Memorable card for those who can never choose between beer and coffee.

My husband loves craft beers. He regularly visits our local beer distributor to pick up cans of local breweries newest brews. He also jokes he needs to have coffee pumped into his veins straight from an IV. He's a big fan of both beer or coffee. I got this card for him to give him on Father's day from his actual favorites... our daughters. I really like that is pops up for display. We don't typically give cards to each other because we both have the thought of "what do you do with the card after the occasion?" stick it in a drawer to forget about until you clean out that drawer and then throw it away or just throw it away immediately. Both options ultimately causes more waste (unless you recycle). With this card it can be displayed on shelf/desk/table, etc... and becomes a funny little piece of decor. I'm sure my husband is going to get a big kick out of this card on Father's day and I'll probably be looking at it regularly for the foreseeable future because I know he's going to want to display this one for some time. This is a clever and funny card that any recipient would love. Just note if you mail it it does require extra posted because of the added weight.

Impressive Boozy Cocktail in a Card Pop-Up Greeting. Hallmark Quality, Shoebox Humor

This review is for the HALLMARK Paper Wonder Shoebox Pop-Up Card (Bloody Mary). I received a free taxable sample of this pop-up card to review in my search for fun greeting cards. The pop-up card and matching American tomato red envelope arrived in decorated cardboard top loader with Hallmark Paper Wonder and Shoebox branding. In its folded state, the card measures about 3 3/4" across at the base/carton and 8" from the bottom of the base to the leafy vegetable tips. Pushing up on the base insert unfolds the card into its pop-up state with an oval base (long diameter 3 1/2", short diameter 3 1/4") and a new vertical height of 9". Two tabs can be folded down (not ripped away) from the bottom of the base to lock the pop-up in place. The card is constructed of cardstock and has a weight of 15 grams. Nitpicky note: It takes a little finessing to get the circular section right below the skewers and vegetables to stay flat as the pop-up tends to overextend such that the circular section tents up in the middle. The design of this card centers around five pop-up matte cardstock sections that feature a variety of skewered items and vegetables including olives, celery, bacon, sausages, a carrot, chili peppers, a deep-fried shrimp, a pickle, skewered meat, and a jalapeno pepper. The front and back of the five sections are printed with the same image except for the foremost piece which displays a yellow celebratory pennant with the message "celebrate BIG!" on the front and is a blank yellow pennant on the reverse. The skewered items and vegetables are contained in a semi-gloss cardstock oval drinking glass filled with a visually realistic (boozy) tomato juice beverage. A small 1 5/8" x 2 1/8" lined space for a personal greeting and a lime wedge adorn the back of the glass. Although the greeting space is small, you could also just take a permanent marker and write all over the back section of the drinking glass without ruining the card or the overall effect. One of the things I like about this card is how showy and over-the-top the skewers and vegetables are. I also like that this pop-up looks realistic and can be viewed from pretty much all angles. The accompanying envelope is solid red with the Hallmark symbol embossed onto the flap and measures 8 1/4" x 5 3/4" with a weight of 9 grams. There is a standard thickness and feel to the envelope and the glue strip on the inside flap is uniformly present as an option to seal the envelope. I did have trouble fitting the folded Bloody Mary into the envelope at first until I bunched all the skewers and vegetables to one side of the glass, after which the card fit in quite easily. Overall, the HALLMARK Paper Wonder Shoebox pop-up greeting card is on par with the quality you'd expect from Hallmark and the playful humor you'd expect from Shoebox. I used this as a birthday card for a friend who enjoys cocktails (but not necessarily a Bloody Mary) and they enjoyed the card, saying that the card was interesting and different. I would recommend this as a good option for a fun celebratory greeting card that you can use with friends that enjoy cocktails, especially if they enjoy a good Bloody Mary.

Hilarious card, great quality!

I can't wait until Father's Day when I will give this card to my husband! It would be very hard to say whether he likes coffee or beer more, and the coffee and beer having the argument on the pop-up card are so cute! I love the high quality of this card, typical of this brand of course, and I like that the envelope would be solid enough to send it well if I were going to do that (not all pop-up card envelopes are well made!) This card is going to be a saver---I'm pretty sure it will be on our fridge display for years to come.

Pretty cool card

For the record, I have yet to give this to my buddy since his birthday is upcoming. However, we are both alcoholics (me probably more so than him) who also love coffee and need it to survive what we call 'life', so I figured this looked like a pretty cool card for his upcoming birthday. If I were to say anything 'negative' it would simply be that there isn't much room to write a message on the card but, I am not knocking any stars off for that since the card itself is pretty cool and I can certainly get a short little message inscribed on the card before I give it to him. Anyway, if you have someone you care about who loves both beer & coffee (and I hope you do because we are all wonderful) then this is a cool little card for them.

Give a card to remember

Bored of just sending the standard folding card? Well this pop up card is the perfect alternative. It’s super thick and high quality, and really easy to fold it up. It takes about two seconds and you really can’t mess it up, so don’t worry about grandma having a problem opening this. It comes with a nice envelope that gives you everything you need to send this off to a friend or family member. One thing I wanted to note, the envelope says “extra postage required” so expect two stamps to mail this hefty greeting card. It’s worth it though, anyone who gets a card like this is going to remember you.

Funny popup card!

I just couldn't resist this card! I love the pop-up cards to add a little something extra to your greeting. This funny little argument between the beer and coffee makes this such a versatile card. It will be great for Father's Day to give my dad. Great quality from a long time card company!

Happy Father's Day

A great card to celebrate Father's day. It is made of the high quality you would expect from hallmark company. The card is perfect for my father n law because he loves coffee and beer. It really is a great way to celebrate the great father n law he is. I am excited for him to see the pop up card because it is so different that he will really love the originality of it. I highly recommend this one!
