So fun brought back memories

While not really anything like the video game it did bring on some nostalgia. That said, it was FUN to play!

Great 3D special puzzle

Board game adaptations of video games usually flop. This one is actually very fun. Not sure why the box doesn't credit the designer PWH as he's created dozens of fabulous games in recent years like Barenpark, Sushi Go and Imhotep. You can't go wrong with his acrylic adaptation of this classic video game IP.

Old school

I bought this for my kids for Christmas because I am a huge fan of the old computer game. It translates well into a board game. Not as exciting but still fun and makes the kids think.

Buffalo Games deserves the Nobel Prize for mapping Tetris to a board game

Have you ever wondered what happened before the universe existed? There was something; but we knew not what, until now. Buffalo games has brought us the original board game of the universe - the game that spawned creation itself. Tetris the video game will always be fun, but if you want some media free awesome then prepare to read the manual and then play this board game. The adaptations & add ons are what make it playable without a knob. Only quirk is sometimes you must pat the matrix on the side to get the pieces to go, which I see as a feature. I can only imagine that somewhere far away in a higher dimension the same occurs. Awesome family/friends 4-player game!

Great, well-made game

Had a little trouble with the directions, but we were able to figure out how to get the single square pieces. It even came with enough ziplock bags to keep all the colored Tetris pieces separate, and an organizer to fit everything nice and neat into the sturdy box. The Tetris piece holders are also sturdy making it hard for them to fall over. This is a great game which takes lots of thought and planning a heady! It can be played in different ways to create short or long games, or to track points or not.

I was shocked how fast I received the package … the games is fun and tempting … not exactly like Tetris but the best you can get for 2d

An under-appreciated diamond in the rough

This is indeed (as the title says), an under-appreciated diamond in the rough. The game can be taught in a few minutes, played within 30 mins, even with 4 players. It packs so much thinky-fun and meaningful decisions in the short 30mins game time. (it felt like 15 mins). Tetris is an excellent game for both casual/family game nights and experienced gamers as a super fun filler. The game also invokes the occasional laughter when someone dropped a piece in the wrong column due to "parallax error". And NO, the actions are not reversible or undoable. Don't even try or you will mess up everything. So its perfect when you have someone in your game group who always reverse or undo his turn! The simultaneous game play also means that there is hardly any down time. There is some (indirect) interaction between the players as they have to compete to complete the common objectives, as the player/s who complete first will score more points. It reminds me of Project L / Fits, Baren Park and even Super Mega Box! There are some production issues with the Matrix and the base but they aren't game-breaking and can all be easily resolved. Overall, this is an excellent game marred by some production oversight, but it should not detract anyone from enjoying and having it in their game collection!
