Great Training Aid for young players
Most parents think that signing their kid up for ball and taking them to practice will be all they need to do. Coach's time is limited so the basic fundamentals in fielding skills can not be adequately addressed and most youth coaches really don't know more than the basic DDDs (Dreaded Dad Drills). This glove really helps reinforce two hand work and getting completely behind the ball in the down position to field correctly. This is something you can do at home with your son. We have worked with it indoors with a tennis ball and outside all the time with regular baseballs. You can never toss enough balls at your young player with this glove. Kids know how to throw the ball to first base from 3rd, SS, 2nd and come backers from the mound, where the errors occur is in basic fundamentals. Youth Coaches really don't use drills to clean up why the errors occur, this glove is one part of where you can begin to shore up your defense.

Quality All Leather Glove Built to Last and Works as Designed
This is a great deal! I ordered it with the intent of inspecting it before deciding if I was going to keep it or return it. Since MacGregor is not one of the major glove manufacturers I wasn't sure about the construction quality or the leather. First, this is an all leather glove. Palm and finger linings are also leather. Laces are leather and good quality. The glove also has just the right amount of padding to handle hard hit ground balls, but not so much that the player doesn't feel the ball. I can't speak to how well this glove holds up over the long term as I've only had it for a few days, but the construction and leather quality indicate it should last a long time as long as it is well taken care of. The wrist opening has a velcro adjustable strap for smaller hands. My son is 12 years old and has smaller hands and this glove fits him very well.

I wasn't sure if she'd genuinely like it or not
This training glove was a birthday gift for my daughter. I wasn't sure if she'd genuinely like it or not, since it is a "tool" and not a cool toy. WRONG! She loves it! It is actually really fun, and not "work", like I was afraid she would see it as. We used it with plastic training balls inside, and after I was sure that she wouldn't be accidentally jamming her throwing hand fingers, we moved outside with real softballs, and had a fun, and really helpful practice session. Great for ground balls, but surprisingly useful on regular tosses. She has (soon to be HAD) a habit of being a little slow getting the ball to her throwing hand. With a flat training mitt such as this, she doesn't have the option of being "late" with her throwing hand. No throwing hand in position = no catch. And it is truly FUN!! I highly recommend this!

Nice training aid
My son hates this thing because it’s frustrating and that’s how I knew it was working. Teaches soft hands and quick transfer when fielding grounders. Forces a player to use good fundamentals. Excellent addition to your training gear.

Fantastic product for players at any level
Fantastic product that's helpful for any level player. This product is good quality, stays flat, is much sturdier than some of the floppy gloves by other brands, has the right amount of cushion to it. My 11 year old got into a bad habit of putting his throwing hand over his head until the ball was in his glove. It took him a few minutes to get the hang of it but after a short time practicing with this glove his form looked like a professional as it gives instant feedback. I'm a very satisfied customer.

Good product for the money.
Just as described and a good product for the money. Unlike some of the higher end products that have a slight concave shape, this one is Truly flat. That said, with a little manual forming I did get a little shape into it. It does not have the thickness or rigitity of a model like Mizuno...but it is also $25 cheaper. Still has good padding and looks like it will. Last a few seasons. Last photo is the shape I managed to get.

Surprisingly good quality for a very reasonable price
Surprisingly good quality for a very reasonable price. I have owned many gloves from the top glove brands (Rawling, Mizuno, Wilson, etc), and while this is obviously not as nice, I feel like the leather is decent quality. Good amount of glove padding too. I think it is just enough to help people who are scared of getting hurt to feel comfortable, but not so much that you have no feel for the ball. Looking forward to seeing how it holds up to a few outdoor practice sessions.
