Used after ACL Surgery

Constantly slips down off knee/can't return!,

I'm disappointed in the fit. I used the size chart, measured carefully according to instructions, and placed my order. Delivery was fast! When it arrived, I read the directions and put it on. I wore it around the house to get used to it. When it started slipping below my knee, I read the instructions carefully and followed the directions. Still slipped after a few minutes. I put on my jeans, and tried again, believing the friction of jeans and knee wrap would help keep it in place - but it did not. I have purchased and used Donjoy products before, and I'm flummoxed this doesn't work. I can't return it,or I would. :>(

Good pain free support but not good for running

I ordered this brace so that I could run with more stabilization to not put additional strain on a medial meniscus tear with bone edema. This brace is sized correctly and provides good support and stabilization. It's fairly comfortable. The one downside is it's not great for running. Knee flexion is difficult past 90 degrees with the brace on. This makes it difficult to get a good kick needed for speed. However, this feature probably makes it more ideal for doing squats with my injury although I have not attempted that yet. It also sticks out medially, so I wouldn't recommend it for anyone with knock-knees or excessive foot pronation. The brace is also not adjustable to "unload" medial or lateral stain specifically. Overall it's a good brace and a much better value than some of the others I've seen online.

Quality but itches

The opening in the back itches and is very uncomfortable. I’ve had the same brace prior but it did not have the opening in the back, it lasted for years util the velcro wore out. Other than that it’s a very sturdy solid quality knee brace.

Good, but be careful about the sizing.

It is a better-than average over-the-counter brace for meniscus related knee pain, but it is not the complete answer. The first one I ordered developed a squeaky, noisy hinge about 10 days into its use....no amount of WD40 or equivalent would silence it. As usual, a complaint to Amazon resulted in the IMMEDIATE shipment of another one. That one lasted longer, but developed a rattle in the other hinge. As to sizing, these items run LARGE....use the measuring scale wisely and don't buy the bigger one if you are near the edge between sizes. I'm a big guy, and the extra large was simply too big and didn't work as well as it should. It didn't hold the kneecap as well as it should. My fault! Last, I don't know how you would clean it; clearly, after a number of days of wearing, the unit would be due for a wash. Perhaps I didn't read the literature well, but there is no intuitive way that I can see to separate the metal parts from the washable parts. What is working for me is physical therapy strengthening muscles, and a professionally dispensed unloading knee brace from the hospital. I'm not cured yet but I'm a lot better.

too small to wrap even tho my measurements matched the size chart No Return No Exchange

Beware - These are not returnable. If it doesn't fit you're out $105. I have other DonJoy double hinged braces in Medium. I wanted a wrap model that's easier to put on and off than a "sleeve." I measured carefully following the instructions; per the size chart I again purchased a Medium. When I tried the brace on the velcro wrap "just" connected with the body of the brace. Neither top nor bottom wrap was long enough to create the snug fit needed to protect the knee. Guess I should have waited until a local store got one in or purchased a different brand product that would allow me to exchange.

seems OK

That's a lot of money. It fit very tight first couple of days all ready somewhat looser but still supportive, Have not given it a real test. Use it for singles pickleball in another week or two.

Using for a cartilage damaged knee

This knee brace is working well, it helps stabilise my knee when walking. I have cartilage damage behind the knee cap that is causing me pain.

Returning the brace. Won’t work for me.

I’m returning the brace because it make my knee ache even more. There’s no defect. I’ve come to realize the only fix to this knee will be surgery. Sadly delay after delay with covid is making it even harder. Don’t get me wrong it’s a good brace but it doesn’t work for me.

Medium is too small; Large is too large and brace is not returnable

I bought this brace in medium as customer feedback was split between runs small and runs large. My measurements for medium were in sizing range, but it was way too small at the top, and the hinges were too far back. When I tried to return the brace by May 16, as per the instructions, it turned out NOT to be returnable. However, I was told I could be refunded, did not have to send back the brace, and if I bought the larger brace and supplied the order #, I would get my shipping refunded. I did order the brace the next size up and supplied the order#. The large brace is too large, and it won't stay up.I have to pull the tabs beyond the velcro, which leaves for a very small knee opening which puts pressure on the knee. I am wearing this for a meniscal tear, not a patella issue. The vendor did refund me for the too-small brace, and though I did supply my order #, I never got refunded for the shipping on the second order. Before I ask for a refund for the too large brace, I am going to try and cut down the tabs to see if this brace can work.
