Comfortable to handle

Despite the reviews that complained of leather being stiff, I ordered the leash. Anyone that understands leather knows that when new it needs to be conditioned or broken in. Yes there are different grades of leather depending on where the cut came from the animal and this would determine longevity of the product. Upon initially using the leash out of the bag, there was a slight stiffness that was totally expected. With daily use multiple times a day over the last week, it is slowly becoming more and more supple. I have no issues with this leash and can see that it is reflected in its quality and craftmanship. Personally chose this due to the braid and brass rivet and trust that it will last longer than the stitched leash that it replaced. Love the 1" width vs the previous 5/8" leash as well.

Nice leash!

It’s a well made nice looking leash. I wish they made a longer model, I prefer 8-10 foot leashes but this one is great.

Great quality Leash

This is a very quality product. I wish they would have oiled it a little before they shipped it, but other than that, it's a great product. I got both my items from this seller in 2 days after it had shipped. Good stuff.

Nice looking leash...but...

The leash is beautiful in it's appearance. However, the clasp is not secure, if you grab anywhere near the clasp and touch it, it pops open and dog is free. I walk large dogs that pull at my local shelter and a large Dalmatian Mix, with all of his jumping around, somehow, hit the clasp and was running free, which is very dangerous as he could have left the property and into traffic. I was able to call him back with treats, thank God. Also, if your looking for soft leather, you won't find that in this leash.

First Class

This is a first class leather leash. Stylish, and very well made. It was pretty stiff when it arrived, but I've been rubbing it down with mutton grease, and the flexibility that i need is starting to come through. Well worth the price.
