Worked well for diy roofing repair
I am not a professional roofer, I am just a regular guy who had the audacity to fix his own dormer leak. It's good to get out of your comfort zone if you understand you can definitely hurt yourself if you make a mistake! I read the directions and followed them exactly. I worked on my dormers for a whole weekend then a week after work, many hours on a steep pitch. The harness and rope worked as advertised, I was using it to hold my body weight as I worked in awkward positions. I did not have any slips or falls and I felt confident that I was doing the job in a safe way. Be sure to caulk your "anchor" holes after removing it at the end of the job. OR buy a different anchor that can be left in. Just an option. My wife said that the flame logo on the back of the harness was a sexy "tramp stamp" she's hilarioussss.

FIne product but delivered to the wrong address!!!
The product is fine. But it was delivered to the wrong address. House numbers are very visible on the mail box at the end of the driveway for my house as well as where it was delivered so should have been no issue in getting it to the right place!

Worked really well
Bought two as my brothers and I replaced the roof on my parents house. These were critical for that work and we couldn't have done it without these. They do grow slightly uncomfortable after many hours of use, but I think anything would. I expect if you use it everyday for a week it is something you get used to. This comes with everything you need - the anchor for the rope, the rope, the harness and also the most critical piece - the rope grab which keeps your harness connected to the rope. You can always easily move your rope grab up the main tether by pushing it up the rope, but you must use a double action motion on the rope grab in order to unlock it to move down on the rope - exactly what you want for roofing safety. Luckily there were no falls or close calls during the project, so I can't speak for all of the features but the rest of the items were as expected. Always inspect your belt for damage or fraying, and remember you should only use these kits for one fall. If you fall again in these it could be very painful or life threatening. They are only $100, less than a lot of people's copays. If you didn't fall and the rope and other items are not showing signs of wear, you can re-use this over and over again.

The item arrived undamaged in a 5 gallon bucket with a lid. All the contents inside were undamaged and functioned as it should. I added another home to our portfolio and the roof is a 8.5/12 pitch which I would normally climb without a harness but with the height and becoming a new father I took no chances and purchased this kit. I'm 6 ft 210 broad shoulders and the harness fits comfortably without issue. This is my first safety harness I've purchased so I cannot compare it to another brand but for the price value factor it is a great value for a pro or diyer.

I Like It
I've used it a couple of times cleaning gutters. Removing Christmas lights for customers. I can adjust as needed & it will hold the weight. Your not supposed to rely on letting it hold you while leaning off roof but it can. I've trimmed trees even while standing up on roof & reaching out to cut limbs. Not recommended...but I did & I felt completely safe. Follow the setup guide & mounting instructions & you will be safe from fall.

Purchased and Used it to work on the roof with 12-12 pitch roof. I had to paint sidings and the chimney on two story house. There is no other way to access the roof safely on such high pitched roof. Without this equipment It would not have been safe to work on the roof. Although, there is the first time where the anchor has to be installed which require driver/screw/and misc. tools, but after that initial setup, it is much safer with the harness. The kit comes with harness, the fall arrestor, the rope, and the anchor all within a plastic pail, and it is a good storage place for the gear. I left the anchor in place, but I am considering purchasing a permanent anchor to leave in its place. The anchor that comes with the kit is to be installed on the "2x beam". However, if you have a ridge vent, this anchor will not work properly without removing the ridge vent. In case of ridge vent, you would need a different type of anchor (D-type of permanent anchor or such). Overall a good product for the money. The unit is worthwhile investment, for high pitched roof.

Couldn't have been happier!
I rarely am moved to write a review. And usually the passion comes from finding displeasure in something. This Fall Protection Bucket far exceeded my expectations based on the price. I'm a rock climber and usually just rig something from climbing gear for projects, but this was a big roof project and I wanted to try the real deal. For less than the price of a skimpy climbing harness you get a nice sturdy length of rope with very burly and yet easy to use hardware. A very solid harness that, although it took me awhile to figure out how to make the one size fits most fit me, ended up quite comfortable. I felt safe and secure all day. Everything you need is in the box including the choice of nails or screws to attach the anchor! Only downside is I probably have 5-10 more days up on the roof to get that thing redone! At least I'll stay safe....

Great all in one safety harness kit with rope, brake, harness and anchor and storage bucket.
I used this kit for installing a number of roofs. It was perfect accept the safety harness needs a front D ring. This harness only has a dorsal D ring and a front ring would be far more comfortable shingling a roof than a dorsal ring. Yes, the front ring makes a fall more likely to brake your back, but for small roofing jobs for the average home DIY it is a must have. I have seen harnesses with front D rings and a good harness will have frontj, side and dorsal (back) D rings to hook on to. I was not using the harness for fall protection as my roofs are no more than 20 feet to the ground. I was using it to keep me from sliding down the roof when I am working.

Good Affordable, Well Made Fall Protection - Needs a longer Rope Grab Harness.
I needed this to use as fall protection for fixing the roof cap shingles on my 13/12 Pitch Roof. I felt very confident in the Body Harness and that helped relieve the anxiety of climbing such a steep roof. The Body Harness fit well but I hardly had any adjustment left when tightening the chest strap as I had it as narrow as it would go. I am average height and build(5'8"), but since this harness has to fit a wide range of Body types, if you are smaller than average build, it may be a little too loose if you aren't wearing anything else except for a Shirt and Pants. All parts are solid and OSHA approved. The only thing I would change is the Automatic Rope Grab Lanyard Length. It's almost impossible to attach the Body Harness D-Ring on the back to the Rope Grab Lanyard without another person helping you.
