Outstanding quality and value
These are by far the best yardwork knee pads I've had. For a long time, I bought Friskars 9430 kneepads because they were inexpensive and did the job. When new, that is. When new, they're flat and the Velcro overlap just made it. After molding to the shape of my legs, the Velcro eventually (in a few weeks) no longer overlapped. After that the only thing holding them together was the fact that the elastic would stick to the stationary pieces of Velcro. More or less. I'd keep having to press them back on. But eventually even that wouldn't work, and at that point I tossed them out. I kept a spare pair on hand for that reason -- I considered them essentially disposable. The elastic would give out and no longer hold at all long before the pad was worn. And the pad was thin and just barely useful. The Ergodyne knee pads are terrific. Not only are they pre-contoured (and even are different for left and right), but the elastic is wider, heavier, and stronger, and doesn't seem to stretch much at all. They're also more comfortable and heavier-duty. And they stay in place. The pads are thicker and stronger, too, and the fabric seems like it'll last a long time. I've tried others that I ordered on Amazon, but they were even worse than the Friskars. I'm sure that professional kneepads might be even better, but that's overkill for my applications. The Ergodynes are definitely good enough for me! I do landscape maintenance on my labor-intensive yard plants and trees, of which there are literally hundreds. The Ergodyne are my new choice for knee pads, and it's clear that they'll last a very long time before needing replacement. ADDED JULY 21, 2020: I've been using these knee pads for over a year now. I have a spare pair, because I always have to have knee pads on hand, but I think it'll be a long time before I'll need the spares. These are absolutely the best knee pads that an amateur (and maybe some professionals) can get, especially for the price. They look, fit, and feel almost like new, and they've had VERY heavy service. I can't recommend these more highly. If you're looking for knee pads for backyard gardening and/or DIY landscape maintenance (as in my case), look no further. ADDED JUNE 25, 2021 The last pair I was using finally gave out (well, not totally, but getting there), so I just bought another one and will now use the ones I bought here last year. These knee pads are very well designed and exceptionally well made, and a phenomenal value in my opinion. I'll continue getting them for my home landscape maintenance work as long as they're available (which I hope is forever). I just can't speak highly enough about them. Exceptional! This will be my last update to my review.

Decent kneepad
I garden. I am not young. Kneepads are not a luxury, they are a necessity. I've tried many. Don't bother with any that only have one strap around your leg. Avoid velcro like the plague. I liked this one for the easy buckle adjustments on the two straps. The only issue I have and I've been using these for a few months now is that the elastic already seems to be loosening up on the straps. This means that one or another of the straps will fall away and if you're not paying attention and you walk across your landscaping on your knees like I do (paying more attention to the plants than to your gear), the whole kneepad can slip out of place quickly. After one painful rock reminder, I now cinch the straps tighter every hour I'm working just to make sure they are holding.

My knees are happy
Part of my job in retail is merchandising, haveing to kneel on the floor a lot. These are great, comfortable, stay put, lots of cushion, not bulky like some knee pads. I would recommend these for kneeling on nonabrasive surfaces, grass, etc. I am buying another pair for gardening.

Not Enough Cushion
Work overnights at a store, lots of kneeling, I've tried many kneepads over the years and these are almost the best The Good: Contour well to knees, straps cause minimal discomfort, doesn't slide down or to the side easily, not to hot to wear over pants, good durability (velcro still holding up) The Bad: The padding in these things suck, I noticed after a few days some sharp knee pain while crawling around and working, these things just aren't thick enough to protect your knees for sustained use on hard floors. I ended up using some 3/8 thick closed cell weather stripping foam to add some needed padding which worked out well.

Great knee pads!
I ordered these knee pads to give some cushion to my weak old knees for when I have to get down on the floor to clean bathtubs, clean baseboards, and such. They are perfect. Lots of cushion, and they are easy to put on and take off with the adjustable Velcro straps. They do not ride up or down and are very comfortable when I use them over my jeans or other long pants. If I'm doing a lot of cleaning, I just put them on in the morning and wear them all day. They are that comfortable. So glad I purchased these! I don't think you will be disappointed if you order them. I use Amazon Prime, and they arrived right on time in two days. Love Amazon Prime!

Too Thin
Loved the fit, but too thin for every day work. Not enough cushion

Proflex knee pads
After doing some research and reading reviews, I think I made a great choice with the Proflex. They are very comfortable and extra padded. I wear them for work where I am up and down on my knees on concrete floors and my knees feel great. I wish they were a little smaller so the straps could be tightened more as I have a smaller frame. Its not a big issue however and they don't slip down that much. I'd say it was a good purchase.

lots of padding
These knee pads have far exceded any others I have bought in the past, As a gardener I kneel on rocks and ledges for a big part of my day in mud. As a 6'1" man these fit well and stay in place, and wash up i no time. They are definitly wide enough to reach to the side and not lose the protection of the padding. Have already bought a second pair. Thank You John

Great product, even for hookers!
Very large to protect all around the knee. Comfortable and well made. Great way to protect your knees! This is not an encouragement to hookers, but may very well work to serve a variety of jobs..
