Nice!!
This is pre-seasoned. Food doesn’t stick and it cleans up easy. It has a flat side and you can flip it over for a grilling side. The two handles make it easy to move. We use it often

Love it!
After initial wash, I did season it, and it's perfect. No sticking, even heat distribution on my long/oblong burner. Love the fact it's double sided griddle/grill.

Heavyweight griddle, sits flat on the stovetop
Heats up well, good surface for burgers, eggs and pancakes

Disappointed, Not as big as advertised
So received this yesterday and opened the box and was a little disappointed. The actual cooking area is 8.5 inches by 15.5 inches. It has wide channels to catch grease which cuts down on the cooking surface. Haven't used it yet but it looks like it will work for now.

Wonderful product—DON’T SKIP THE SEASONING!
Purchased this griddle for a 4 burner Viking cooktop after the aluminum-coated griddle we’d had for years was ruined after I left a bag of pasta on it and turned on the wrong burner. Oops. We paid $140 for that accessory through Viking in 2006 and I now know we got ripped off. First, it was aluminum. It worked well enough but pancakes never had the golden appearance that everyone strives for. We have many other cast iron pans (including a Dutch oven) so when it was time for a replacement, cast iron was our natural choice. I’ll be honest—the reviews on here concerned me. Rusting, cracking, sticking... sounds a bit like a lemon product. Or could it be that these folks are not familiar with cooking with cast iron? I originally ordered a similar griddle made by Viking for 3x the price of this one. The seller contacted me to say that due to COVID 19, shipping was delayed. I decided to cancel that order and go with this one as it seemed to be in stock (seems it no longer is). I am so glad I made this decision! Immediately upon receiving the item and ensuring it would fit my cooktop (it does. Perfectly.) I set about seasoning the griddle. There are many methods you can try—I’m sure they all work fine, but the key here is that even though it says it’s been pre seasoned, you need to do this before cooking with it! I can understand why people had problems with sticking... they probably didn’t season it. I know that this step was necessary because when I took it out of the box, it was a dark grey color, but after seasoning it (I needed to use my BBQ because it was too big for my easy-bake oven) it turned the black patina that we all know is cast iron. This morning I tried it out for the first time cooking an egg. Much to my delight, the seasoning I performed on it prepped the griddle perfectly and the non stick surface worked flawlessly. Even better than my copper pans! I’m beyond thrilled with this purchase and expect it will provide many years of excellent cooking experiences. Very excited to try out pancakes and French toast!

Love this pan!
I finally broke down and purchased a grill/griddle pan. This was a great option and a good price. We have used this numerous times from burgers to french toast and all have turned out fabulous!

Wondering what took me so long to buy!
I've been grilling meat and vegetables since it came! I absolutely love cooking on it. When the weather prevents you from grilling outdoors. This is the next best way!

Just keep it seasoned and it will last forever!
It works exactly as it should. I purchased this so I can still use a flat top when my blackstone is covered with 2’ of snow. Most of my cookware is cast iron and will out live all of us as long as it is kept seasoned.

Value for money and very sturdy
Great product. But need to manage the heat while cooking or it will get burnt. And need to apply oil immediately after first wash or it's getting rusts.

The is a beauty. It's a grill/griddle but I use as a bake-tray/bake-sheet as well.
I'm happy with this item at $40.10. I feel like it was value for a good durable healthy sustainable item. This can also be a bake-tray in the oven. Use your imagination. Makes wonderful oven fries/hash-browns/potatoes wedges and more that you might normally do on a bake tray. Preheat with the oven like in electric ovens. Does it better than stainless steel, aluminum or other bake-trays because it really cooks from the bottom. Cast iron emits heat better than most other cooking materials, for example a frozen pie in the disposable pan placed on cast iron and baked will have a toasted crust on the bottom by the time the crust on top is toasted but the one cooked next to it in the disposable pan alone on the rack or on a regular bake-sheet (not thick iron or pizza stone) will have a bottom barely cooked, not toasted. Anyways not only is this a grill or griddle it's also the most durable bake-tray or bake-sheet I can find. It also cooks the best compared to other materials yet it preheats as fast as my electric oven does. The seasoning on this is really nice and feels both thick and smooth. I wonder if I will be able to maintain this level of home seasoning or if the factory did it better than I can. However over time I hope to build up magnetite seasoning, not just oil so hopefully when that happens it will be better than factory even if I can't keep the oil as thick or perfect along the way. All in all wonderful! Competition from other brands in similar casting shape is far more costly often double or more the price for same shape and size. Note: this emits heat so well that you can cook things that regularly need higher temperatures at lower temperatures and or or in less time. For example I just cooked 650g of wonderfully well done and crisp but not brown or burned McCain Superfries that regularly call for 20-25 minutes at preheated 425F at a measly preheated 350F for 20 minutes and then turned off and let cook with residual heat another 5. I did preheat the cast iron in the oven as the oven was preheating, then I took it out, put frozen fries on it while wearing silicone oven mitts to protect myself from burning and popped it back into the oven. It is likely that you won't need to cook anything above 400F in the oven. I note they only warranty it as "oven safe" to 400F which is likely out of concern for the seasoning and potential warranty issues if unhappy customers burn off the seasoning, don't re-season it and let it rust or something. You are unlikely to be able to damage the iron at any temperature safe for your household cooking oven or range. You can however burn off the seasoning at extreme temperatures or extended high heat use. This can be repaired through the regular reseasoning process of coating in vegetable oil and baking and cooling repeatedly until it is polymerized.

Perfect for a Two Burner Stove
This is the perfect size for a Coleman Triton Camping stove. Many cast iron griddles are smaller. This one was perfect length and width to maximise cooking area on the two burner stove with little wasted space. The handles also do not extend much beyond the ends and so it does not prevent the wind shield from being set up. It’s reversible which makes it very versatile. You can cook bacon and pancakes for breakfast on the one side and grill burgers for dinner on the other. I just wish the step down groove around the edge was not there as it wastes some precious cooking space, and prevents you from cooking runny things like scrambled eggs on the flat side. But for the fact that this is cast iron and a decent size it’s great value for money and will last for years to come if cared for appropriately. Definitely a savvy buy for camping!
