Great cutting glasses
I bought these to have while I’m going to school because I wanted something other than my welding hood. They are great for cutting with the torch and with plasma cutters which I use frequently and my favorite part by far is they have a little bit of foam around the edges so it hugs your face which makes it super hard for sparks or other flying debris to get in your eyes. Definitely would buy them again in the future if I ever need to

Great product
Bought these for work and they work great for a plasma cutter. They are dark enough to safely look at the cutter but not to dark that they block out all other images while not looking at the plasma cutter.

AWESOME WELDING LENSES!!!
Great to be used under the welding hood, or even in daily life specially for people with high sensitivity to light !!

Great product.
Well, as a former welder, these are nice glasses. I wish I had them when I was using a plasma cutter or regular torch. Since I'm not welding anymore, I wear them outside and inside when I am having a bad migraine. They keep the sunlight out and once you get used to wearing them, they aren't bad. You might have trouble with green stop lights. Both of my brothers were born color blind and they told me they have to look at the light position on a stop light. I can see the.red and yellow fine. Hobart makes a great product. I lost my first pair and had to order a replacement pair since I couldn't find them locally.

Brown tinted glasses.
The tint on these glasses is more brown than the normal green tint you find on cutting glasses. I don't know if that's better or worse, but something to make note of. There is a ring of closed cell foam that goes around the lenses that pushes up against your face. This probably increases safety with keeping sparks out and definitely keeps more light out, but it can become a little sweaty and it takes a little getting used to.

WARNING Not fit for purpose by themselves if you intend to weld or cut.You need a full face shield as well
If you intend to buy these to weld or cut.You will also require a full face shield as well.Without a face shield you will run the very real risk of having spatter or material explosion, coming back at you & slipping through any gaps as they don't seal against the face,no matter how close you try to press them. For the record some molten material did just that,i was lucky it was a very tiny piece that entered the inner corner of my eye & had no serious affect other than an irritation..More disappointingly the hobart website doesn't make mention of the danger if you use these glasses by themselves.Am waiting a response from them.. EDIT:Apparently they're not meant for O/A welding .Yet their own website states nothing regarding this & that goes for re-sellers on Amazon & Ebay

Works
The glasses work perfectly when doing acetylene torch work, and the padded eye pads are a plus, unfortunately the frame on these safety glasses is cheap and you have to be gentle with them since it feels like they will break if you remove them as you normally would metal framed safety glasses, the other drawback is the price. Overall if you do acetylene torch work then these safety glasses will help you a ton to see clearly. I would buy a few more only if they were made with metal frames

Fit Well and are Easy To Wear
These are light, comfortable, and stay put in a variety of head positions. The shade is just right for plasma cutting, limiting glare, while giving good vision between cuts. They fit reasonably close to the face which should offer a degree of protection from scattering debris but I always use them with a clear face shield to provide double-protection.

Nice and dark
Great glasses for truly sunny days. I’m a crane operator, so I often get stuck staring into the sky right by the sun, trying not wreck something because I can’t see. These works wonders! Not dark enough to look AT the sun, but all around it. Not so dark you can’t use them on slightly overcast days. Neat green tint that welders will be familiar with. Finally, they have foam around the insides of the lenses, so they are considered “spoggles” and can be worn on construction sites that require them!
