A good option for a growing kid.

These have adjustable elastic in the waistband to make sizing a little more flexible, so you can buy them a bit bigger, tighten them, then let them out as your child grows. The denim itself is also stretchy to accommodate a growing child. The fly is just a snap waistband with a fly that is sewn shut. This is okay since these pants actually function more like leggings than jeans and have lots of stretch.

relaxed fit, a little big

I ordered the ‘medium indigo’ jeans, which have a snap and zipper fly. They also have the adjustable waistband inside (elastic with button holes). My son is 42”, 37 lbs and wears 4s and 5s (depending on the brand and style) and this size 5 was big on him. The jeans are not slim fit, so the bagginess and extra length pretty much mean he needs to wait a year to wear them, even though I can get them to stay on by adjusting the waistband. Otherwise, they are quality and do well in the wash.

Perfect jeans for the little one

My 3 year old fits in these perfectly. I have always been a fan of Gymboree clothing. These pants are definitely well made at the seems and the style is up to date. The material is a bit stretchy which is important for an "on-the-go" toddler. He has room to grow into these and they will definitely hold up to rough and tumble wear. Happy Momma and Toddler.

A little big, good quality

If you have a husky child, you're in luck, these jeans are perfect. The quality is fantastic, nice sturdy material, shouldn't wear out too fast or shrink. If you have a lanky or petite child, I feel like they look sloppy. My petite 5 year old wears a 5T across the board, and these make him look like a little 90's kid with baggy too long jeans. They do have the stretchy adjustable waist bands thankfully, so they work and don't fall off but the waist looks really bunched up. The length is perfect.

Nice quality jeans, not that stretchy

These jeans are a nice quality, and should hold up to kids play. The fabric is durable, but not that stretchy. I'm hoping it softens up a bit with washing and wearing. The snap button (instead of a regular button) is easier for kids to use, although it does take some force to snap the button closed. The inner waistband has those adjustable buttoned loops, so this can grow with the child. These fit ok otherwise, and are comparable to other brands in the same size.

Relaxed fit. Runs a bit large. Adjustable waistband is a big plus

My 5 year old son is of average height and has slim build. He can still fit in most of his 5T jeans but they are getting short for him. I needed jeans that he could wear right now and in my previous experience with Gymboree their jeans were running a bit large, so I took a chance and ordered these in 5T. I’m very glad that I did that because they fit him well and are in fact even a bit long for him. With sneakers the extra length bunches up on top of the shoes, so it works well and I’m happy he will be able to wear these pants for quite a while. The stretchy in the back waistband is large for 5T jeans. Luckily for my slim boy there are interior elastic adjustment tabs to tighten the waistband as needed. The zipper and the snap button work smoothly. The workmanship is excellent. The fabric content is 79% cotton 19% recycled polyester 2% spandex. It is soft as far as denim goes and has light stretch. My son likes wearing these jeans and says they are comfortable.

Great jeans, runs just a little long.

This is a great pair of jeans for my toddler. I was worried at first because the description called it a drawstring closure but wasn’t showing a drawstring in the pictures. The string is actually on the inside of the waist and works great. My toddler is tall for his age but also really skinny for his age, so the drawstring was a must. It worked great though and the item fits him around his waist just fine, but they are a little bit on the long side. That being said, the jeans look great and can be worn with all kinds of different shirts/jackets, and they make my little man look super handsome. He usually doesn’t like anything other than sweat pants and he even approved of the jeans, saying they’re great and that he loves them. 5/5, would recommend to others. Really our only complaint is that they are a little on the long side.

Good quality, looks just like adult jeans

My son just turned 4. These are his first pair of real jeans, that look like adult jeans and have a regular button and zipper. He was very happy to get them and couldn't wait for me to wash them so he could try them on. They fit him perfectly and he said they were very comfortable. I'm not surprised since my son has always loved clothes from Gymboree. They are one of my favorite brands of clothes for children. The only disadvantage to these jeans is the price. They are actually more expensive that a comparable pair of adult jeans would be, and he probably won't have them for a long time before he outgrows them. But the quality is excellent and I would recommend these for anyone who is looking for a nice pair of jeans for their toddler.
