Much more sturdy than first appearances but hard to clean
These skewers are very sharp and easily penetrate tough meats, shrimp shells and small lobsters. They look flimsy, but they are quite strong. I enjoyed using them until cleanup time…then they were much harder to use. The “v” shaped channels have sharp edges which makes them hard to grip while scrubbing them. Dishwasher cleaning did not penetrate the deep center channel. Eventually, I had to put up with scraped hands and scrub them with very coarse ( #4) steel wool. That worked. I liked them enough to keep them in spite of the cleanup issue.

Stainless steel and sturdy design.
These satisfy my requirement which are low. It can hold the weight of a hot dog, and it didn't rust in the dishwasher. The V shaped design lends to it's strength. Saying something is stainless steel doesn't give you the grade or property content. You know what to expect if you see 18/8, 18/10, 304, 430, but without knowing that it could just rust in the dishwasher anyway. A con is that the edges are sharp all the way around like it was pressed out then packaged with unfinished edges. But then again, most of the time you might be wearing a glove or something handling them anyway. I ran the handle end edges across a concrete block and it smoothed it enough to not feel like I was going to cut myself.

Great kabob holder with DIY update
These are great as the top is pointed enough to spear anything but not sharp enough to hurt an adult and the triangle shape is perfect to prevent spinning . Only needed improvement is a loop at the end to better grab them - which we added. Still best kabob holder for serious grillers and at a great price. Very sturdy!

It's not very often I get a 'dud' from Amazon
First, because my wife ordered a number of books for her office (one of my secondary addresses) Amazon changed my principle shipping address to her office and UPS tried to deliver it ... twice to me at her office -not- Secondly when the description on the description of these skewers said "Triangular" I wrongly assumed that meant they were a solid piece of metal -not-. Instead try more like "flimsy sharp-edged V shape) would have been fine if you were roasting marshmallows but that's just about it. Cut myself on one of them trying to impale small red potatoes. After two bent? They went directly to the trash can. I should have ordered a double order of the Rosle skewers (arriving Wed. this week) and not wasted my time, money or patience. John C. love these skewers. Just what we were looking for. We did not find them flimsy at all, in fact they are quite sturdy. And the v shape keeps the food from spinning around the skewer. We would definitely buy this item again.
