It’s a cute jacket. We’ve had a rainy season and we’ve used this jacket since 2021. It’s in good shape and works. Took a lot for Marley to get used to it. She doesn’t like the hood so I tuck it in the collar. I do wish it was longer for her back. So far so good, nothing wrong. Easy to wash too

GREAT COAT!
Am so impressed with this doggie parka! Wanted something warm and waterproof for my little Havanese. And because she is so low to the ground, wanted a coat that really covered her tummy. This Gooby parka does all those things, perfectly. But because I had tried and returned a few because of sizing, I realized that Havanese are a little longer than most little dogs of the same weight, so I ordered 2 sizes up so it would cover more of her hind quarters. Thus, for a 12 lb. pup I ordered a Large, and it is good. Yes, the girth is a little wide, but it secures with wide Velcro under the tummy and therefore is adjustable. When she comes inside after a long walk in the cold New England rain, she is dry, her tummy is clean, and the gravel etc. is easily rinsed off the bottom of the parka. As a bonus feature there is also a strong leash hook sewn securely onto the back of the coat. Or, if you prefer a front attaching harness, the high collar is open enough in the front so there is no problem attaching a leash there. I highly recommend!

Beautiful, highly functional parka for TOY DOGS
This fits great for a very tiny dog. The first day he was a little stiff legged in it, but shortly was able to run and frisk as usual. Sturdy. Attractive. Washes fine in machine. Goody small dog coats, vests and shirts are sized for toy dogs. The only way to tell if a certain garment will fit is to try it on. The Velcro tends to gather stuff which can be picked off. The hood rooks very nicely and flat into the collar. My tiny dog really likes wearing his coat. He can wear it over the Gooby fleece vest or on its own. My only complaint is that there is nothing in between XS and S, and between S and M. Some of my dogs really are in between. There is not a lot of adjustability. I am going to try the bomber jacket with the stretchy chest area. Be alert for great sales in Gooby via Add-on; the reductions are real. Addendum; have purchased 2 more of this style over the past year - - a MEDIUM in pink and black for a large pregnant Chihuahua - well over 10 pounds with the big belly, and now one in all black for a tall thin male. It is super sophisticated looking. Since he is thinner, he really does need a liner sweater underneath. The Gooby products are excellent - and they last and last when treated well. I have used a less costly black sweatshirt by another maker for underneath dwear. Also a Gooby fleece sweater and Gooby vest. O

love this jacket for my 17lb shih tzu!
Love this jacket! I have a 17lb shih tzu who’s a little barrel chested and extremely large for a shih tzu and this is one of his best fitting jackets. Snug without being tight, stylish, warm, and totally waterproof. Love that the hood can be tucked away. I was initially nervous about the ring attachment, because you have to use it, there’s no slit for you to put a harness on under (and a harness wouldn’t fit over it unless you got a bigger sized harness), but it’s held up surprisingly well and I’m no longer concerned. Heavier dogs that pull extremely may be a little less lucky, but my dog pulls and is fairly strong and it doesn’t seem in any danger of breaking!

Great parka for winter weather!
Excellent for winter weather! We own the Gooby fleece vest in a size L for my 15 lb cairn terrier. Finding clothes to fit him can be difficult, because he is usually between sizes. Like the vest, this parka fits my dog very well. We just received a ton of snow because of winter storm Jonas here in Virginia, and this vest has kept my dog both dry and warm from the the snow! The hood is slightly too big on him, and it doesn't really stay put, so I love that we can hide it under the collar. I wish the parka had more of a sleeve to it to help protect my dog's legs from the snow. My only dislike of this item (and of the majority of other Gooby dog clothes items which share the same feature) is that there is an attached leash hook, which I would never use because my dog needs a more reliable restraint. We end up just having to put his harness over the parka, which is a little awkward. I would love if there was a slit instead which I could thread the harness straps through, which would allow me to put on my dog's harness under the parka, which would be a lot more comfortable for him. Otherwise, I highly recommend this item!

Highly Recommend for protection from cold wind, rain and snow!
We bought this the first time over year ago when we were going to be taking our rat terrier with us on a trip to Michigan and wanted to make sure she would be warm enough when we walked along the shore of Lake Michigan. After a year and a lot of use, I can say that this jacket is awesome for dogs who are going to be out in the cold wind, rain and snow. We take her to work and walk her every day, and during the winter it protects her well, especially from the cold wind which we experience often during Texas winters. It is also a great harness, has plenty of velcro and I'm very confident when we use it as a harness that she will not escape, even when she wants to chase a rabbit! We recently adopted our second rat terrier, both rescues, and I just ordered one of these for her. I don't write very many reviews but had to on this one because I am that impressed with the product. Our older rat terrier is 13.5 pounds and the large fits her perfectly, and our new adoptee is 11 pounds and I ordered a medium, after trying the large on her and seeing that it was too large.

Sizing is wrong
The sizing chart is completely off. I purchased a size small for my 9 week old French Bulldog puppy based on her measurements and the size chart. My puppy is small for her breed and the velcro on the jacket (located on the stomach by the way, which is terrible), barely closes. The collar is too high for a dog who doesn't have a long neck. velcro'ing the stomach is impossible with a squirmy dog and never stays closed. There is no hole in the back of the coat to attach a leash to a collar. The quality is excellent, but sizing and velcro design are terrible.

Not much keeping this vest on. Although it fits my boston very well there is just some velcor keeping it on. No slot for leashe to attach to harness neither so you need to attach directly to vest. Hood doesn't stay on either.

Fit perfectly
Measure, measure, and measure again, anytime something is sold in certain sizes. This has very little to no adjustments. It'll either fit or not. Fit my 9month 25lbs Boston Terrier perfectly.

Looks better on the model
I ordered a size L for my Boston Terrier who is on the athletically lean side and I couldn't do up the top of the jacket. Maybe he just has a really muscular neck! The hood is kind of useless, as it just gave his dog buddies something to hold on to at the park.
