The only accurate parts of the description are that it is made of plastic, and it does say "Beware of Dog." It is not red. It is a maroon color. Still good color contrast against the white lettering, but not the high visibility color advertised. It does have mounting holes -- sort of. Strangely, the holes are scored but not punched through, and only on the top, not on the bottom. Also, not in the corners where they belong, but about 3 inches in from the sides. In other words, you'll not only have to punch out the screw holes, you'll have to drill two more. And then, unless you drill all four holes, the top corners will curl instead of being secured. And, yes, the alleged manufacturer (one supposes this is the first sign the "Hillman Group" has made, and that they'll soon learn by their mistakes) has slathered their name and the unattractive UPC bar code on the front, instead of on the back where it belongs, if at all. Mine doesn't have a sticker for the UPC, so I can't even try to remove it with solvent. Nope, it's printed right on the plastic with the same maroon ink. It's larger than I expected, it does say "Beware of Dog." But this is classic deceptive trade practices. Sigh. And now, three of the four corners have snapped off at the screw holes, leaving the sign dangling sideways by the remaining anchor. At the local MegaMart today, I found a METAL sign for about a bean and a half. That's right, for the price of one of these, you can get four metal signs with adequate color contrast. Caveat Emptor -- Let the Buyer Beware. In this case, Beware of Dog doesn't refer to a canine, but to this dog of a product. Beware. Don't buy it.
