Read the fine print. Dimensions are backwards

After a long and frustrating search through a product listing that was totally useless as it did not let me filter for "Square" or for "Width" and having to scroll through pages and pages of unrelated products (dog beds?) even though I had "square u bolts" in the search box, I selected what I thought was a 3" wide square U Bolt. Hardware Essentials 320892 Square U-Bolt-5/16-18 x 3" x 2", Zinc It arrived and, of course was 2" wide (ok, it was square) by 3" long U Bolt. Must have been a Chinese thing (?) . Anyway very frustrating since no one in this area or on-line (Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, Tractor Supply) seem to carry SQUARE U Bolts anymore or if they do they are either out of stock or have only one or two sizes -- and yep, obviously not the size I needed. I know, I wasted three days trying to find them before caving in and searching Amazon. They seem to be cutting low volume items (bean counters and greed after large margin items versus being what used to be go-to places for everyday needs) which drives the customer to Amazon and the like and it creates a reinforcing feedback loop. No wonder they are struggling. Was it Woolworth who said "It is easier to get $1 from a million people than a million dollars from one person" ...? Wake up guys!... but I digress... Am returning the Items, which, on a positive note, seems to be a well sorted process never mind the cost in time and money lost and the probability they will wind up in some Gaylord in a warehouse or scrapped. Why is the Amazon product list display so LAME for a multi-billion dollar company with all the hooraa around automation??

They work great

I got a luggage cart for my Nap sack and duffle bag that I use as my Go Bags but it wouldn't stand up when I strapped them on it so I got two shelf brackets and used the U-bolts to attach them to the handles of the luggage cart, it worked great just got two cap nuts for the ends of the U-bolts and it all looks great.

As described but one question was wrong

I read the Q&A's and someone asked about the size. The answer said they were 2 1/4 " on center. That suited my intended use perfectly, BUT mine isn't that big. It measures 2 1/6" on center. Pretty much what is advertised, so beware of that. Otherwise, can't beat the value, exactly as described. Just have to modify my intended use a bit but it's what I need.

They are sold as a box of 5, not individually

Web site does not say they are sold as a box of 5 bolts per box. I needed 3 bolts not three boxes of 5 each. (15). The bolts worked as expected.

Very strong and get the job done

Used the square U bolts to fabricate and install a custom steel bracket onto the ROPS on my tractor. The U bolts are very strong and got the job done without any issue. Will purchase more for other projects so I don’t drill holes into the piece of safety equipment.

I really liked this u bolt but the big washer it came with was a bit thin. That's it
