Great lamp!

I got this so I could use this cool jellyfish lampshade, and it's absolutely perfect! I expected it to be a touch taller but thankfully with my space the height is no issue at all. The packaging was so perfect were keeping the boxes to make our next move either, not an inchoate wasted space. It was super easy to put together and though it has a floor button we are using led bulbs with a remote and it works stunningly! Obviously it's easy to swap out the lampshade too for a different vibe, as long as you're careful about the connection size. Super happy with these lamps, would buy again if we needed to light a larger space :)

Messed up threading on parts

Very cute, threading messed up on stand… eventually was able to get it in with only a little crooked area. I decided to keep it because I had already went through the trouble of putting it together

Beautiful Lamp, Switch too Close to Plug

I love this lamp but the switch to turn it on and off is closer to the plug than to the lamp itself. This may seem inconsequential but for me it means if I plug my lamp in behind furniture the switch ends up behind that object. I have solved the problem by plugging the lamp into plugs controlled by switches but this also means I can't plug anything else there that I want to stay on when the light is off. I still love the lamp and am overall happy with the purchase, but thought I would share for other who care about these details when decorating.

Attractive piece at a great value

I've had this lamp for just over a year. It's moved around a couple of times before settling in the entry way by a console table. I put an LED grow light in it for my plants. Sometimes we swap the bulb out and put in a LED rotating disco lightbulb in it for some fun dance parties. It's an attractive piece and was offered at a great value. The light was packaged nicely and easy to assemble. The base is a nice weight, which lends to it's basic sturdiness, but the support pole stands at about six feet, and is made up of five separate screw-together pieces, and makes the light, as a whole, a little wobbly. Honestly, as long as you don't plan on using it for pole-dancing, this shouldn't be too much of a problem. I have a hyper five year-old, which is why I have the lamp safely tucked in a corner spot. The cord is a generous length with a convenient power on/off foot tap. I've been satisfied with its light output, be it with the grow light and disco light. At one point, I had a decorative large globed Edison bulb in it, and the lighting was delightfully ambient. I received my product with no dents or scratches, but would recommend that you thoroughly check your product for any unsightly blemishes. This product has exceeded my expectations. Before purchasing it, I read a lot of the reviews --- so I felt prepared for any type of disappointment. For the price which this floor lamp was offered, it just seemed worth it, ultimately. I love this piece and it receives plenty of compliments. It's a nice addition to our home.

Works great as a grow light for tall plants

This lamp is simple yet elegant in matte brass. I bought this lamp to use with a grow lamp for a tree that I tucked away in the corner of my living room. I absolutely love it and was exactly what I needed. Very easy to assemble and a great value.

Quality is meh but modern, sleek lamp!

Got this lamp because it fit the aesthetic I wanted for my room. It's pretty simple to put together although the wire that ran through was twisted so it was initially hard to get through the poles. The bulb is pretty bright and there's no shade (unless you buy one yourself) so best to put it somewhere where you're not likely to always stare at it. It's super modern as a result though and that's something I did want. I've had it for about a year now and it's pretty good. The foot on/off is super easy since it's right underneath my desk and I just stomp it to get it to turn on/off. The only thing I've noticed now, after a year of use and an apt move, is that it's not as sturdy as it once used to be. It sways a little back and forth, even on solid ground with just the support it has itself. It's not perfectly straight anymore and it's definitely a bit annoying and can ruin the aesthetics/look of a place. Maybe it needs more tightening but I wish it held its 'shape' longer without human intervention. Besides that, it has a heavy base, so it does seem sturdy in that sense. And it's easy to assemble. Vote HELPFUL if my review helped you make a decision at all. It encourages me to keep writing!

Decent lamp for the price point, provides moderate light

After reading reviews about others having trouble putting the lamp together or saying that it was kind of wobbly/tilting to the side, I was a little hesitant but for the price I decided I’d give it a try, especially since other lamps similar to this style were running 15-20.00 more. It was fairly easy to put together— the trick for me was to pull the electrical cord tight from the bottom, BUT you have to make sure the cord is straight coming through the other end or you’re going to get resistance because there’s no slack. Once I got each piece threaded through, I went back and tried to tighten once more to be safe. It stands up straight and seems pretty sturdy! We bought this lamp to provide some light in our living room behind our couch. (Our living room is average size, maybe 350 sq ft) We have two other lamps in the room in opposite corners, which I’m glad because I’m a little disappointed with the amount of light coming out. I have to say though if you wanted to leave a soft light on, it works well. in the pictures I have the recommended Edison bulb placed. We will be getting a cage for the bulb as another reviewer mentioned doing. I am happy with the lamp overall and like how easy it is to use the floor switch.

Simple

Simple and sleek. If you just need a simple lamp for some ambient lighting; this is the lamp for you. The only drawback is that all the pieces are not the same finish. It very noticeable during the day but not at night.

What you see is what you get

It's a nice lamp, decent quality, does what it's supposed to and looks like the pictures. The only problem I had was the base was really messy for some reason, like it had been placed on a dirty shop floor before I got it.

Perfect fit & finish!

This Globe Holden 70" floor lamp is really nice; here is what stood out to me: - Comes well packed, every piece of the lamp is well packaged to avoid getting dinged and scratched. - Easy to assemble, with clear basic and concise instructions (although, you probably won't need those; it can only go one way). - Once assembled, very sturdy, no wobble, no slack. Stands perfectly straight. I've moved it around my home quite alot to see the effect in different rooms, shows no signs of falling apart. Very well constructed. - Fit and finish is spot-on! No scratches, knocks, bends or otherwise. It looks like a single sturdy piece even if it is divided in many pieces. - Aesthetically very pleasing. I was looking for something with an industrial feel, but minimalist and easy to fit anywhere. This lamp fills all those roles. It even looks really nice in a slightly rustic corner of a room. - With the proper bulb, it could easily be used as a reading lamp. - Consider this option as a lightbulb: >>> Globe Electric 84650 40W Silver Designer Vintage Edison Chromeo Incandescent Light Bulb, E26 Base, 220 Lumens <<< This is what I use, it it's perfect for setting mood but not blind you. I am 1.77m tall and the bulb doesn't blind me. It casts an upward light. - I haven't found any negative to this lamp, although there is something I would prefer. About the base, the pole sits in the centre of the base, but it would be nice if the pole was nearer the back. Just an opinion.

Quite sturdy and looks as pictured

Great light for a small corner in a living room. It is very pretty and sturdy. My only gripe is that not all the parts of the stem (comes in 3 pieces) are the same shade of gold. The top part that hooks (where the bulb attaches) is a slightly different shade of gold and noticeable when you walk up to it. Otherwise, I still like it a lot.
