Not Like the Picture!

I wanted to be happy with this purchase and had high hopes but it came broken and misshapen on the sides and was very dull on color unlike the bright pink I thought it would be with smooth sides. This was supposed to be a gift for my mom but it doesn’t look in good enough shape like the picture made it out to look. Very disappointed. ——- After requesting a replacement, I was very happy to be told that I didn’t even need to send the item back and I would receive my new product in a few days time. The new salt heart was in much better condition and actually resembled the product selling pictures. Since we’re happier with the product I’m giving 4 stars instead of 2!

Beautiful

Simply gorgeous. This is the cylinder shape. Holds a tealight size candle. Gives a beautiful glow. These hold up well if you take care of them. Avoid getting them wet. Put a plate or coaster under to avoid the salt damaging your table. This one in the photo is sitting on a ceramic time. Not in the photo, but I have one of the "apple" shapes that I bought in 2014 and it still looks great (posting this in 2022). Highly recommend!

Understand...NO two are alike!!...I own over a dozen and given away that number I mount on Dollar Tree candle holders as presents. I am a machinist so none of your dilemmas affect me. I use a 1-5/8 Forchner bit to deepen the holes and use the leftover salt in Dollar Tree shakers (yes, it's edible and DAMN expensive!) It will take awhile with your Black and Decker drill, but I do it on a lathe or mill in minutes. It looks SO much better with a deep hole as only half of the crystal shows the light from the factory drilling. You can darken the light ones with a quick dip in a food color bath. I don't see problems y'all do, I see solutions. Also, the bases are not flat or horizontal with the top. Try 60-80 grit abrasive paper if you'd like to mount them. I bead blast Dollar Tree glass holders to frost them, but then I'm a machinist and NOT a computer nerd.

the BEST candle holder I've ever used!!

We LOVE this candle holder and air purifyer. I bought two, one for my son and myself. He has allergies and wakes up on winter mornings with nose bleeds and dry nasal passages. I have also been having problems with a dry nose and couldn't even blow my nose the day I received the candle holder. I put a tealight candle I bought from WalMart in the carved hole, and it fit perfectly. It glowed beautifully. Within two hours of having the lit candle next to my bed, I was able to blow my nose!! My son woke up the next morning for the first time in over a month without a nosebleed. Now, others at work wants me to order them one so they can breathe. I plan to order one to put on my desk. And they are salty to the taste!! Plus no side effects from drugs. I am definitely letting my son'[s doctor know next time we visit her. The candle holders seem very safe too. No flame is exposed. I am very pleased with this purchase.

I like it!!

With all the debate about whether or not the negative ion output from these candles/lamps is enough to do any good, you still cannot go wrong with this little candle holder. Having it lit makes for a serene and pretty room, especially in the evenings. And just a few more negative ions certainly can't hurt! I light mine every afternoon when my husband is due home to set a relaxing atmosphere for dinner. On grey and rainy days, it gives the room a lovely, warm glow, chasing away that dreary feeling. If you want the best results possible, stick with non paraffin tea lights. Good Lights seem to last longest, but the bees wax ones are quite nice, too. I avoid scorching the insides while lighting my tea light by lighting it first and dropping it in as gently as I can. I have only had the flame go out once in many times of doing this. Pay attention to the advice to snip wicks to a quarter inch for best results.

Not as symmetrical as pictured. Purchased to experiment with.

I have not tried using a tea light in these. The drilled opening seems small. However, I have not planned to use a candle in these. I want to put one or more in my infrared sauna. I am thinking the heat from the sauna will be warm enough to activate the salt benefits. Maybe it will freshen the air in my sauna. I am also considering adding a drop or two of essential oil to the candle well to see if that will enhance the ambiance of my sauna.

i saw this on etsy, someone was selling this so overpriced. came on amazon and the price was so much better and it looked even cuter! the quality is amazing and i’m definitely excited to add this in my room!

Just beautiful!

I bought two of these for myself as a remembrance of our lost granddaughter. It is sweet and perfect in everyway. The two hearts vary slightly but are the same pink (soft watery coral is how I’d describe the color). Fits a small votive candle and if there are any discolorations that are from food or drink, you can just file them off. Hope this was helpful.

It's real and it's spectacular!

For the fantastic price point, I wasn't expecting real Himalayan salt, but since I wanted it for decorative purposes, I didn't mind. I can confirm it is real Himalayan salt, and it comes with supportive paperwork and care instructions. I am pleasantly surprised with what I got for the price! I will be buying more of these.

Just Ok ... not ... wow its nice!

Baught as a gift . Came in a white box with no print . After buying online i saw some alot better looking ones at the local pharmacy for basicly the same price . Ok if you want this exact model but quite simple and not that Wow. Like othes said candles from dollar store need to be cut on the edge to fit . Not that much of a problem but hole could be a little bigger

You get what you pay for. After reading the reviews I decided to take a chance. They arrived today. I believe these votive holders are seconds... only because the holes drilled into them are not quite centered. One out of the three was close. They have a lot more impurities in them than the store bought one I already had but that makes them unique. I like the fact that they are all different sizes/shapes as it makes a nice arrangement. The votive candles fit quite nicely in the holes and the price is very good. They look nice when lit even if the holes are lopsided. Like someone said... its a hunk of salt! One thing that could be improved on is the packaging. Instead of a box with them wrapped only in a bag it might be better if they were wrapped in bubble wrap to keep them from banging together in the box. I can see why some get damaged in transit.

doesnt look like the picure

it is a very pale color and sort of see through. i expected it to be much more of a deeper orange but its more like a pale apricot. and melts right away with the heat of your hands, as it is a salt crystal. so dont hold it too much !
