Nice screen

The screen arrived on time, only it was bent and the lifting rod was missing. I was able to bend the screen enough to a useable condition but it still rubs a little. The lifting rod was missing and I am having to use a broom handle to raise and lower the screen. After paying over $260 for this maybe I should have waited for the price to drop.

Great Screen!

We've had this for about a month and so far we love it!!! After reading some reviews I decided to stay it woth clear high heat rustoleum and I plan in spraying it again before the winter. But so far we are very pleased!

The egg shape troubled my OCD

Maybe i got a wonky version, it happens, but the firepit screen i received wasn't round. When closed it just looked wrong on my Breeo Firepit, had more of an egg or eye shape. It really did the opposite of complementing the Breeo so it had to go. Mine also had alot of bubbly mesh issues, you could see areas that bulged out therefore losing it's round contour look. Otherwise the quality was nice and the metal finish was good. Opened and closed well.

They still build them "like they used to" !!!!

My screen arrived on the day promised. I'm extremely pleased with the screen. The ribs are made from polished stainless steel. Beautiful heavy grade mesh screen. Handles welded on solid. After reading the reviews for the less expensive screens I decided that "you get what you pay for" and decided to go for a little more pricesy - glad I did. I paid a little more and received much more. I think very fitting to this product is that if I were to put this in a yard sale someone would look at it and say "look at that - great quality - they just don't build them like that anymore" -- well actually they do. I highly recommend this screen. The picture on the website is very acurate. My screen came with a very nice poker for stirring the fire wood. Also beautifully made - Thank You !! I'm giving this screen a well deserved 5 stars.

Not so stainless...already rusting

I bought this because we've been through a few others and they had either rusted or burnt through. However, stainless steel is excellent against those elements and so far so good. That being said, it's slightly small ( by an or fraction) because it's meant to sit on the top flat edge of a fire pit, which ours isn't--it's curved. The cover sinks in a bit, but definitely works to protect. This is my reason for a 4 versus 5 star rating.

Hinge pins are not stainless steel. Starting to rust after the first rain. The price should have included stainless hardware.

Inaccurately titled

Product is titled 26" and listed at 26 inches, but does not cover a fire pit measured with 26" diameter. The paper receipt I received actually measures this product at 25" inches. While removing the bubble wrap, I learned the hard way of protruding metal points left behind after manufacture which did puncture and draw blood. The cover itself is very flimsy and does not have any means to lock in place. This means unless you are holding both handles at the same time, the other half will go with gravity and now you have a fire pit cover with sharp metal points swinging around until you can catch it. Once the cover is down and in place, the fork provided can easily open or close the hatch. If you need to move the whole cover for any reason during a fire, you are screwed because the fork can only grab one handle and again leaving the other half of the cover swinging freely with burning hot sharp metal points. Avoid this product and get yourself something that is a single piece. It is stupidly expensive for a poorly constructed product made without care. I bought this because covering a 26 inch diameter fire pit leaves me with few options, I had this for 15 minutes before requesting a refund. Instant regret.
