A good college student's 1st dinnerware set

We gave this as a gift to a friend's college freshman, and she loves it. It was inexpensive, and contained everything she needed.

First apartment? College dorm? Affordable and good quality.

I have to say that I am impressed with this set. After moving, I needed basic kitchen / cook ware. This was affordable, and everything is decent quality for the money (not going to be SUPER nice like expensive sets but if you’re trying to set up a starter kitchen, then this is for you). One of the things I was concerned about when I ordered it was how flimsy the knives might be - but don’t be fooled. They’re quite study. My only reason for giving 4/5 stars & not 5/5 was because my product arrived packaged with dust all over it. I was planning to wash all of them before use anyway, but I was kinda shocked how dusty they were. It kinda made me a bit grossed out, but once all of it was clean it was fine!

Would repurchase

Everything works as intended. This is a STARTER kit, something use while waiting for more quality items. As long as you take care of them, they will last maybe 2-3 years with regular use. Because of the value and items included, I would definitely recommend and feel comfortable giving as a gift to someone who needs it. Update 1: Exactly three years and a cross-country move later, I still have the oven pans, the small sauce pot, the clips, and one of the silicon utensils. All of the cutlery was very cheap and only lasted about a year. The rest of the items all still functioned as expected; they were simply replaced as I was able to upgrade. I still highly recommend this product as it got me through some tough times!! Update 2: Almost six years later and I still use about 10 of the original 50+ items. The stuff I don't use anymore is mostly from upgrading to nicer items over the years, not necessarily because anything broke. I'm an avid cook so have put everything through the ringer-- still highly recommend this set for a first timer. Replace the cutlery, knives, and pots first (in that order).

Ok for the price

This was a set for a part time place to live. Had all I needed. For the price it wasn’t bad but it is very flimsy especially the silverware. I think plastic ware is stronger. My small pot was dented at the top so the lid doesn’t fit on it. For something that is not for everyday use it is handy but definitely won’t last a long time or a lot of uses.

Not dishwasher safe

Bought for my daughter 's first apartment. Great starter set. Bit disappointed, as the description says dishwasher safe, however the box says Hand Wash Only for everything except the Silverware.

Great basics!

My daughter had a college cooking course but had NOTHING to cook with because she was in a dorm. This was perfect because it had all the basics in one box. Great starter kit for sure!

poor quality and everything was so small

do not order this product!! the depiction you see in the pictures is false!! the silverware, pots, pan, ice cube trays, cutting board, plates etc. were sooo small!!! I had to throw everything away and buy new ones. Also, the quality of all items was very poor. Talk about false advertisement!!
