If you buy this buy a few larger sizes
I bought a 2x size and most things fit me this size. This item was so small, it might fit a small child. Could not even zip it. I like the brand for a winter jacket but this item was really lightweight and small.

Not bad vest. keep me warm, easy to move around in
This vest is not bad and the nice thing is that it actually cover for your neck to make a semi turtle neck. It definitely kept me warm during the winter days inside my home while giving me a bit more flexibility on the arms. The first thing about this is that you should wear something under this as there are no sleeves and it does rub against the skin. If you happen to sweat, it will chafe a little bit. Another thing to notice is that there is no seal on the arm area to keep the heat retained. The jacket is very light and not too puffy. The vest is not form fitting though and not super tight. My body heat retains pretty well. It is just a simple black color so it can easily blend in with your dark color clothes. The zipper is pretty strong so you do not have to worry about it breaking. The material is a pretty smooth. You usually can run in this vest if you want but it is heavy. The instructions on the website says that this is machine washable. After washing it a few time in the machine and drying it in the dryer, I have yet to see much issue. It did not shrink or fade. I would say air drying is the best though to keep the material from wearing down. I have yet to see any issues with fading in color. There are pockets as well so you can keep your hands warm or keep stuff inside. I usually keep hand warmers in there if needed. The jacket keeps me relatively warm via the chest. It is pretty comfortable to move around in. Overall this is a great vest to have during the cold weather and a bit for rainy weather.

It’s lightweight alright…
I really struggled with the rating for this vest… Because so far it has worked for me, but I feel that long-term it won’t stand the rest of time. I’m pretty hard on clothes, but that’s my own issue. If you are the type of person who has a shirt that looks brand new after six months we don’t wear clothes the same… Not a bad thing, just different. After this vest was delivered I threw it on, and feels lightweight, warm to an extent, and I noticed a few threads poking out. My worry is that the stitching will go first, but again, I’m pretty hard on clothes. I think once fall hits it’ll be a perfect addition to my wardrobe, for those nights when it starts getting chillier. I even considered layering with it during the winter, and plan to if it doesn’t disintegrate first.… I Think I’m just so used to buying clothes at REI and the north face, that when I try to save a buck I’m convinced it won’t last very long. Maybe after six months I’ll come back and edit this post to let everyone know if this worked out for me. Either way for the price point I feel like this is a decent deal, and it looks really nice, so if you’re inclined to wear this to nice events, and not out in your shop like I might it’ll probably last quite a while.

More pockets please and a little less logo.
Since the pandemic started, and without fail, I wake up very early (I ALWAYS have, clearly that's not the subject of this sentence) and leave the house before 5AM and walk back and forth to the nearest park which is a little more than a 5 miles walk. I arrive at the park as the sun is rising and carry a bag of sunflower seeds to feed the squirrels at the park who have learned, I believe, that the guy in the vest brings glad tidings. Because it's cooler in the pre-sun time (even in Los Angeles) than later, I wear a vest, both to keep me warm and also to keep my seeds. This is a very lightweight vest, PERFECT for summer. I zip when leaving and in a about half way to the park (Maybe a mile), I unzip and wear till I get home. I have a pretty heavy one for winter, an insulated for Fall and two lightweights for Spring/Summer. Besides the logo (because I hate logos), this is a very good vest -- in fact, it has an adjustable drawstring inside so you can get a snug, more airtight fit, which is helpful when it's cold. This is warm while light enough to wear in the increasing temperature without being too warm. That's great. Here's the complaint: I carry a phone, a key, tissues (just in case) and my birdseed and usually a tube of lip balm. An inner pocket would be primo and of great consequences -- I use the two pockets (the only two) for my hands while the jacket is still zipped. The two extra pieces of fabric, plus maybe a zipper, would be worth the cost to me. I will also say that I'm an utter medium and it fits, but if you're on the border, go UP as the fit is smaller than what I'm used to in medium. Like I say, it still fits, but I can feel is as a little smaller, so be advised. Great as well: it's machine wash and dryable.

Nice vest; not wild about the collar
This is a brand that I really like, so I was glad to get this vest. Now that I've worn it, I'm still happy to have it and still think it's a good vest, but there are a couple of things about it that I wish I could change and I do think it would be a much better vest if they were changed. First, the collar is a little stiffer along the top edge than is comfortable. Maybe if you're always wearing high necked shirts under it, that won't be a bother, but it seems to kind of jab me under the jaw line. It's not really designed to fold down like some collars are, so it's kind of unavoidable. Second, it'd be great if they had included a chest zip pocket. Two zip pockets are good, but adding the chest zip pocket would've really increased the utility of the vest. Otherwise, I think it's a nice lightweight vest and a good value for this brand, which I associate with good quality based on prior experience. I'm happy to have it, I just wish they'd have let me weigh in on the two points I listed. If you don't think those will bother you, this is a good option to consider.
