Great jacket-how to get rid of chemical smell

Just like some other reviewers, my jacket arrived with a very strong chemical mothball smell! I really liked the fit of the jacket so was determined to see if I could remove the odor. First attempt was running it through a normal wash cycle with a cup of white vinegar, that helped slightly but not good enough. So 2nd attempt was a success...filled a clean 5 gallon bucket up with cold water, stirred in 1-1/2 cups of baking soda & let it soak for around 12 hours, then put in washing machine with Borax & Persil laundry detergent & ran a "soak" cycle (which is 30 minutes), then added a bit more Persil & ran a normal wash cycle on cold. Hung to dry...wanted to hang outside to dry but too windy on the particular day I did this. Just wanted to give my experience in hopes it might help someone else if you decide to keep the jacket.

Sooo stretchy

I’m 5 feet tall and 115 lbs and the extra small was perfect. I have to cuff my sleeves (because I’m a shortie) but that gives the jacket a little extra style. I love how stretchy this jacket is. Be forewarned that if you buy it be prepared to invest time in getting the smell out of it. As others have noted, it arrives smelling like it’s been in someone’s attic or musty basement for 50 years. I washed it three times. Before the last time I washed it I sprayed Odoban on it (generously) and let it sit in the before the last time I washed it. That helped considerably but the smell is there although it’s very faint. Think of it as the price you pay for a good deal and you’ll be less salty about the smell.

Pleasing Purchase

Just love this jean jacket. Had ordered in XXL and it was much too big for wearing over a summer dress as intended. So happy I reordered in XL - the fit is perfect to wear slightly open. It was also on back order and arrived much earlier than expected. I have been very satisfied with other Amazon Essentials clothing as well. The denim is good quality. Color is as expected. This item is a great addition to the wardrobe and highly recommended!

Cute jacket

I really like this jacket. It took quite a bit of effort to get the chemical smell out. I washed it in vinegar and baking soda, then hung it outside for a few days. Smell gone

I wear this at least 2x A week! Lookes great with leggings or over a dress. It's so cute and comfortable. Has good stretch so you can do all sorts of activity In it.

Firstly, this is so soft and feels great on. However it looks very boxy on me, I think it neeed to be an inch longer or maybe slightly tailored at the waist. I'll keep it for dog walking etc but overall am disappointed.

Lovely denim jacket

Very happy with my purchase I usually wear size 16 in a jacket ,so I ordered a large which fits perfectly. The colour is the same as the photo on website which I am loving. Would recommend
