Be careful installing it.

1. The slots for the screws in the mounting bracket do not go inward far enough to allow you to run the long wood screws they provide straight up through the inside of the ceiling fan mounting box and in to the wood reinforcement plate it should be attached to. I was forced to put them in on an angle. I've installed several fans with this type of mounting bracket and they all had longer slots so you could get the long wood screws inside the box. There are holes in the metal mounting boxes just for this so you can go right through the box in to the wood reinforcement plate it is mounted to. 2. The metal housing that the glass light cover attaches to was put together wrong at the factory and it looked like the glass was going to fall off when I put it on because it was only held by 2 of the 3 screws. They stripped out a screw hole and just left it there and the assembly that the light cover twists on to was sitting on top of the screw. I had to take it apart to get the screw out and find a larger screw and force it in. 3. Once I fixed that the light cover would no longer twist on easily. I've seen other complaints about this. It's an easy fix. Take your thumbs and pull down on each of the 3 tabs that the light cover twists on to. This will tweak the frame a little and bring the tabs down far enough to get the glass cover on smoothly again. When they ram the screws in at the factory it tweaks the light cover mounting frame and pushes the tabs out of alignment. Once I fixed that the light cover twisted on easily. 4. The light flickers when turning it on and off. I've seen this before on other fans that have the fade on/off feature for the light and eventually the lights won't come on at all. After waiting weeks for a replacement part on that other fan I got tired of no light in the room so I cut the little fader circuit out and bypassed it. There is a little circuit in that bundle of wires you have to attach the connector to for the light. Find the two wires coming in for the light power and cut the circuit and connectors out and use wire nuts to connect the wires directly to the light. It's a nice looking fan but it was a real pain to install because of the messed up mounting bracket, the bad assembly at the factory, and I'm 100% certain the light fading circuit will burn out in a month because it's doing the same thing the others I've had did just before they burned out. It's not very bright at all with the included bulbs. I put higher lumen LED bulbs in and it was better but they flickered a lot more than the ones that came with it when you first turn it on. I didn't use the included remote. I'm using a smart fan controller. Search Amazon for B08PD39NLF. It's made by Esmlfe but works perfectly with the Gosund app. and probably any smart control app you may be using.

Light turns off then back on

It was a 30 minute install (like any other ceiling fan). Need to twist globe off to change fan direction. Fan runs quite and moves a lot of air. The light goes from off to bright as you hold the button down, once you set it then it stays set when you turn it off. Tap the light button to turn it on/ off. My issue is light will flicker off then back on occasionally. Since I don't use the light very often, it is not big issue. When I need the light then it becomes annoying. In general a good fan, would purchase again. Would mount in a room that it would not be a main light source. I have this fan mounted in the living room. My skill set for ceiling fan installation is professional

Works great...eventually

Recently purchased and had installed the 52" brushed nickel Hunter fan and light. I also purchased the extension rod as it was to be mounted in the kitvchen on a slanted ceiling. The brushed nickel looks great with the stainless steel appliances. The fan blades comes with one side brown and the other side grey. Again the grey is a nice accent in the kitchen. The fan has three speeds and all speeds perform well. Now to the light. The light and fan operate off of a remote control. The light is dimable, with two 9 watt LED bulbs (60 watt equivalent). The light it gives off is adequat at the highest level. If you remove the light cover, you will see a label that states that the fixture will accomadate up to two 14 watt LED bulbs. I purchased two 12.2 watt Philips LED (75 watt equivalent) bulbs and installed them. The results were much more to my liking. Now to the problem. After the electrician had installed the light, I found that every 5 to 15 minutes the light would shut off and come back on, all in a split second. Pretty annoying. I contacted Hunter customer service through email ( the phone wait goes on for ever - they answered my email in about 5 hours). They told me to deactivate the remote and then to activate it. The process for both is the same. First turn the light off using your remote, for 5 seconds, and then turn it back on. Then press and hold the fan button, while still holding the fan button, quickly press the light button 2 times. The dimming feature is now deactivated. You then follow the same process to reactivate the remote. The intermittent off and on of the light should now be fixed. I could not believe it, but it worked for me. I now have a beautiful fan with a light with a dimmable feature, that looks great in the kitchen. Hope to alleviate cooking woes on those uncomfortable summer days.

Top notch ceiling fan. Highly recommended.

Love this fan. Probably one of the best ceiling fans I've ever had. It is extremely quiet, well balanced and looks very sharp in our bedroom. It moves a lot of air, even on the lowest setting. It appears to be very high quality for the price. The remote works flawlessly and comes with a wall hanger which is very convenient. I highly recommend this fan.

Good fan, quiet, effective

Fan is quiet, even on high, with no buzzing at all. Comes with balancing bits, but we didn’t need them. Moves a lot of air. Clean style. Only complaint is that the light is dim. Will look to replace the bulbs with brighter, warmer bulbs.

The fan was delivered fast. I installed this in our bedroom using the shortest down rod provided in the box. The installation Instructions provided were good. Took a little under 1-1/2 hours. The fan moved lots of air at the low setting and is very quiet. No wobble. We had trouble mating the remote to the fan controller, and actually removed and reinstalled the fan controller twice making sure connections were correct and the controllers antenna was clear to accept the single from the remote. On the 3rd attempt the remote made connection to the controller. A great fan at a reasonable price, I would buy it again.

My favourite!

Love this fan! I just recently bought several new ceiling fans for my house, all the others I went and picked out a a store so I could see them. I couldn’t find what I wanted for this particular space in store, so I turned to amazon. Bought this fan sight unseen and it is the fan that I like the most. I did not install it, so I can’t speak to that. It’s super quiet and moves lots of air. The light isn’t the brightest, but works for our space. The only downside for us is that you can’t change the direction of the fan from the remote.
