GORGEOUS QUILTED BEDSPREAD
I kept putting off ordering this quilted bedspread for a long time. It was the colors that were kind of putting me off. I wanted this to be my "Winter Quilted Bedspread" (I have this same brand quilted spread, "Blooming Prairie", and it is absolutely beautiful...it is my spring/summer spread). I decided I would go ahead and order this spread so I could actually see the colors in person ~ soooo glad I did. It is just lovely and it is going to be so warm and inviting looking this fall & winter. FYI ~ I have a king bed but I do not like the spread to come to the floor so I order the Queen Spread and it comes to the bottom of the side rails...my bed is on a frame that has four posts and side rails. Since I really did not want to use it with pulling the spread over the bed pillows, a friend helped me figure out how to make this work (the Quilt in this pattern in the King is too short of either side so I was perfectly delighted they make this pattern in a bedspread). We pulled the spread up to the headboard and the overage of material at the foot, we tucked between the mattress & box springs and still had some fabric hanging free at the foot so that the mattress & box springs do not show, then made a hospital corner and with the little bit of the spread that was still sticking out from under the corner, I neatly stuck it between the mattress & the side rail ~ perfect! Making the bed and keeping the spread neat & tidy is so easy because of the squares. I do not dread making up the bed because it is now just so easy getting the spread neat & tidy! The fabric is very high quality and although I have not washed my Blooming Prairie spread, I expect it to wash very nicely. I use a tape roller to keep dog & cat fur from staying on it...but I also cover the spread with a "dog/cat sheet" at night so the fur does not weave it's way through the fabric. Oh...almost forgot ~ I ordered the throw to go on top of the spread ~ gives it just that one little extra dimension and also helps to keep the spread clean during the day....yep...pets get on the bed. I found the square decorator pillows on Amazon (look for my review of them and you will know where to order them as they do not come with the three piece spread set).

Beautiful quilt!
Love this quilt that I use as a bedspread! The colors are so warm and rich. I love the texture. It is heavy enough to lay nicely but light enough to handle well. It does not wrinkle easily. I can fold it back and the next day it smoothes out easily. I have not washed it yet but it appears to be good material. So pleased with it. Recommend it!

Better than the photo
I love this bedspread! After reading the reviews, I decided to get the queen size for our king size bed. I don't like a long bedspread that hangs down to the floor because I think it gets heavy, and pets are always rubbing up against it, and I think it's harder to see when vacuuming under the bed. I actually wanted something that was more of a quilt, but those are usually too short. The weight is perfect. For some reason, as we've gotten older, my husband and I don't like a lot of blankets piled on our bed. We use a heated mattress pad (in the winter), sheets and some kind of quilt. If it's really cold, then heavier pajamas! Another thing we no longer like is having our feet weighed down by heavy bedding. Even though we bought a smaller size, it's still very large, and easily covers the bed frame. Another problem I've been running into is sheets have gotten to be much larger to accommodate those deep pillow top mattresses. A lot of us have switched to foam styles, and that means sheets are hanging down further than a lot of quilts. This bedspread takes care of that, too. One thing I should mention is our bed frame also has a footboard which means that I can pull the top of the bedspread up further to cover the pillows. That's good because at first I was disappointed because I forgot that the pillow shams were not going to be for a king bed. But because I can cover our "sleeping" pillows with the bedspread, the shams look like nice accent pillows. Funny, the queen size was actually more expensive than the king size. I also noticed that you have to look closely to see what you're getting since there are several versions. I might not have noticed this if I hadn't seen it in another review.

Good value
Pros - I read reviews for other quilts (not for this quilt) that complained about the quilt being too small, so when I ordered this quilt I almost ordered a king size for my queen bed because I didn't want it to be too small. Instead I took some measurements beforehand and decided to order a queen size, and I'm glad I did. For this quilt, the queen is ample size for my queen bed, and I have a very thick mattress. It hangs only about 5" off the floor on both sides. A king would have been too big. I also like the way it's made. It's fully reversible and actually made of squares of material sewn together (by machine, not by hand), as opposed to being a fake, printed quilt. I also took a chance and ordered one that was in the factory packaging but the packaging had been only slightly damaged. I got a much lower price and it made zero difference in the condition of the quilt. Cons - The only con I can think of is a strictly subjective one - seeing the quilt in person on my bed and not just in a photo, it's a little "busier" than I thought it was going to be just judging by the photo. Every square of the quilt is floral, and IMO it needs some non floral squares to break it up a little bit and make it less overwhelming. If I had seen it in a store I probably would not have bought it just based on aesthetics (as opposed to the quality, which is good). That's not the quilt's fault, however. The difficulty in judging aesthetics based on a photo online is also why I don't usually buy clothing online. Some things just need to be seen in person before buying them.

Nice quilt but definitely not the colour advertised
As others have stated, the quilt is huge -- I have an elevated sleigh bed and it still touches the floor. Seems to be good quality but I haven't laundered it yet. My biggest peeve is the colour -- I was looking for the red tones to go with mahogany furniture and what came is YELLOW. Really yellow. Was a gift from my son so it won't be returned and for what he paid ($100), it's a good value.

Perfect Bedspread from Greenland Home
First of all, I ordered this item and received it 2 days later, awesome! The style is exactly what I was looking for; pretty to look at, has that country feel and yet practical too. I wasn't sure about how it would cover my king size bed but it does so beautifully and completely. No maneuvering and pushing it toward the foot of the bed to make it look nice and cover it properly. It fits perfectly. Beautiful, well made product and fast shipping. 5 star service!

Really nice!
Very nice quality, just the colours I wanted too. I was afraid that the material would be stiff, but it is nice and soft. Fits my queen size bed with thick mattress with room to spare.
