Extreme cold weather gloves
When you need a pair of gloves to keep your hands warm when it is extra cold out, you just found them. Not really necessary when there is just a "Chill" in the air, but when it's really cold these will keep your hands warm for sure. Not overly bulky either.

A Cold Reception:
Lets break it down further: Delivery: Three Stars. The package delivery date was moved back once and took a few days longer than i was originally expecting. The package condition upon arrival was excellent. The packaging was adequate, which doesn't take much for gloves. Product value: Three Stars. Average. The cost matches the product and is about the same wherever you buy them. Durability and Craftsmanship: Three to Four Stars. Wool is tough and warm. There is no reinforcement anywhere on the glove, so they're light duty. The simplicity of design is nice. Product Expectation: Zero Stars. Here's where the problem occurs. The description says "Three Layer Ragg Glove". The gloves i received are, in fact, one layer. As the attached pictures should illustrate, the glove does not have multiple layers. The white at the bottom is cosmetic only and misleading. Fox River does make a multiple layer glove, and maybe some people receive them. The ones i have are labeled "Heavy Weight" and do not have any lining. Either the advertising is false or they sent the wrong gloves. I am returning them either way, they are not what i wanted or was expecting. Size and Comfort: Four stars. The size is ok. The attached pics have the measurements for a size 'small' glove. These gloves stretch nicely and are comfortable but a little itchy (once again, they would be fine with the presence of a lining). Many reviews have reported inappropriate sizing but these gloves were correct. Perhaps there is a quality control issue with the company which could account for the product inconsistency, at least on the part of what gets shipped to who. I would recommend contacting the company beforehand to verify your purchase and double checking the size tag if it does not seem to be the right size. Warmth: Two Stars. Good for keeping a barrier between you and something you need to handle, bad for temps under 35 degrees Fahrenheit or any wind. They do not block wind. Perhaps the gloves which are actually three layers do a superior job.

Very nice but run small.
These are great gloves, however, they run small. I looked up standard glove sizing, and based on my hand size, my wife should have worn a medium and I was in between medium and large. So, I ordered a medium for my wife and a large for myself. The medium was way too small for me, and also too small for my wife. The large fits my wife ok, but is a little tight on me. Had I been able to get an extra large, I would have done so, but it seems large is the biggest available for this model glove. I'll have to make due, as I didn't see anything I liked better in this price range and style. I returned the medium and got a second pair of large. The feel and finish is great - nice soft interior lining and seems like they will be very warm. Other than the slight size issue, the fit is very good.

Great quality, very basic WARM gloves
These are very basic, warm, good quality gloves. I have several different pair of Fox River gloves and I really like them all. They are sized a bit large, and these "large" gloves fit my extra large hands very well. Some people complain that they are sized too large, but I think that's because they have more material than most gloves that go inside your sleeve toward your arm. I think that's by design; you won't accidentally pull your coat sleeve up too far and expose your arm to the cold. These are quite thick and also somewhat slippery, and it's not very easy to pick up small objects or even grip certain things (like a slick steering wheel) with them. If you expect to be able to manipulate your phone with these, then they aren't the gloves for you. However if you want a very good quality, basic, WARM pair of gloves, these are exactly what you need. I love mine.

Excellent for warmth
I have used these for sledding and shoveling snow. My hands are incredibly warm with these. The only downfalls are: Bulk, keep that in mind when choosing these depending upon need. Certainly not going to work with phones and tablets, but that was not my intended purpose. The were a little scratchy: the interior is soft but the exterior is a wool blend, so it is scratchy (I am allergic to wool I bought them knowing that they were a wool blend so I am not docking points for that.) The interior does a good job preventing the wool from coming into contact with my skin except for a little bit at my wrist. When outside in the very cold I will make that trade off.

A bit off on the sizing
These gloves are really great; warm, comfortable, easy to put on, and cover the wrists. I have 3 dogs that I walk very early in the morning, and need something that will keep my hands warm during the winter months. The only down side is that it is difficult to guess at the sizing. I bought a Large, thinking that would be good. (I wear a 7.5-8 ladies glove) Well, they were way too big, and I ended up giving them to my son. He loves them. I then ordered a medium, and they are still a bit too large. So, I am going to order a small, and hopefully these will do the trick. I believe if the sizing were listed on the page, it would make things somewhat easier for the ordering, so that's why the 4 Star review. If they'd of been a good fit right away, I'd of given a 5 star. Please try these gloves, because I know you won't be disappointed.

Warmest gloves ever
Had these a few years ago and lost them. Not able to find in any sporting goods stores. Warmest gloves around. You won't have great dextiraty but fingers, hands will be very warm even below 0. And with the longer area around wrists no cold spots. These beat any space age gloves.

Aha...Pull gloves up forearm to fit
I love Ragg Wool and chose these gloves because they looked really warm. I ordered the Medium and thought the size must have been wrong because they were massive. Then I realized they don't fit like most gloves, you actually have to pull them up your arm..and walla not only do they fit, but your forearm is covered. It takes a bit of getting used to. But, the gloves are warm and comfortable. I was looking for something to keep my hands warm when I shoveled the snow.

remember its wool not magic
wool is a great insulator but the only way wool will be "warm" is if it was still attached to the sheep ...gloves on and hands in pockets you will feel great at well below -20 because you must protect hands from wind ..you can still do stuff with your hands with these gloves but you have to warm your fingers after doing so ..the gloves are well made with nice long cuffs ...men get extra large ...love wool and I swear by it for winter
