Good product and great value.
Vuelta Corsa Crankset 50/34, 175mm This was a good purchase decision. I would buy it again. I ordered this to replace a Shimano RX100 53/39 alloy crankset with 20,760 miles of wear and tear that I installed on a Raleigh road bike in 1996. This has been running 8-speed Ultegra derailleurs and STI shifters. (The expression used to be that Campagnolo wears in while Shimano wears out – at least as far as Ultegra is concerned, this STI set-up is still going strong!) This new crankset is alloy, with steel chainrings. Replacement was straightforward with a minor height adjustment to the front derailleur and two links taken out of the chain. Pros: - Fits the same as the original. - Chainline is the same. - Rides and shifts well. - Great price. - Bottom bracket is Shimano, so the square taper on this new crankset appears to be JIS standard, not ISO as you’d expect with Vuelta, although the two standards may not be incompatible. Cons: - Relatively heavy at 841g vs the RX100 at 706g (total for both cranks, chainrings and bolts), but this is insignificant for me given the age and general weight of this classic 1994 Reynolds 501 double-butted steel framed bike. - Q Factor at about 153mm vs about 146mm with the RX100 is a bit of a jump. Note that this is with a 107mm bottom bracket axle length. (Wikipedia has a great summary of this “quack” factor.) Also note that the Schwinn indoor bikes at the club where I teach RPM have a Q of 170mm so maybe I'm being pedantic! - A small cosmetic gripe – the 34t is silver, while the rest of the unit is black - Another cosmetic gripe – the Vuelta Corsa logo shown on the crankarms on Amazon were not present; both crankarms are just plain black. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase for use on this particular training bike which really is too old to justify any sort of major expense. I’d thought about just buying replacement 130 BCD rings, but really wanted lower gearing at the best possible price. Given the steel rings, maybe I can get 50 years out of this crankset rather than just 25! Update 24 September 2021: I did buy a second one of these cranksets in May 2021 for an equally old Giant Kronos road bike, similarly replacing a very worn contemporary RX100 crankset. This second Vuelta is identical to the earlier one I bought, and just as good. Note that the chainrings in both cranksets run true, and the the slightly increased Q Factor means that the pedals are equally spaced from the bike's centreline, which presumably has to be better biomechanically than the old offset RX100 crankset. Sadly, soon after, the rear dropout broke at the chainstay junction of the old Raleigh. Glad I'd upgraded the Giant! A decision on whether or not to send the Raleigh frame to a builder for repair is pending. Meanwhile, the Giant, with this new crankset, is serving me well.

For the Money, a Bargain
The Vuelta crankset is sturdy. It’s amazingly inexpensive. It’s heavy, too, compared to more expansive , name brand cranksets, but that’s not an issue for cyclists who aren’t racing. Add in the weight of the rest of the bike and the cyclist and the difference between the Vuelta crankset and, say, a Shimano Ultegra crankset, and the difference, about a pound, is negligible. I’ve got my crankset on my backup bike. Aesthetically, I wish the inner chainring was black, instead of silver, to match the large chainring. Then again, the contrast sets this crankset apart from others.

The large cog is pressed steel.
I was disappointed to find that a magnet stuck to both cogs. Magnets do not react to any other cog I own, and I have quite a few. The large black cog looks like nothing more than pressed steel. This set weighs 816 grams, which is significantly more than a similar mid range crank set. It looks cheap and it is cheap. I was able to install it easily on my bike.

Inexpensive and not-too-bad.
A great price for a crank like this. It's definitely not a top-end, which I expected. It's hefty, but it does the trick on the ol' Trek bike.

Excellent Value for Replacement Cranks
I used these cranks to replace the stock cranks on my 2014 Trek 1.1 H2. These were a direct swap. I was quite happy to find these at the price offered. They are not the lightest or strongest cranks, but if you are anything less than a competitive cyclist then these will be fine. I received 50/34 combo which is what I was hoping to get. The product description was not clear at all. The satin finish on the crank arms in low budget and will get scuffed over time.

Great Value, lightweight
Lightweight , just as light as the compact 54,39 FSA it replaced ... I wanted a easier climbing combo and switch to this 50,34 and it works exactly as it should ... would buy again

Not as pictured
I ordered the Vuelta Corsa crankset but got a mis-manufactured crankset. Thinking it was a mistake I ordered another one and got another mis-manufactured crankset. If you look at the pictures of what I received, one can see there is no name brand (Vuelta Corsa) on the crank arm. But the biggest problem is the placement of the crank arm. The crank arm I received completely covers one of the chain ring bolts which makes it difficult to change the chain ring in the future. The seller’s picture shows none of the bolts under the crank arm. The product I received is poorly designed. I’m returning both of the cranksets I received.

Steel rings
Solid well made 2x crankset that should last for years. Heavy steel chainrings but easily replaceable.

Not good
Already wearing down after two rides, seems to be made of soft materials, also one or two of the teeth were very sharp when it arrived, you get what you pay for I guess.

excelente..

Good for the price
Light crankset. Perfect to restore and older bike. The tooth are very sharp, maybe not ideal choice for inexperimented rider. Great product for the price
