All around great rain coat
I got this to replace an older rain coat from the same brand that served its purpose well (purchased more than 20 years ago). These Helly Hansen coats aren't dirt cheap, but they're hardly super expensive either. I think they have a great quality to price ratio. They are great values. They repel water better than most. They are comfortable. They aren't super breathable, but that's the cost of having something that repels water extremely well. I've used Helly Hansen products in conditions from light drizzle or no rain at all to layering for blizzards, boats in a storm, and Florida hurricanes. These hold up as well as products many times more expensive. This particular rain coat is no different. It's a good price but works extremely well. Just keep in mind that this is a thin rain coat, so if it's cold, layer or get a thicker rain/snow coat. I highly recommend Helly Hansen apparel in general & I highly recommend this product in particular.

The pockets. Why? ☹️
This jacket is amazing in ALMOST every way. Fit is amazing. Construction is amazing. Quality jacket. But the pockets are horizontal and open from the top. When you’re standing or walking in the rain, you want to keep your hands dry by sliding them into vertical pockets, on the sides. These pockets open from the top. Water runs in. And it’s an awkward position to keep your hands. Is that not-picky? Yep. But it rains a lot where I live.

Excellent!
My husband really loves this new rain jacket. It is light and well made. This one is for all the Spring showers. So it is not hot or uncomfortable when it gets warm as it rains.

Not Rain Proof
The jacket is good looking and comfortable, but if you plan to spend a couple hours in pouring rain, then don't expect to be 100% dry. I would say this jacket is maybe 90% rainproof. I was watching my kids soccer games in a heavy rain, not using an umbrella because I was proud of my good looking HH yellow coat. Hood up, and zipped up tight, the weather exposure started. After about 30 minutes of heavy rain, I realized I needed to remove my phone from coat pocket because the wetness was starting to compromise the pocket. Not terribly, but enough that I didn't want to risk my phone in there, so I moved it to a pocket of my better rain proofed pants. After about 2 hours watching soccer in the heavy rain, I remained comfortable and warm with my underlying layers, but in the end fair amount of moisture had seeped into the jacket material. It took about 2 days of the jacket hanging in my garage near a heater to get it fully dry again. The disappointment is that I really like the HH brand, but my cheaper and more plasticy yellow rain jacket had provided the 100% water proofing that I expected from this very nice HH yellow rain jacket. If you are looking for a thin rain jacket that provides pretty water resistance as an exterior shell for over your other layers, then this is a good jacket, but if you want a 100% rain proof jacket, then keep looking.

Breathes better than expected!
I've had other raincoats that made me sweat more than I would have gotten rained on... but, this one breathes well enough that I can work a little without smothering in my own sweat. Surprising!

Great rain coat, hood not so much
The rain coat will keep you dry in the heaviest downpour. I like the feel of the material; it's somewhat heavy, but that gives it a solid feeling. The hood is plenty large enough, but lacks an adjustment to keep it up and off your face.

Questionable quality
The coat looks good and feels comfortable, but within a few weeks, I already lost one of the snaps on a pocket. Seems like poor manufacturing quality.

Excellent rainwear
This is a superb rain jacket and a steal at the price. It has great fabric and is well constructed. I have worn it over a dozen times so far in this cold, rainy spring and it has exceeded expectations.

Keeps me Dry
I’m a sea plane pilot in the Maldives and have tried many rain jackets throughout the years and this is by far the best keeps me completely dry in the monsoon rain and is quite comfortable too.

So far, so good
First impressions - good fit, was wondering whether to buy L or maybe XL, have to say the L is fine. It is pretty long and comes down about half the length of my thighs (long enough to cover trouser pockets and so keep anything in a pocket dry). There is a thin lining inside but its not a winter coat. You'll need to layer up in a cold day but the L is big enough to accommodate that. It is a pretty basic coat, no inside pockets, only a single popper to tighten up the cuffs or secure the flaps over the two front pockets. I would not put anything in the pockets that you won't mind losing. Full length zip covered by a storm flap with more poppers. There is an opening on the back, a vent. Waterproof so far. Not tested in prolonged rain so will reserve judgement on that. Doesn't claim to be breathable material which suits me. Being waterproof is more important. Will probably get pretty warm if walking for an extended period. Like the dark / navy blue colour but colour wasn't a major factor. Came with a square patch of matching material to use for any repairs if needed. Happy so far, hopefully that will continue.

Perfect raincoat
Beautiful & high quality raincoat. Looked around for a long time to find a yellow raincoat for men, and this is probably the best. Looks great coupled with navy colors.
