The ensemble weighed in at (7) ounces. It’s not (100%) cotton The listing says 100% cotton, it is 95%, see picture. Why Honest? We selected this 2-pack ensemble because we have had great success with previous Honest Baby clothing (we are buyers of their care products). We were not disappointed. These clothes are premium. GOTS certified organic cotton Now this ensemble is made of 95% cotton and 5% elastane, not the 100% noted in the listing, we will not reduce a star but the person who entered this information should be more careful. This is like jersey cotton; everything has nice stretch to it. Now, the cotton that was used, was rich, soft, smooth, and GOTS certified 100% breathable organic cotton – we had never seen GOTS*** certified baby clothing, until we found Honest clothing. This added certification sets these clothes apart from other organic clothing we have. When was this made? 09/2022, we received this during January 2023. We think GOTS certification is important for me, but the label was absent that reference. I would suggest Honest also not that on the laundry tag too. Yes, we understand that GOTS can be simply referenced on the packaging, or the clothing’s paper tags, which was done here, but we think the certification should be permanently referenced on the clothing, because baby clothing is frequently passed to others and the person down the line would likely appreciate knowing that the cotton that was used was GOTS certified cotton. Colors The dark navy-blue color seems to be a fade resistant color, which is not easy for blue. Although we do use soaps that are made for dark colors. Value For a 2-pack ensemble, this is reasonably priced and represents competitive value in clothing for an important name brand as Honest Baby, when considering all this outfit has to offer. Name brand We try to stick with name brand, because name brands typically have high standards for their clothing. Washing This outfit is easy to wash, with like colors. Baby stains, within reason, tend to fade away and I see no dryer shrinkage (although I tend to be conservative on temperature and time). This outfit dries so nicely that we may not iron it, but we usually do for that perfect look. Fit This is spot on for the age, and it has a perfect length and sized head and arm openings. I want baby to be comfortable I think the outfit is comfortable for our baby (I know, toddlers, but they will always be our baby), as we find no rashes here, there, anywhere, and the babies do not tug at their clothes, a sign they are uncomfortable, like we have seen with other outfits. The beanie had just the right amount of stretch to fit any toddler head without discomfort or impression. Attention to detail I really appreciate the attention to detail placed in fabricating this outfit. For instance, the finishing, raw edge trim is perfect. Which we find in premium clothing. It’s the difference between a homemade frock to a couture made gown, it’s all about sewing technique, these are first rate. The nine (09) snaps in the diaper changing area have never failed and we have never had to struggle with them. The snaps act like they are supposed to. Our babies are growing every day and we are so happy we can use the helpful products from Honest Baby. Giftable Great for gifting as there are nice tags and labels that explain the many features. GOTS ***Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is a global certification with strict standards for the processing of clothing and home materials made with organic fiber. Only textile products that contain a minimum of 70% organic fibers can become GOTS certified. These fibers are made with no GMOs, no highly hazardous chemicals, and no child labor. Producers must also have a strong system to protect the health, safety, and rights of their employees and have strict wastewater treatment practices. Yes, I would select this again and again.
