A Few Minor Discrepancies
I'll begin with the "bad". First the color is EXTREMELY dark. Hopefully after a few hundred washings, it will lighten up. Second, the sleeve cuffs are different from my issue M65 jacket. They lack the flap that folds out to cover your hands in extreme cold. No big deal as I never used them anyway. Next, the zipper is plastic, not brass. That being said, the zipper does appear to be decent quality. Stitching on the Velcro could have been better. I had to go over it again. OK that covers my gripes. On the positive side, the material exactly matches my military issue jacket. As does the basic design. The included liner was of good quality as well. (Mine were issued separately) Fit should be correct. I put on some extra pounds over the years and ordered one size larger than what turned out to be necessary. Don't make that mistake! Order the size you actually wear & you should be fine. I find it ironic that when I returned to the states after The Vietnam War, somewhere between the airplane & the car I passed a dumpster. I had two VERY overstuffed duffle bags that I tossed into it. My primary interests were pretending the war never happened & growing my hair back as fast as I could to rejoin society. Here I am over 50 years later replacing some of my gear. A final note, none of my "gripes" were deal breakers, I'd buy it again.

I will edit after wearing for several months. Out of the box it seems okay
Fit is pretty close considering my height being short and shoulders being wider than normal. The waist tie meets right up with the waist, that's a good thing. Overall it's big, but I prefer that for comfort and unrestricted movement. I think if I went to a tighter fit it wouldnt be as comfortable.

good field jacket.
jacket is great, except,....THE REMOVABLE LINER HAS NO BUTTONS ON IT!!!!, so you cant wear it as a independent garment.

One of the better M65 jackets I've owned
If your looking for a slightly modern take on a classic go with this cost . First off this is my 3rd M65 I've owned throughout my 43 years they are one of my favorite style of jacket they are timeless the Propper made one is probably the best one o had an rothco and another brand I bought at a army navy store in the 90s what I like about this is the green is a little darker than normal army green it looks closer to the green the Japanese army uses and the collar is a little higher up than usual it's made well and the material is quality . Yes you can get a better one from another company that's closer to how the original but you might pay more. The only downside is where the Velcro is on the cuffs I like them very tight and if they added another 1/2 an inch of Velcro this jacket would be perfect but otherwise I can't complain I love the color 4 out of 5 stars I'm definitely liking all the gear I have from this company Propper I have 2 pairs of shorts and now my new winter jacket

VERY close to the real thing
This is a very high quality coat that's nearly indistinguishable from my 1980's issued M65 Field Jacket. The biggest difference is that the color shading seems to be just a tad bit darker then the original. I like it enough that I intend to pick up a black one too! If you're looking for the real deal M65, then this is it.

Decent reproduction.
Not a bad coat for the price. The sleeves are somewhat long but no big deal.

Just like the old days
I've owned 3 M-1965 Jackets including this one. The first my dad bought me at the post clothing sales in 1985, the second was issued to me by the Army in 1992, and this one from Propper. It's the same excellent jacket I remember and I don't know why I waited so long to get one. It stayed in service from 1965 to 2009 for a reason. The materials in this one are top notch just like everything else I've bought from Propper. Best of all Propper has tall sizes! Large/Long fits me perfectly. I'm 6'2" about 210 lb. I plan to get a black one as soon as my size is available.

Milspec Correct
This has all the spec features of the M-65 jacket in a black unit. I know because this is my third one. The first was issue in the '60s, the second I bought in 1990 (Tigerstripe) and this one in black. The first was lost in transit in the military or turned in, the second I have and is still good. And this one is more for urban use and I love it. The same spec durable fabrics, buttons and liners and friendly design with plenty of pockets, quality zippers and snaps. Proper does the best job at adhering to specs and not going cheap with the pocket buttors and durable snaps in the right places.

well made, crazy sizing
Well made replica of the M65 field jacket, certainly warm enough for late fall in Canada. I prefer the plastic YKK zipper to the brass ones. Taking off one star because the sizing is way too big. Like another reviewer, I'm 6'1" and a little under 200lbs -- I normally wear a large long and I was absolutely swimming in it. I had to exchange it for a medium long.

larger than expected
I bought the XL/R and should have got the L/R but overall really impressed with the jacket, the inner liner will keep you really warm upto -5/-10C

Nice jacket, but be careful with sizing
This is a nicely constructed jacket, and if it holds up well then it will be good value. The cuff adjustment tabs are not well done, and it would be nice if it had an interior pocket or two but I don't expect perfect at this price. Be wary of the sizing, it generally fits VERY large. The size guide from Propper is not much help either, maybe it assumes you're wearing three (or more) layers of bulky military uniform underneath before this jacket (with the liner installed) goes on. I'm 5'11", 180lbs, 40" chest, long arms and athletic build. I usually wear a medium long, so that's what I ordered. It was way too big in the body (felt like a roomy large) and had ridiculously long sleeves (they measured over 38"). I returned it and got a small regular, and it's just about right for me with two or three thin layers under it (and no jacket liner). As many others have said, unless you like a really baggy fit you can probably size down one size. If you want to wear a thick hoody under this jacket with the liner also in it, then probably order your normal size. The sleeves are pretty long on the "regular" fit ones, so I'd think hard about choosing the long version.

Great M 65
Great quality coat

Great jacket
Fit well. Only criticism is that it is a bit big at the wrist and could use more Velcro. I like my woodland version so much I’m going to buy a back one next.
