Brilliant for making Flax Oil for Budwig Museli
The media could not be loaded. I bought this machine as part of the Budwig Protocol for cancer, as my Dad is visiting and he's on the special Quark/Flax oil "museli" and any bottled flax oil is basically rancid before you open the bottle. When I opened the box and read the manual I was ready to return the whole thing without even turning it on. Let's just say that the manual is pathetic. But curiosity got the best of me and I plugged the machine in, warmed it up for 5 minutes and threw in one cup of refrigerated flax seeds just to see what happened. It worked great! The attached video is from that very first time I used it. I had actually tried to run flax seeds through my champion juicer with the "nut-butter" attachment and it didn't make anything except an explosion of flax seeds in every imaginable direction. But this HAPPYBUY OIL PRESS MACHINE COMMERCIAL GRADE thing works marvelously! Also, it was a breeze to clean up, as I just used the included oven mitt to grab the steel cylinder and spiral thing inside it and just put it in a bowl of water in the sink instead of worrying about cleaning it up right away. Clean up 3 hours later when I got around to it was no big deal. I checked to see the temperature of the flax oil as it came out of the press and it was room temperature, even though the cylinder and spiral thing inside it are hot to the touch, the seeds pass through so fast they don't have time to warm up. Anyway, there's no special written instructions for flax seed pressing (unlike what is promised in the description) but it's easy to figure it out on your own anyway. I can't believe how close I came to mailing it back, and now my whole family feels like it's a life saver for my Dad who has cancer. Also, the fresh oil that comes out of this machine is similar on first taste to the $21 /bottle glass jars of flax oil, but it has no bitter aftertaste like the one from the store does and also no "scratchy" sensation in the back of your throat after eating the Budwig Museli. OK, just thought it was my moral obligation to share that this amazing machine actually works, is easy to use (and clean) and also I found that 2 cups of flax seeds made exactly 1/2 cup of flax oil. (and the weird casings that are left over are going to be fish food) We make it fresh every day or it goes rancid - even if you store it in a dark glass jar. It's not as noisy as a blender and it's a similar size to the champion juicer. I think making flax oil with this machine is about equivalent to making a cup of carrot juice with the champion juicer (in case you were wondering how much work it is), but the clean-up is much easier.

Lack of product booklet with contact information
This is not an inexpensive machine. When the machine arrived, it had an instruction booklet which was just a few printed pages stapled together that were ripped in the middle. The machine worked wonderfully in the beginning. I used it to press Sesame seeds, Sunflower seeds, Flax seeds and Peanuts. The oil extraction was good (not excellent) and cleaning was easy. Overtime, the auger (stainless steel) got damaged as it was split along the threads. This reduced the efficiency of extraction. I wanted to contact customer support to request a replacement auger. However, there is no information on how to contact the customer service either at Amazon seller page or the instruction booklet or the machine. This is not a sign of a serious business. Buyer beware of this issue.

Came fast, but very difficult to understand instructions and limited use for olives I believe.
I actually have not used the press yet, but want to give feedback on the instructions for use and to clarify some things for other shoppers. This press says specifically that it can press olives. I assumed that meant the pit/nut as well which is traditional in olive pressing because a lot of the oil is in the nut. However, in reading the instructions, I see that the nut/pit must be thrown out first. My second comment goes back to the instructions. The verb tenses and grammar are so strange, that one has to guess at the what the instructions are trying to say. Lastly, on a more positive note, the machine came very quickly and appears to be well made... all stainless steel. Once I have used the machine, I will come and update my review.

Well worth the money
I bought this based on another review. When I received the product, I was skeptical because it did not come with any instructions that seemed useful. But like the other reviewer, I decided to try it. Wow! is all I can say. I threw in one cup of flaxseeds. Almost immediately, it was producing oil. I gained 1/4 cup of oil from 1 cup of flaxseeds. This machine is amazing. I can only say, it was worth the money. I have only done flaxseeds since that is the reason I bought it. I don't know how it does with other things. But I am extremely happy to have bought it. I usually don't leave reviews unless I am impressed with the product.

It works
Its ok. It makes some oil but the seed must be SUPER dry or it will create a butter substance. Also even with the strainer the oil is cloudy. Hemp seeds didn't work for me. I got the most for my buck with pumpkin seeds. Definitely cant walk away. The seeds often lift the area holding the seeds and they slip out. A lot of readjusting. For the price I would love to set it and forget it lol. Not an option here.

Nice quality
This oil press is of nice quality. I have so far made peanut oil and pumpkin seed oil. Both went through without a hitch. The owners manual is the only thing I have to complain about. It isn't very good and gives you little information. As far as the machine goes it does a good job and I intend to use it quite a lot in the future. I have canola planted now for a Spring harvest and am exited to see how that oil turns out.
