I love it! This is is great
I love it! This is is great! According to amazon, it says I bought this November 9th, 2012. I use this on all of my night runs and every run in the winter. Most every run of mine in the fall/winter is in the dark! This vest has been soaked in sweat and washed many times times and seems to hold up well! It is light weight and comfortable to wear without a shirt underneath on those super hot nights in the summer. In the winter, I only/always wear a under armour mock turtle neck and a light wind breaker for my runs, even in sub zero temps. This vest fits great over everything. I am 6 foot and about 200lbs and my vest has room to spear. But i'm not swimming in it. Maybe with no shirt under it, it is a little loose, but not bad. One night I was running on a back country road, and this guy pulled up and said how well he could see me and thanked me for not being "a dumba$$ like those other runners who wear dark colors when running at night". That was a good feeling! And it made me feel a lot more safe when wearing it! I have also filled out the emergency contact info card that comes with the vest. I did leave it in accidentally when I washed it, but it was surprisingly in good shape. I have not use the key slot for my key yet, but it does look safe and secure. I always tie my key to the draw string of my shorts instead. If anything ever happens to this vest, I will definitely buy another one just like it!

Perfect
This vest was everything I was looking for and the price was very reasonable. I am a casual runner, 2 miles 5 times a week and a 5'11" 168lb male. I ordered the X-large vest and it is perfect for my build. The Velcro straps are in their minimum position which is ideal when running in a t-shirt, plus it give me room as the weather turns cold and I add layers. As many have mentioned, this vest comes down to the bottom of your chest, not your waist. If you are looking for a full length vest, this is not the product for you. The vest fits well and there is very little movement as I run. When wearing a t-shirt, the vest does not rub against my neck. I live in New Hampshire and do my running on dirt roads in the early morning. This being the case, there are no street lights and little lighting from houses. There are also few cars, but those that are on the road, have little time to react to a runner given the low lighting and the hills and curves of our dirt roads. My prior vest was a "hunter orange" vest and I can tell that cars can see me sooner when I wear the Nathan Vest by when they are slowing down and steering clear of me. The vest is doing it's job.

Amazing Running Vest
I've never reviewed anything on Amazon but I feel like I should make an exception for this amazing vest. First I'll counter some of the negative reviews. 1. This is a running vest, not a full safety vest. It covers your rib-cage, nothing more. If you need a full safety vest for work, this isn't for you. And to the insecure men that compared this to wearing a bra: get over yourself. 2. The velcro tabs that close it are velcro. Surprise! If your clothing gets ruined by velcro then it doesn't matter who makes the vest. Get yourself something that closes with buckles. The vest really is super light and comfortable. I run every morning in the dark and constantly forget I'm wearing it until a car almost kills me and I'm reminded that the only reason I'm alive is that they saw the vest. If you run in the dark or are planning on running a Ragnar event then this vest is worth it!

Look at Me!
I bought this for my daytime/evening roadwork along Vermont's heavily traveled and twisty roads. Most road shoulders are less than three feet wide with Armco barriers at most corners. Combine those dangers with incompetent drivers and it can get dicey. I noticed an immediate improvement in drivers' awareness of my presence. More importantly, they get plenty of warning. Whether I'm running in sunlight, snow, rain or twilight, I'm aware that cars and trucks are much more aware. And that's a good thing. As has been mentioned, the X-Large is a bit on the snug side (or maybe I'm a bit too chunky, still). In temperatures of 15-35 degrees, I'm in three layers, plus a sweat shirt. That's the context. The vest is easy on and off, seems built to last, and I even like the little elastic loop on front that prevents my iPod cord from flopping around. The one star demerit is simply due to the item's cost and exaggeration of it's claim to be Extra Large. Not in this America!

I want to be safe and seen.
I walk early dark mornings. So happy to be seen. Very comfortable. It fits over heavy winter coats and fits over summer shirts nicely.

Great for running and biking!
I used this for Ragnar this summer and it worked well. It is adjustable and I got the smallest one possible but there's still some room to spare (I am 5'2" 123lbs, athletic, small). This can be a good thing as you can use it on top of thicker clothes during winter. Although it seems a bit big, it stayed in place well and didn't move around as much. It's designed well that the arms won't get caught on the vest during the swings and it's super light it's almost as if it's not there. Can't comment as to whether it can cause chaffing if you're wearing tank tops because my runs were rainy and I was wearing long sleeves. I haven't worn it since Ragnar but I do expect to wear it more later this year when the days get shorter. The vest's reflective strips are also designed to hold lights if needed. Pretty handy!

Does the job
I've used this for a few years now. First bought for a Ragnar overnight relay. I do a lot of my running in the early morning before sunrise and this vest has done the job. I'm a small person (5'3" and about 95 lbs) so the only thing I don't like about the vest is that it is loose on the bottom - but it would be a bit loose for the average sized female runner, too, I think. The velcro only allows you to tighten it so far, so it does sway a bit as you run. This is not too annoying but if it's windy the whole vest can move off to one side/shoulder and this is annoying. I'm going to look for one that is adjustable around the waist. One other detail is that the velcro can catch on the yellow fabric and cause it to fray/wear a bit. This is minor, though. Overall I liked the vest and think it would work well for others. I just need something a bit tighter.

Small!
Although it is nice an light, it does not work well over winter coats and is very difficult to put on when puffy jackets are involved.

XL doesn't mean XL.
If you are a larger guy or gal then after factoring in your clothing (rather than a skimpy running top) this isn't large enough. If you have a chest size of 46" or more then don't bother. The vest is excellent except for the sizing issue. Great reflective strips, although I would prefer more on the rear for cycling rather than on the front for running against traffic. Both would be good. It has an emergency contact card in case you have an accident.

Vraiment bien
La plus grande taille est serré sur mon corps, mais ça ne nuit pas. Bon produit.

Good product
Very handy for night time runs. Takes up little space. Handy to throw in a bag.

Great
Very lightweight. Reflective is a 3m tape that reflect a lot. It fit more like a tank top. Also, for a 14 year old fit teen, the small size is kind of big. Overall I like it
