Great Toy but only for gentle chewers

Pretty great little toy for sub-$10! The quacking is a nice touch, sounds like a duck call, and the toy itself is soft. My dog loves her duck and she shakes it in her mouth, throws in up in the air, even gentle tugging is okay. It will rip if you try hard enough though. The first green duck I bought got grimy and the quacker wore out after almost a year, so I bought two more - one for my dog and the other for my friend's. My dog still has hers, almost like new except for dirt/grime, but my friend's dog literally destroyed her toy in under two minutes. She was able to rip and tear the outer "fur" apart and then get at the stuffing and quacker. If you know you have a dog more like this, find a more durable toy. Buying this will simply be a waste of money.

Subtle quack sound

The sound this makes is a nice subtle quack sound. The sound effect isn’t as abrasive sounding as some dog toys, which I appreciate. It’s also a little less easy to get it to make the sound so while the dog plays with it, there isn’t a constant quack sound. Only complaint is our dog was able to break the quacking mechanic somehow only after a month. But will likely be getting another at some point once the rest of the toy gets more worn out.

Very satisfied!!

My dog loves squeak toys but she is an aggressive chewer so they normally don’t last long. This one has lasted longer than any other toy I have bought.

Nice duck but doesn’t squeak

This duck looks pretty sturdy so I like that. My dog loves ducks. But the squeaker doesn’t work so that’s disappointing to her. Otherwise, I think it is good for the price and my dog is playing with it.

We’ve owned three Akitas and four Shibas and everyone of our dogs LOVED these ducks!

These are a favorite toy for every dog we’ve ever owned. The problem is that they love Ducky so much that they almost immediately rip out the honker and eviscerate Ducky’s body. We have quite a collection of dead Ducky’s that are still much loved and used for tug of war, fetch, and refilling. I don’t think there is a way to make these more durable, so we’ll continue to spend money for the hour of sheer happiness our pups have will murdering a new Ducky. And at Christmas, we sent two Duckys to our grand pups who carried on the tradition…

My husky loves these so much!

These AREN'T a heavy-duty plush toy, they're not going to hold up to the strongest chewers. We'll get that out of the way. That's not their purpose. My husky is the type who LOVES to destroy plush toys, but does so methodically - not wildly, but taking his time to dissect pieces and remove ALL the stuffing. He gets so happy on New Duck Day so I set up a subscribe & save. Now he gets surprised with a new duck every couple months.

Concerned about its durability

This was a sweet toy and lasted for a while but the problem was my puppy managed to chew it apart and get the beeper out and was sucking on it...which horrified me because pups can swallow anything. Of course when she managed to get the squeaker out the whole duck was a hot mess. Quack Quack went promptly into the trash. But it was good while it lasted!

Dog LOVED it for the single day it lasted. I was going to return it when the honker broke in first ten minutes but then my dog enjoyed ripping it apart so much I figure it was just an inexpensive lesson to NOT PURCHASE HARTZ TOYS again.

In the garbage it goes

I never write bad reviews, but this one is well warranted. I received this dog toy at 2:15pm and it is now 2:32pm and the toy has been completely ripped apart. A dog toy generally lasts my lab a few weeks as she is not an avid or rough chewer. And what’s worse, the plastic pieces inside are small enough for a dog to choke on if they’re not paying attention. This toy is going directly in the garbage.

I just received two of the plush duck toys. It was good that they were different colors. hat is as far as I can go with the product. Neither of the made any "duck call" or for that matter any noise at all. The local pet store has a similar one for almost the same price. If you are looking for this item please don't waste your time on this. I am very disappointed in the item.

Not enough quack time...

As soon as I took it out of the box i could feel it’s construction would not hold up for long. I predicted the quicker would be broken in three minutes and the entire duck would fall apart within 17 minutes but it last almost a full hour. My dogs really enjoyed that hour. Can you put a price tag on that happiness? I guess I am hoping for at least three hours happiness when I spend that on a dog toy. My two dogs are medium to medium/large but they took turns and didn’t tug on it, it was just easy for them to break apart.

Great Durable Chew Toy for All Dogs

At almost 14 inches long this Duck chew toy is suitable for all dogs big and small. We bought this toy for our cockapoo puppy when she was just 3 months old. She destroyed the squeaker after three months so we purchased another one. Our puppy is now 8 months old and she's managed to destroy another squeaker so it's time to buy another duck again. These duck chewy's are tough and durable and good for dogs of all ages. Highly recommend - repeat buyer
