Has Potential
I think this sack has great potential. I really liked the fabric - it was soft and the pink color was nice for my daughter. I also liked that it came in a larger size, and that is exactly what prompted me to buy it. We had been using the Summer Infant SwaddleMe sacks (which were def 5 stars, in my opinion), but they were getting too small for our 4 month old who is almost 20 lbs. The Go Mama sack fit across her chest, which was the main problem we began to have with Summer Infant (too tight across her chest to get velcroed closed). However, the Go Mama didn't form a tight enough swaddle, like some other reviewers pointed out. She broke out of it every time. The other thing that was a downside to this sack, as opposed to the Summer Infant, is that you have to wrap it around her body. (This is more of personal preference.) Putting it on her would wake her up because we had to move her around so much to get it wrapped around her. Our routine had been feeding the baby, she falls asleep, then we'd drop her into the SwaddleMe sack and she remained sleeping. With this sack, we couldn't keep her asleep to get it on her after her feeding. But, I could live with that if it provided a tight swaddle, especially because the sack itself actually fit her. One area of concern is the flap that is the final closure of the swaddle. In the product picture, it's the one with the heart label on the baby's chest. Because the swaddle wasn't tight, this "strap" kept inching it's way up toward the baby's neck, which concerned me that it could choke her, since this piece of fabric was wrapped around her body. I think this has great potential though. If this company could make the velcro similar to that of the Summer Infant sacks, where the velcro spans a larger area of the fabric, rather than just 2 small strips (currently a front and back strip), it would allow for the swaddle tightness to be more custom to the child, therefore getting a tighter swaddle.

Best swaddling blanket on the market!
We've tried many, MANY, different swaddling blankets and are now on our third newborn child. Suffice to say we've used some truly horrible, generally average, and decent swaddling blankets during that time. I'm even guilty of trying to use a pillowcase as swaddling blanket; yes, that one falls in the "don't bother trying" category. So when we tested out the Snug & Tug swaddling blanket and saw how UTTERLY EASY is was to wrap around our child, how QUICKLY our child calmed, and how long it's LASTED (we've got one that's almost 5 years old now and works fantastically) we knew we'd finally found a swaddling blanket brand we would stick with. Go Mamma Go Designs has done a great job making a great product. You won't regret your purchase, I know we LOVE our three different sized ones!

It's no Miracle Blanket.
I bought this swaddle when my daughter outgrew the Miracle Blanket. She would sleep 10+ hours in a swaddle so I wasn't quite ready to embark on free-style sleeping that would only lead to 4 hour stints. My husband and I both work full time and we got spoiled with a full night's sleep. In a desperate attempt to recover the nights-of-yore, I ordered this. She could 'break out' of it very easily but she could break out of any swaddle (and I am a pro...trust me) so it really didn't surprise me that much. It was nice to get the first stretch of sleep and the fact that I didn't have to fight her little hands while I bf. If you are looking for a good swaddle---you need the miracle blanket.

Much better than competitors! Durable.
I have several different swaddlers for my son. This by far is the best one. I actually just ordered a second one today. My son has not been able to break out of it and keeps him asleep longer. Other brands stretch out after a couple uses and washes. The Velcro is really strong and durable. Definitely would recommend.

Multiple issues prevent this from being a workable swaddling solution.
The way this product is designed makes it very difficult to swaddle a squirmy baby. Even Go Mama Go Designs' own product demo video on their website shows the spokeswoman having trouble with it. To use it you have to: 1) Open a pouch and place the baby inside up to his/her neck. 2) Get the pouch closed while keeping baby's arms inside of it (no small task!). 3) Thread one wing around the pouch and through a slit in the swaddler. Still while keeping baby's arms inside the darn thing. 4) Wrap the threaded wing beneath the baby and fasten the velcro on baby's back. While baby fights to free his/her arms. 5) Wrap the other wing all the way around the baby and fasten the velcro on baby's front. And that's if you can even line up the velcro where it belongs. I picked this up because the product features said it fit babies from 14-28 pounds (though when I received the product, it claims to work only for 14-22 pound babies). My baby was 16 pounds 10 ounces at the time, so it should have fit well. But it's way too large to get a good, tight swaddle. Once I get it tight enough to keep my baby swaddled properly, the velcro tabs are pulled far beyond the areas where their closures reside. So the second baby moves even the slightest bit, the wings come loose because there's nothing to fasten them to. I'm hoping it will work better for us once my baby is larger. The one use I do have for this product now is on cold nights. I use this over a Summer Infant SwaddleMeSummer Infant Swaddleme Microfleece, Blue, Large to help keep my baby warm. And since the pouch on the Snug and Tug goes up to his neck, he can't get his hands completely out like he can with the SwaddleMe alone (that product opens at the waist, letting roaming hands free easily).

Great for bigger babies!
This is perfect for my big baby; he is 18 pounds. He's only 3.5 months old and still loves being swaddled. The other day we found him with his blanket around his face. It scared me like crazy! He is too strong to be swaddled with just a blanket anymore. This has been the perfect solution! He's been sleeping so well since we bought this for him.
