Very waterproof

Perfect for wearing at an outdoor event in the rain. Kept me dry. I also wore a waterproof ball cap under the hood to add a bill to the hood. Awkward pockets, but I didn’t need them. I was looking for something to keep my upper body dry and this did it.

Best rain jacket ever!

I decided to try this rain jacket as I had been very pleased with my Helly Hansen zip front fleece. I was so pleasantly surprised to find that it is the perfectly designed rain jacket. I needed it for my morning walks as it is too difficult to carry an umbrella. The medium was a perfect fit. There is plenty of room for a heavy sweater, fleece or jacket underneath. ( I am 5'3'' and 125 lbs) The pockets are roomy and designed so that water cannot enter. The sleeves are extra long so that your hands or gloves stay dry. The hood works well with an extra overhang and easily adjusted strings to tighten the hood around your head. The coat has a sturdy zipper as well as snaps, whichever is your preference. The fabric feels soft and supple instead of stiff as I thought it might be. I love the yellow color which is so visible on dark mornings. My hope is restored to find a product where thought was put into design and function! I highly recommend this totally waterproof coat! I love it!

Everything I hoped for

I really was not expecting this jacket to fit but it does, perfectly. I’m a very round and thick petite medium in tops. I wear a medium in Amazon’s puffy jackets. It all depends on the brand. I was most concerned about sleeve length but I snapped the wrists on the tightest setting and the length was perfect without a bunch of excess material above. I’m 5’2”, 130 lbs, 36C and an 8P in jeans. Hope that helps. It is made very well. The pockets are deep enough and cut enough on the slant to be usable. It looks like there are inside pockets but there aren’t so don’t go dropping stuff in there. I like that there is a lining instead of just rain material. If you’re looking for a plain, serviceable raincoat, take a chance on this one. Wanted to add that the jacket is very light, not bulky, and hangs well. It was cold and rainy this morning so I popped on my Amazon essentials puffy jacket and then put the rain jacket on over it. Perfect dog walk!

Actually waterproof

I've gone thru 3 "waterproof" rain jackets that were advertised as waterproof, that have soaked me right thru - I almost tossed them while traveling thru Ireland and Germany. This is the best rain jacket - I bought a medium, navy, 5'5", 150 lbs., and it fits so nicely. The material is rubbery, but really soft and smooth, great lining that doesn't stick to you, light, not stiff and will be going with me to England in a few months. Finally - an as-advertised product! Just get it.

Horse farm approved

I work on a horse farm in all weather so I was looking for something waterproof, sturdy and comfortable. This fit the bill. It’s stretchy so it moves with you, keeps you dry in a downpour and wipes clean with a towel. Lightweight so when it’s warm out I wear a tank top underneath, when it’s colder there’s plenty of room to fit a sweatshirt. Only negative on this product are the snaps on the wrists don’t stay snapped but not a deal breaker.

Great jacket and fully waterproof

I live in Western WA State, where it rains a LOT. I walk every morning. I wanted to buy a new waterproof jacket - I tried one from another manufacturer that was three times the price of this one, which I returned because it was too light-weight and ran small. I love my new Helly Hansen jacket - I paid about $89 at the beginning of December, 2020 - I see they've raised their price. Great features: (1) Fully waterproof - it really does the job! (2) Has reasonably big cargo pockets in the front - big enough to hold my 24 oz Contigo water bottle; (3) Has a bit of weight to it, which is helpful on cold, windy mornings; (4) Runs big enough that I can wear a fleece jacket underneath; (5) The hood keeps my glasses dry; and (6) Snaps on the end of sleeves are helpful, and pockets/zipper are fully protected. Detriments (reasons I gave this 4 stars instead of 5): (1) No side pockets for hands; (2) Cargo pockets should be a bit bigger/roomier; (3) Color choices are not great (I bought the dark blue, which is ok); and (4) The zipper is a one-way zipper; I'd prefer a two-way zipper.

Brilliant!

You know us Brits just LOVE talking about the weather, especially moaning when it rains "all the time" ???? Well.. once you own one of these amazingly waterproof, stylish, lightweight coats you'll be so glad to see those storm clouds! To say I'm delighted is an absolute understatement. It's exactly as described in terms of waterproofing and is stylish and lightweight but still smart. The hood is a brilliant fit and is very snug once you do up the poppers. I honestly can't wait to go for a walk in the rain, although I'll still wear it regularly as a lightweight coat. I bought size M which is perfect for me at 5'5" and approx 9.5st. The coat reaches a couple of inches from my knees ???? and it's roomy enough for a fleece or layering underneath.

A good quality coat It is a good quality coat which is smart and comfortable It is a little cold so I ordered up a size to wear a jumper under for winter Over all nice I also waited until it was half price to purchase - not sure it’s is worth £120

Helly Hansen - poor quality

I love Helly Hansen make, but, was disappointed with this - I went to tighten the cord around the hood and it snapped, I would not expect this from this make and it was not cheap. I had to repair it myself. Otherwise apart from no zipped area for phone or keys it is a good waterproof jacket
