brighter, cleaner chrome and sharper details then found elsewhere at this same price point

I purchased and returned a very similar double towel bar from Gatco. That one the chrome was not as smooth and the edges were not sharp. This one - very clear almost white chrome, the edges are sharp and consistent. The attaching hardware appears milled and not punched. It does not get 5 stars because the instructions are terrible. They just tell you how long the bar is but offer no real guidance on measuring or installing the hardware. The included wall anchors are also sub-par and I ended up using my own as the ones included just spun in the hole when I tried to use them. Never got a solid positive lock. If you mount into a stud - this won't be an issue but you may not find a stud at both mounting points.

Poor design functionality - cannot hang 2 bath towels easily.

I bought this towel bar for the purpose of being able to hang 2 bath towels on it. However, the space between the 2 bars is too close together, making it very difficult to hang a second towel once the first towel is hung on one of the bars. Even if I finally squeeze my fingers into the tight space to hang the 2nd towel, there is not enough air space between the 2 towels to dry them effectively. Also, the corners of the towel bar are not rounded and stick out, so when you hang a large bath sized towel on it, you cannot fully spread out the towel across the bar in order to dry the towel across the entire surface like you can with a towel bar that has curved and rounded edges. This towel bar was poorly designed for functionality and I therefore dislike it. However, once it is installed and already paid someone to hang it, it is too expensive to return and get another double towel bar.

Great quality product

This is a high-quality German-made product. It is obviously highly plated chrome-why anyone would think it had white knobs escapes me. Instructions could be a bit better, with giving guidance on the distance between the mounting plates. But easy enough to muddle through and get it installed.

Bars are too close together for towels

Tough to fit a towel and/or facecloth on each bar as the bars are too close to each other. Nice looking though.

Top Handtuchhalter mit kleiner Schwäche

Der Handtuchhalter sieht sehr schick und gediegen aus. Man sieht ihm an, dass da ein teures Produkt gekauft wurde. Bei der Anbringung der Halterungen auf den beiden Seiten muss man allerdings sehr genau bohren, was auf Fliesen ofmals etwas schwierig ist. Die Halterungen weisen zwar Langlöcher auf, mit denen man die Höhe auf beiden Seiten etwas korrigieren kann. Diese Langlöcher könnten aber etwas länger sein. Die Anbringung des Handtuchhalters auf den Halterungen ist dann aber gut zu machen, so dass man keine Befestigungselemente mehr sieht. Deshalb auch kein Sternabzug...

Edles Design

Ich habe mir den Handtuchhalter passend zu den restlichen Armaturen gekauft und es sollten 2 Handtücher drauf hängen, er hat ja auch 2 Stangen. Ich finde es ein ziemliches gefummel ein Handtuch auf die hintere Stange zu hängen zumal ich, wo der Halter an der Wand befestigt ist rauhputz habe. Schaut gut aus aber ich habe für meine Frau einen eigenen, zweiten Halter für ihre Handtücher gekauft.
