some other Icebreaker tops I bought previously had twisted side seams indicating poor production quality so the only reasons I risked ordering this was the extremely low sale price and the sleeves being long enough for my long arms. I would never pay full price for Icebreaker items.

bit see through

I have similar weight T shirts which are more opaque than this top. Its design made me think it could be worn not just as a baselayer but as a light top on top of a T shirt. Returned it for refund unfortunately.

Perfektes Shirt für hohe Ansprüche

Ich habe nach einem Shirt gesucht für eine mehrwöchige Wanderung, was leicht, schnell trocknend, atmungsaktiv und warm ist. Hier wird alles erfüllt. Es kratzt nichts, 2-3 Tage kann man das Shirt ohne Geruchsbildung auch bei großer körperlicher Anstrengung tragen. Der Schnitt ist gut. Für eine Größe von 166cm und einem Gewicht von 57KG habe ich XS genommen, passt optimal. Auch nach mehrmaligem Waschen bleibt alles in Form. Mir war wichtig dass die Merinowolle auch ohne dem Schaf Leid zuzufügen hergestellt wird. Laut der Beschreibung von Icebreaker ist dies der Fall. Dafür muss man halt etwas tiefer in die Kasse greifen, aber das war es mir wert. Ich trage das Shirt auch beim joggen, auch hierfür bestens geeignet. Hier kann man eine absolute Kaufempfehlung aussprechen.

DEVE vestire molto attillata se volete il caldo sulla pelle. La merino è una garanzia, rimarrete sempre caldi e asciutti con una piacevole sensazione di pulito, fondamentale in viaggio o in escursione dove cambiarsi e indossare abiti puliti non è sempre possibile. Considerate SEMPRE 1 o 2 taglie in meno.
