You're paying for lots of extra parts....
This kit is designed to fit three different Bosch table saws, so it includes parts that work on all of them. Unfortunately, unless you happen to have multiple table saws that are different models, this means you are paying for several large parts that will be useless to you. My other complaint is that the screws in the kit I received are of different lengths and there is no indication which is to be used where. In fact, the correct hardware would have been four of the short screws and perhaps two of the longer ones. I received four longer screws and only two short. I now have a snapped off screw that I get to drill out -- fun. I'm a big fan of Bosch products, but they really missed the mark on this by trying to make a single kit that fits several different tools. All that said, once the kit was installed on my 4100 I'm pleased with the extra outfeed capability. It works well.

More than you asked for.
This is for 4100 and GTS. You can apply what I did for either one. I made table extension out of rail replacement parts, plywood and some other parts. Nothing fancy. When you buy this back extension it will come with almost two sets. One for 4100 and other for GTS. except slide bars. I used extras to extend "extension" to accommodate my ""extension"" on the left side of the table. All you need is to drill two holes (Your choice of offset) in extra support and you are done. It is like everything from Bosch. Brick house and good R&D. Have fun!

Extra Parts for Other Models vs Cost?
I think the out feed table is a good idea, but how come Bosch sends extra parts for other saws? I’m wondering how much money I could have saved if they had not included the extra parts. This is wasteful, I’m just going to wind up throwing the extra parts out.

Had To Modify Fence
I read the reviews before I purchased this item. They hit the nail on the head! Being a German made item I was expecting more but other reviewers were correct, the hole on the left side had to be moved inward to make the side move easily and the get the slide channel align with the fence cut-out. Also, they could have made it a little less expensive by not including a complete other fence, (excluding rails). I also purchased the side support earlier. I had no issues installing that item.

Perfect if you make one modification
When I installed this initially, which is not trivial with fat hands like mine, I was disappointed. The support was about 1/8” below the plane of the table top. So I shimmed with washers. Pain in the neck. Then I bought the left side support. It came with elongated holes in the support, which makes it easy to align. Bingo! I realized that all I had to do was elongate the holes on the outfeed support, and voila. Perfect. I love it now. It does seem wasteful that they include two full sets for 2 different saws. I can see their thought process, however. It is better that it is available than find out that the 4000 saw outfeed support is no longer made.

Enough parts for two (different) Bosch table saws.
I have a model 4100 Bosch portable table saw. This outfeed extension kit has parts for THREE models - the 4000 & 4100 (which are the same setup) and the GTS1041A Bosch saw. Rather than make two extension kits for the 4000/4100 and the GTS1041A which is the $2200 auto stop version that shuts down when it detects flesh, leave it the Germans to give me extra parts for the GTS1041A saw that I will never use. Sure, I can throw them out but it's incredibly wasteful. Check out my attached photo for the "extra" parts included which you don't need for the 4000 or 4100 saws (the cat does not come with the extension kit). There are two extra rail mounts and the 12 gauge outfeed support for the GTS1041A. What's weird is that the outfeed extension comes with the GTS1041A - for $2200 it had better come with the saw so why they sell it as an accessory is classic Teutonic logic. The extra parts make initial setup a little confusing and reading the directions eventually helps once you figure out that you have useless parts in the extension kit. It's simple enough to install once you put the extra parts aside. The actual extension works OK. I wish the locking knob were larger diameter and Bosch would include a ball end hex wrench which is really helpful for installing the hex/Allen bolts. The kit could be $15 cheaper if they eliminated the extra outfeed support and the mount for the rails meant for the GTS1041A. Quality German engineering - there's an oxymoron.

Wasteful Extra Parts
Overall it works well. But … The product is designed to fit multiple table saws. Therefore it comes with extra parts depending upon your table saw. These extra parts are unused and go to waste. But remember in the end we the consumer are paying for these extra parts. Bosch should if had two different products.

Could Be Easier to Push and Pull
The assembly wasn't all that complicated to install on my Bosch 4000 table saw. Check my left outfeed support review for the procedure (it's the same as this one). The two assemblies do not hit each other when collapsed, but, honestly, they should have been included with the original saw for the price. This assembly did have the tendency to get "jammed" if you don't push/pull it exactly in the middle. I did find the assembly rigid once locked, though. Some plywood (like thin T-111) did thave the tendancy to catch of the front lip of the assembly when it was fully extended, which I found quite dangerous and annoying; the front lip has a small metal bend which can suck the wood down, which could have had a fully round edge to prevent this. Additionally, I found that this assembly does not push in fully flush like the left and right supports do, which sort of looks goofy.

Received new package from Bosch
After waiting a bit for news from Bosch I received a new box containing the rear outfield support. No mail, no message, just a box near my front door. This time the content was correct with two plates to fit either my 4100 model or the 1040 model. Of course, as previously, there where also two trunnions for each plates so that half of the parts contained in the box will be stored to gather dust since I don't need them on my saw. I give only 4 stars because of that last point. Otherwise it would be 5 stars. The outfield support as well as the left support, that I also added to my saw, work correctly and do not interfere with other accessories nor with the gravity rise support. Some bolts are difficult to put in place for the right trunion but I succeeded. I also discovered that the rods diameter seems larger than the one on the outfield support that I had installed on my former 4000 model. My only suggestion to Bosch is to offer this accessory for only one saw model, thus avoiding material waste and higher price for the customer.

An easy to use add-on.
Fairly easy to install on my Bosch 4100-10 saw. Doesn't add too much weight. Comes in very handy when cutting long pieces.

Great add-on
I have a disability but still with patience I was able to install this assembly. It is made of top notch materials and will be around as long as the saw is. Completely out of the way and doesn't interfere with the gravity rise stand.
