Be aware: everything changed!
I recently submitted a review blasting buildcom for sending me a counterfeit filter. I returned it, and ordered 2 more: one direct from Grohe and one from the company that sold me the system. Both arrived, one yesterday and one today: both are exactly like the one I shipped back to buildcom. Be aware the filter size is now different, the label color is different, the packaging is different, the cap on the filter is different; in short, everything is different about the filters and packaging from a few months ago and the filters Grohe is shipping now. That kinda information would have been nice, but was not specified anywhere. The picture and description are now obsolete. We really like our setup, moved to a 15 foot tank and have to recharge it far less frequently. Grohe could do a few things better on the documentation and support side, but the thing itself is great.

Grohe blue love
I am so in love with my Grohe Blue Chilled And Sparkling 2-Handle Faucet and Water System. It seemed like a crazy expense when we first thought about it, but it is one of my favorite kitchen appliances. These large water filters last us (a family of four) nearly a year and we use the faucet daily. Compared to the bottled water we used to go through it is a real bargain

This time I was little late to change the filter. In the old one it was restricted flow because dirt accumulation. Now with new filter, I noticed the difference in water flow and taste too. It works great.

its a must if you have a grohe
what can i say - if you have a grohe sparkling water tap then you need this. they are not cheap but they are cheaper than getting them elsewhere. it lasts about 6 months for me - same as the 5lb co2 bottle.

This filter almost fit into my BWT Bestmax filter head ...
This filter almost fit into my BWT Bestmax filter head, but not quite. In between two of the rings on the top of this filter Grohe has placed 6-7 small blocks of plastic. My handy Dremel tool had them out in no time and now this Grohe unit fits perfectly. It is almost half the price of the BWT Bestmax units and is in every other way that I can tell PERFECTLY IDENTICAL.

Necessary but expensive
It’s a filter and does what it’s supposed to but I question if it needs to be replaced after filtering 600 litres. If used regularly on a boiler tap, this equates to significant expense every 4 months or so. I replaced mine after 12 months (1300 litres) and could detect no deterioration in the quality of the water.

Better than Active Carbon that came with the tap
Purchased the "regular" version and this is so much better than the Active Carbon we received with the new tap, which does not filter out limescale - living in a very hard water area, this is the main reason for having a filter tap. Happy to have soft water for drinking and use in kettles/irons.
